sure what is going on folks welcome back to another episode dogs don't eat any chickens no no chicken eating lucy lucy she's definitely gonna go eat a chicken all right anyway starting the day off feeding the animals come on buddy come back here leave them chickens alone leave the good girls leave them chickens alone hey how you guys doing you hungry or what sounds about right let's get them fed hey ralph girl knock me out buddy there you go rick ralphie hey quit hitting me there you go we need more bins that way i feel like we put more over there maybe not yeah i think the blue ones they probably knocked them off hey hey that was not an efficient drop right there anyways animals are getting fed lucy quit chasing the chickens we gotta fix that today i think the thing is the chickens can fly so i know they could get out kind of where why are they running i think the chickens can fly but where they get out is that gate down there i think we got to fix that because we did realize yesterday we didn't say anything because we weren't filming but we realized the two guineas are missing no idea where they are we originally had three one mi a long time ago we had two they also run around so like the chickens the guineas sometimes the ducks sometimes the ducks i think the ducks don't really go quite as far as the chickens what i'm saying is the gate down there has big holes so big animals can't get out like no the ghosts or anything like that but the birds can get out and i think that's where we're losing birds plus we got lucy who's a chicken killer when the chickens get out they always run down there and then the dogs chase them so i think today's objective we need to fix the gate is one thing the other idea we had was to move that red chicken coop since it's pretty light move the retching coop into the end of the animal enclosure and see if the chickens will use it because that will maybe they'll start laying eggs again um we moved them all in here so they stopped dying but what if you move the coop into the big pen so they don't die and maybe they still lay eggs they have a nice warm place to sleep i'm thinking that might be a good idea um but we are also and i'll get into this in a little bit i have some explaining to do we are taking some animals to the auction today we're going to load up the livestock trailer and sell some animals but before we do that we got to feed chungus chunkis you threw your bowl all right let's get chong get some food we're not taking chungus okay i'll i'll let you know you guys know we're not taking chungus there's a good reason for us selling animals today like i said i i gotta i'll explain a little bit more to you guys so you kind of understand i don't want anyone mad at me for selling the animals okay it's all for a good cause but chungus is not one of those guys it's your lucky day chungus what up buddy there you go yeah look at him he burrowed back in there it's a nice little house for you buddy he's staying nice and comfy and cozy so trunks is fed he's got water he's ready to rock and roll might want to give them oh they got enough grain for now we might give them a little bit some more soon saying dale you know i'm saying if you leave the door so we lost the ramp i have to build him a new ramp which isn't a big deal if you leave the doors open the chickens could just fly in there yeah but i feel like that kind of defeats the purpose where's the chicken we need to get a chicken in here oh there's hennifer where are you going buddy hey all right there you go what are you thinking she got used to the scooby snack strap until we get a ramp built i'll just leave these doors open i don't know if they'll stay open but we really just need like uh i don't know if a 2x6 would fit in there might need a 2x4 if we just get a little two by four i think we can build a ramp they've got some fluff already in their boxes we'll add some more fluff we'll see if they like it or not ralphie yeah these are way too short all right well they don't have a ram for now i mean technically they could fly up in there but you definitely want to get them ramped we think the ramp is just something to the auction [Music] all right i like it i think it looks good yeah well the chicken still get out maybe i mean it's basically the same as all the rest of them they i mean the chickens can fly if we the idea is obviously we're losing animals uh here and there the guineas uh the duck i don't know why that duck died it didn't die outside but having them run around in graze they know to come back at night but sometimes it's not enough especially the game i mean the guineas can fly like crazy and they both got catch out or they flew away i guess but having this should hopefully make sure most of the chickens stay in here most of the time as well as now we don't worry about lucy and millie killing them um that was kind of a big concern is every single time we came filming down here we had to make sure the chickens weren't here and then they'd go get them and we want to keep everything safe so we gave them a coup we got them a ramp in there will they use it honestly probably not i think it's been too long i think if we really want them to use that we need to like basically take all the all the chickens out put them in it and then put like a fence around that and get them used to it but it's there in case they want it maybe they'll start laying eggs maybe they won't but today's episode this is where i swear it gets a little emotional we have to let go of a couple animals here so you know as you know it's chaos out here which i like it i don't mind as long as animals aren't dying well we're having some animals die you know mainly just the birds not nothing big no big animals are dying but you know we kind of started thinking what we really brought it back was the 2020 recap video that i did we saw what it was like feeding the animals when there was a lot less animals and to me it seemed a little bit more enjoyable now we're not going to go sell everything obviously like i love carol i love all these animals okay i'm not trying to pick and choose favorites but we had thought about maybe we should you know sell off some of the hurt a little bit try to calm down the chaos one easy way to do it not easy but one idea would be to move the pigs the pigs are super loud we thought about moving them today into that old goat pen which is the old pig pen the problem is their water situation you have to have it full you have to have those tanks completely full in order for the pigs to be able to jump up and drink and there's no hydrogen over there which means you're after you're gonna run a hose if you're on a hose and it's winter they're gonna freeze it's gonna be an absolute pain is it my point exactly they fight a little bit they're not that bad rick no so we're like okay we can move the pigs but we're thinking we'll move the pigs in the spring it's just too hard to take care of him this winter okay then when we were talking about kind of what like you know reducing the hurt a little bit i got a message from a local viewer who asked me if i had any animals for sale they wanted to buy flare farm and i immediately said no i was like nah i'm not selling anything and then me and pool jet were talking i'm like dude maybe we should um especially if it would go to a good home now i don't want to just sell these to some random stranger who's maybe going to go slaughter them but if it's going to go to a good home and they're going to be well taken care of i would consider it so then we asked the person what they would want and they said goats and sheep okay so this is where it gets tough we have two sheep drake and josh i don't want to separate them if they're gonna go they gotta go together and this person really wanted sheep the sheep have been really good here we like them but it's two full-size animals uh they take up a lot of room and like i said this viewer would really appreciate if they had the flare formations and i know they'd get taken care of so we're taking the sheep to the auction now the reason we're taking it to the auction we're taking more than just the sheep but the reason we're taking the auction i didn't want to privately sell it to this individual um because i don't i don't know what the market is right now i wanted it to be fair for them i mean also fair for me and so i told them uh that i met this person at the auction so i know they go to the auction a lot so i told them hey on this saturday i'm gonna go drop it off and you can go bid on them this is gonna be the number that they're under that way it's a fair deal there's no insider trading type thing like they go to a good home and they get a good fair price so we're taking the sheep now they wanted goats now we have four goats okay we have karen we have rick we have jerry and we have jerry rick and dale are the three amigos and you can't separate the brothers now the odd person now is karen now karen and dale that's what they're doing right there dale's gonna be sad i'm gonna take his girlfriend we're selling karen okay karen is kind of the odd man out she is in heat right now it looks like um which honestly would be a good selling point i can tell the auctioneer that she's in he she's literally ready to be bred right now but there's no one here to breed her so like she's wanting to get bread and there's no one here to breed her so so the viewer that one of the animals they said the one of the goats they have bucks already um so that way karen could get but it all just kind of came together we're talking about getting rid of some animals karen just went into heat the sheep you know i think they do great together they do great with these other animals but they're they're really nice drake and josh and i think they could be they could use a new home like i said it'd be a good home that they're going to so it's not going to go to some stranger so with that being said we're also going to sell the turkeys okay now for one reason one reason only they're too big to butcher so you can't eat them and they basically them and lucy just fight all the time okay they also eat a ton of grain they're loud they're kind of obnoxious like they're they're funny like i like them they're good they're good turkeys okay we raised them from chicks by the way i'm emotionally attached to these guys we raised them from tractor supply as a little chick but as far as just like trying to calm down the chaos a little bit they would it would help because they're always flapping around they're making noise they're they're doing turkey things which is great but somebody else no they're not going to get eaten because they're too they're too big they're way too big to be eaten so whoever buys them is going to keep them as a pet a lot of people keep turkeys as pets so they're really good pets ed and eddie so we're going to take eddie eddie karen and drake and josh we're getting rid of all those animals today so with that being said i'm going to my truck load them up in the trailer and head to the auction you guys stay big duck that's a giant duck i mean we're no we're trying to downsize we don't need anything we're trying to we're trying to downsize we don't we don't need any more ducks we don't need any more chickens oh god oh we might have to pull the trigger look at how many wait why there's two four six eight nine there's there's nine oh this one looks like chungus hey it's a buck too hey you want to meet chungus you and chugga's going to breed buddy see i would get another rabbit but you got to separate them and taking care of one rabbit's enough work i don't really want to have to worry about too you gotta separate them until you want them to breed i like i feel like two females wouldn't fight but everyone said that they will you know what i'm saying like two females were just chill who's chung is fighting chungs ain't fighting nobody that's a [ __ ] [ __ ] oh wait these might all be boys look how cute they are dude little ginger ninja boss oh it's a dog hey right there hey you want to meet chungus hey big boy hey easy you want to meet chunky oh god damn dude they're so cute i've never seen them with these collars before this is crazy look how many there are these are just these are all giant flemish just like chungus but they're ginger ninja cup not that i don't love chunks but this is a cooler color oh way cooler yeah maybe in the spring when we have to deal with the winter we can get another rabbit pad and keep them separate because i like rabbits they're cute little chungus thing so anyways we're not buying anything today we gotta downsize no more buying shoes all right while they're off doing ed nettie things we're not really sure i mean like so they're too big to really eat um so i'm assuming people are just going to buy them for pets that's usually what people do but trying to downsize the herd a little bit trying to kind of calm it down obviously when one of the viewers wants some animals i know they're going to go to a good home i take advantage of it i'm not going to just go drop them off the auction and let some random person buy them maybe somebody wanted sheep meat not going to have drake and josh be slaughtered okay so anyways i i don't really want to keep buying any more animals at least until spring until we can expand the animal enclosure we're pretty limited to the animal enclosure in the winter we just have those two barns we don't really have a whole lot of extra space um for them to run around and we have all that pasture that they can graze but you can't keep them on that pasture because they over graze it so you have to kind of take them off so we're trying to downsize a little bit we'll kind of we'll get a feel for it i think it'll help having three less big animals as well as the uh the turkeys that are just super loud obnoxious i think it should calm down hope everything hopefully and then in the spring i want to move the chickens and the ducks to their own pen and as well as the pigs to their own pen which i think
