up keith calvess the landscaping employee trap this video is for someone who's a newbie who doesn't know how to make work orders or write receipts things like that to give your customer paperwork so if you just collecting cash or checks and you're going off a handshake you can only do that for so long before you you're putting a funny situation where you feel like a douche front of the customer because you don't have legitimate paperwork to give them now if you're anything like I was Anthony Robbins says change happens in an instant but it can take people years to get to that point why I was so frustrated because I didn't understand how do you put together paperwork I don't know how to do it I would go on the computer try to figure out how to create work orders or I would go into the office supply store and see these work orders for like 20 bucks you got to fill if for some reason it gave me like anxiety and it made me feel like oh it's too much I can't deal with uh and I would resist it and then once you've passed a fulcrum point to you get to the point where it's just easier to do it then to not do it you get to a point where you just go downhill you exhaled and everything becomes natural and then you say why the did I do that earlier that's how life isn't everything you know the emotional trauma or whatever the hell you might experience or the frustration of not being organized is really it's the more you resist that stuff and longer takes is the longer it's going to take so just realize organization pays you make more money by slowing down a little bit and being more organized and here's legitimate paperwork I'm gonna show you how to make a work order I did this myself on Microsoft Word on my laptop it was built in I click through it you know how people make those cheesy little birthday cards and all that crap you could do on the computer will find the area that says you know work orders invoices find one that you like and go in and design it this logo I got here my buddy Scotty and Dan they own made in Detroit multimedia and there Dan's a graphic designer he made that for me if you don't have a logo go on fiverr.com fi ber are calm for five bucks someone will design your logo if you don't know a graphic designer going Craigslist and find one so I went in and I filled out a little deed you know I did this over the winter and then you add more as you go you get better and better and better at it I guess really got to put well let me break down service quote here's all my information how can get a hold of me and at the bottom you know I given the price one trim all shrubs on property blah blah blah blah blah remove debris from property blah blah blah total it up right here and then you have them sign it I just put a little X and have them sign it with a date and then put paid in full and then sign it it's done rip it off there's a carbon copy how to do carbon copies at first I just had a bunch of white copies the local print shop made me carbon copies so you know I get one of the customer and I keep one for myself I still know which one the customer gets I just give them the white one and then what else I do when I leave a cloak quote I carry paper clips around and I'll put a business card messy Center comes off little business card in there too and then you another thing I'm going to put is this quote is good for 30 days or something like that and then also got one for the room of cleaning side of my business and I get this pretty much down to fill in the blank all I have to do is check box what they want of the different packages with the total at the bottom and then there's the business card see so once you get to that point you go get yourself clipboard from Walmart wherever for 15 bucks you got all your paperwork easy as pie you give that to a customer booyah you look more professional if you feel more confident and it's just some damn paperwork right now getting copies of my general liability insurance printed up to and I'm going to throw that in there as well so I give that to each customer on any you know big job or anything feels type of risky or if I feel the customer you know is concerned about that boom here's a copy of my insurance write down in there simple easy stuff always carry business cards the paperwork on you and then you could track that another way that I track it is each work order I snap a picture of it you know sideways with my phone and then I email it to my own business email with all their information attached and now it's really lacked in the cloud so if I ever need to access it you know I type in Jim Jones boat and all his paper pops up in the email email yourself pictures of all the time and then you could store it on the cloud and then it's organized so hope you got something out of that out what's today October 1st 2014 Wow all right bye
