hello and welcome to this gms tutorial intended for fund manager and program officer business roles on how to add waivers and validate the timelines once the timelines are filled out by the hfu officers the tab should be sent to under authorization for your action the under authorization stage gives you the opportunity to review the instances created add waivers if necessary and validate the timelines go to the operation modality details section at the top of the tab if you notice that the section is empty and has a red tooltip it means that the budget or duration of the project goes beyond the threshold as defined by the operational modalities in this case as a fund manager you will have to add a waiver justifying why the project was approved only after this waiver is saved in the system will the requirements be linked to the project in this tab to learn more on what to do in this specific case please refer to the dedicated tutorial its link is available in the description of this video if the top section is populated with the timeline's requirements but you see an error icon or a red tooltip in the timelines section it means that the required instance has not been created as a fund manager you can decide to waive this instance adding waivers means cancelling an instance that is required by the fund's operational modalities please note the fund manager is accountable for all waivers inputted in the system therefore only the fund manager can upload edit and delete waivers on the gms if you do not wish to waive the missing instance but want the instance to be created in the timelines you can send the timelines back to hfu officers by clicking on back to timelines active if you do wish to cancel the instance and configure it as non-required click on add located on the right-hand side of the relevant instances section in the pop-up window select the reason for waiving this instance provide comments and upload documents if needed don't forget to click on save once an instance has been waived you can see it with the yellow square icon on the right-hand side of the section's title the number of waivers saved is indicated by the black figure click on the square to access the waiver's details [Music] once all the instances required by the om have been created or waived and you wish to validate the timelines go to the top section operation modality details it should be green and without error icons please note that only the fund manager or the program officer business roles are authorized to validate the timelines to do so tick the box and click on save you can also authorize the timelines by clicking on authorize timelines at the top of the page upon clicking on save the project's timelines are authorized and saved in the system you can now generate the grant agreement this is the end of our tutorial on how to add waivers and validate the timelines if you need more information please refer to the detailed guidance in the help portal article all links are available in the description of this video
