The BEST Decision We Made

Laura Hardin

What do you like best?

We were previously using an all-paper hiring and on-boarding method. We switched all those documents over to Sign Now, and our whole process is so much easier and smoother. We have 7 terminals in 3 states so being all-paper was cumbersome and, frankly, silly. We've removed so much of the burden from our terminal managers so they can do what they do: manage the business.

What do you like best?

I love that I can complete signatures and documents from the phone app in addition to using my desktop. As a busy administrator, this speeds up productivity . I find the interface very easy and clear, a big win for our office. We have improved engagement with our families , and increased dramatically the amount of crucial signatures needed for our program. I have not heard any complaints that the interface is difficult or confusing, instead have heard feedback that it is easy to use. Most importantly is the ability to sign on mobile phone, this has been a game changer for us.

Bind payment field

hello everybody and welcome to our mondays mondays mentorship call i am super excited to have you guys here today because this is the time where we just sit down together and we talk about homeschooling we talk about the nitty-gritty stuff the things that are working the things that are not working the things that have been easy for us and things have been really hard for us and the idea is that we all come together to brainstorm to learn together and to help each other to improve whatever area it's needed in your home school so last week we didn't record we didn't record the call but we had a great call last week we were able to help some moms and i'm so thankful that we're getting together at least once a week to do this today i really want to talk about setting clear goals for your homeschool this is an area that i missed it like for so long i i just i nobody ever told me i should actually set goals for my home school i thought i should just buy curriculum open the book and start working on the book but i never sat down and really sad clear goals for my home school so what do i mean by setting clear goals for your home school i want you guys to think that um if you're going anywhere okay if you're driving anywhere most of us are gonna either know where we're going or if we don't know where we're going what do we use we use a gps right we put the address there or we use our phones or you know or the gps in the car put the address there and then we follow whatever the gps is telling us to do turn right you know uh whatever you know make a make a legal u-turn have you guys ever heard that on a gps because mine does that quite frequently make a legal u-turn make a legal u-turn in our home school there are many many times where we're gonna hear that little voice in our head saying make a legal u-turn this is not the right way to go and you need to make some changes so you need to have a clear direction where you're going you need to follow the what we call action steps to get to that place where you need to go and you need to know where you have missed the exit and you need to go back just turn around and fix it go back the right direction right so with homeschool is the same way hi rachel um yeah it's so very true you have to always be doing adjustments in your home school that is this is something that always happen and if you're not adjusting your home school by the time that you realize you have gone too far and now you have a big problem in your hands so my advice always is before you start your home school year and i do that twice i do that before i start the home school year back in june july august or whenever i start september was for us last year and then i did that again in january as i set goals for my own life right i sit down and i think about where are we now where do you want to get by the end of the home school year and what do we need to do in order to get there so you always have to be very specific with your goals um i love talking about goals you guys i love talking to this like i'm a goal setter and i'm a go-getter and and i think that it's this has helped me so much with so many things because i'm very persistent into accomplishing what i need to accomplish i do feel like procrastinating a lot of times let me tell you it's natural but i need to have my goals right in front of me so um oops i got a package in the mail go get it rachel it's my my bread cloth she gave me for my birthday she gave me a uh a bread making basket set and then the two things two things i got more okay that's good all right sorry you guys just got excited with presents birthday presents in the mail so yay so i'm a ghost-sided i'm a go-getter so you guys are not safe but let me just quickly turn my camera around uh this is me organizing myself and keeping track of everything that i need to get done um i have my affirmations on the wall here that i i read out loud every single day i have my little vision board there here on the side and i have my planner that i use at all times i just keep it next to me take all my notes write down what i need to get done write down um some notes some ideas that come to my mind write down sorry my camera is really not focusing well right now what i need to get done every single day appointments that i have so if i don't do this guess how much i get done nothing i get nothing done so i need to have my goals very uh clear right in front of me now somebody said that a goal without a deadline is just a wish okay it's the same thing with our children in our home school when i sit down and i make goals like specific goals general goals for our home school let's just say general goals for our home school right um what kind of general goals can we set for our home school we can say um this year we're going to read 12 books together that's a specific goal right but you want to make him measurable uh 12 but you can say we're going to read more books that's not specific not measurable not measurable but if you say we're going to read 12 books by june 1st you're making very specific very clear what does that mean it means that we're going to read probably a book or two a month so we can get to that deadline if i uh set a goal and say uh this year we're going to learn basic spanish so by the end of the year we will have learned we will have taking 10 weeks course at spanish so you make those goals very specific um you can say by the end of the year i'll teach my son to read right now that's not just that magically uh take place you need to have action steps so what do you do in order for your son to start reading what do you need and what lessons you're gonna you're gonna do and how committed are you to spend time reading with your child every single day right so you have to put those plans into action this is where i want to get but this is how i'm going to get there right so i want my kids to learn spanish but how am i going to do this well i'm going to have to sign up for a spanish class and once a week we're going to take spanish so you have to make sure that you're following up with those action steps right how how am i going to read 12 books at the end of the year well we're going to have to read at least one book a month and this is what we're going to do what books are we going to read and divide those chapters by week and then so you can accomplish that have general goals for your home school general goals are very important things that we all can accomplish together as a family through our home school maybe your goals this year is work on habit training habit training is life changing for any family teaching your kids to pay attention teaching your kids to be obedient teaching your kids to keep things in order teaching your kids how to treat each other nicely with respect these are things that we need as parents to spend as much time as possible training them right which is a good reminder to break down steps on goal setting sometimes i don't break down enough it is true just break into a small little goals that you accomplish every single day so let's say if you're gonna do reading you're teaching your child to read right you say we're going to do five reading lessons every week so what do you have to worry about every week getting five reading lessons done so you do one week at a time and as you go you revise the goals maybe you're gonna find out that half the way there like we're we're just pushing that too hard on the child maybe we need to take a step back tweak it and adjust it to work for you right or maybe your child is doing so well that you can do more than five lessons in a week and we all hope that that's gonna be true for us right so you can actually finish that book finish that curriculum before and adjust it make it work for your family but have some clear general goals once you have that established what i want you guys to do it has been so helpful for me is that have specific goals for each child have specific goals for each child okay while we can all accomplish certain things together they are all in different stages they're all in different levels and they all they're not cookie cutters they are individual they all have their own different pace right i always say like you know you you might have at the same time the turtle and the hair one takes forever to finish school and you have the other one who's like done in five minutes like have you done anything at all and the child is not right so you need to adjust according to each child and think about what does that child let's see child a child a needs to get better in math how will i help my child to get better at math well i think we need to get a tutor or we need to do a online program or maybe this curriculum is not working well for this child so i should consider another curriculum let's try another curriculum and see how it goes so you think about first you think about what what is it and then you think about how are you going to do it okay first what then how the problem when we think about the how first is that when we just we get overwhelmed but if we're clear on the what the how will follow you'll get specific steps to follow right so it's like it's like saying okay right now i want to lose 50 pounds you guys this is serious don't laugh but it's very serious i need to lose 50 pounds it's not that i want i need to lose 50 pounds so once i'm clear that i want to lose 50 pounds in six months i'm going to think about how am i gonna get there so normally i break down on the ways that i can get there and where do you think it's gonna help me you can you can just put on the chat whatever you think you know tell me some ways that it's going to help me to lose weight what do i need to do well i need a diet right i need to cut the things that are not being beneficial to my health and i need to put more nutrition right i need to exercise it's really hard for me to leave the house and exercise but i'm exercising so i'm going to break that down in a little bit so diet exercise what's the third thing let's come up with the third thing that is going to help me to lose weight what do you guys think diet exercise what else for me it's affirmations i need i don't know how to say i wish i knew okay so we all helping each other here but for me it's like affirmation because i spent so much time saying i would never lose weight because of my thyroid i'll never lose weight because i'm getting old i'll never lose i had to change what i speak over myself and i had to come you guys if i read my affirmations you're gonna laugh so hard because my kids do and my husband laughs because he goes to the gym with me and i say that out loud and he just laughs he's like are you sure i'm like yes i'm sure because i keep saying like i'm fit i'm musically [Laughter] i'm skinny you know i just keep saying this to myself but for me it is it was important that i changed my mindset in order to accomplish the the other things right so how am i going to diet what am i going to eat what am i not going to eat that's the how to those are the action steps if i'm going to exercise um when am i going to exercise how long do money am i going to exercise what kind of exercise am i going to do so i'm breaking everything down once i have that list then i can schedule those things in my life and i can be proactive doing things towards michael same thing with our home school same thing with our home school right if i have a child who let's say quote-unquote is behind and writing listen there's no such a thing as being behind in homeschool there's no such thing as being behind you walk according to your child's space in a and according to you know your child's um where that child is honestly because sometimes we're trying to push so hard and you know we want a child to be writing full paragraphs at age six or eight seven or my son did not even put two words together until he was seven right i don't know if some of you guys know the story but i thought i was a failure i thought my son was never going to read and it was all my fault and i shouldn't be home schooling anybody else have gone through this thinking like i'm messing up my child my son could not put your sounds together but at age seven right so i thought i had failed and i talked to a lot of a lot of homeschool specialists and you know and i remember julie bogart told me she said do not force him to read back up do not force him to read you continue to read aloud to him give him a love for stories in books and then when he's ready he's going to read do you know what happened a year later he started reading and he read 14 chapter books on he's on 14. he's not reading one book after the other and he still does that and he listens to all your books all the time i gave him the love for reading before he even could read and i didn't force on him i waited for him to be ready right but that was a big goal that i had to accomplish that year and it was a scary hairy goal for me because i felt like a failure at first and i had to figure it out ways tools that i could use to lead him in the right direction so he could start reading on his own and then become a voracious reader like he is today so whatever it is that that specific child has maybe the child we were talking about writing right that same boy is my only boy who had a really hard time writing oh my goodness he hated writing so badly so badly all of a sudden two years ago we in florida and we go on the play actually we were on the plane going to florida and he decided the whole time we were going to fly all day we're flying to las vegas and las vegas to florida i mean we left home early in canada so it was like a long day for us the whole time on the plane guess what he was doing he decided he was going to write stories and by the time they got to florida he had three full pages of story that he wrote and now he's ready he's 12. it took a while but guess what he is writing but why do we do we continue to have our writing lessons without forcing too much on him and he said you do as much as you're comfortable about doing it and we just add a little bit here and there it worked right so think about general goals for your homeschool individual goals for each one of your children now mama's let's talk about goals for us in our home school because we always like oh they need to do this they need to do that but what about us what about us i was actually having a great conversation with susan just before we start this uh mentorship call i had a call with her she's part of our home school sisterhood our membership program and in our membership program we have a lot of master classes and a lot of habit training resources and i'm going to actually quickly share if i still have open here i don't think i do but i open up to share with you guys i give you an example of how sometimes we love to blame our children saying like our children can do this our children can't do that but we don't stop to think about like have i allow my children to learn this have i you know set the example for my children when it comes to this so not to put any shame or guilt on anybody but we we often we um don't think about am i doing the right thing to help that child accomplish that goal so for example we were talking about habit training and habit training is life-changing i can't tell you enough you know how many of you think you're gonna what your kids are gonna wake up one day and they're gonna be organized responsible obedient respectful and you know he's gonna pay attention and everything that you tell them like how many of you think that this is just gonna happen it's not right it's they're not just gonna jump out of the bed and right susie i still i'm still wanting to wake up one day and that all has happened it doesn't unfortunately doesn't it takes us to train those children in those little habits so they can become responsible they can become uh you know keep things in order they can become i don't know how they start paying attention or all of those things you have to put the effort on it so i'm going to quickly share this with you guys because i think um it's really good so for example i actually yeah this is this is not the one i was going to share with you hold on hang in there let me find you let me find here oh there we go this is the one i opened the wrong one let me share this with you guys so i'm gonna quickly um show you a little bit inside of the home school sisterhood and what we have there so it's the same platform that we use for the common blast community but they have a lot more features they have a lot more going on there and they have classes for the kids every week they have book clubs for the moms and book clubs for the kids and things like that okay so quickly about habit training so when you're training your child i'm just gonna get this is a habit for this month let me maximize this can you all see the screen can you all see it yeah just raise your hand so i know you can see it there we go so i'm not going to play the video but this month we're working on the habit of perfect execution what is the habit of perfect execution is to give your best effort in everything that we in that we do so no one is going to do perfect things perfectly all the time your children's not gonna have the most perfect handwriting all the time you know they're not gonna do perfect math all the time but they're gonna give their best effort in everything that they are doing and that's something that we need to teach them to do it so we taught the kids and the teenagers here the sisterhood to memorize this poem and it's it's one of my favorite and it says good better best never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best so we teach them through stories we teach them through poems we teach them through scriptures and i teach them the first big lesson of the month where i lay down what the habit is and then the moms carry on through the month reinforcing it and we do reinforce it through everything else that we do but here's where i want to get we we give them like resources and and everything else but here is what we give the moms too and this is from laying down the rails which is a resource that we use a lot and we have a training the sisterhood and these are questions to ask yourself about the habit that you're training your child so for example when you're trying to help your child ask yourself do i tend to excuse my child's faulty work because he's a child do i tend to excuse my kids bad handwriting my son's been writing because he's a boy right am i encouraging my child to form all his handwork carefully am i teaching them to pay full attention to follow the details um am i requiring a little work well done rather than a lot of work sloppy dance properly done right it's always better to do less but to do better there's no questions the less you do the better you can get things done and i think that this is something that a lot of homeschool moms are not aware of they think that the more that they get done the more the child is going to learn and it's not true see if my child is learning to write a paragraph i just need her to write one paragraph well written i don't need her to write five paragraphs and she's gonna run out of ideas and then it's gonna start being just a bunch of blah blah blah that makes no sense so do less but do better and then as you do you focus on those specific habits that you're working on with your child right so this is just an example set goals for you as well well i need to be more organized i need to be more consistent i need to pay more detailed attention to what my children are doing and how they are doing right so think about goals for you what is it that you're hearing holy spirit whispering in your ears right now that you need to start setting those goals to help you so you can help your child to accomplish the goals that you have set for your child when you set goals for yourself you are aiming for success and you have to be persistent keep those goals right in front of your eyes for me you know think about um like for me i need to make sure that i have my work done so i can stop and give my children attention and get their work done with them right so i need to set some boundaries that's part of my goals my goal is that i need to get everything done before certain time so i can stop and i can homeschool my kids and then i can continue my work later on so let's say my specific goal is to put in three hours of work every day one hour and a half before home school an hour and a half after home school and then what do i do i keep track of the time that i have to get my work done i put an alarm on my phone so i sit down and focus on what i need to get done before this can be done it's done so you got the goal and then you have to get you got the watch then you get the house and you continue to work on them so as you work on those goals for yourself you help your kids to work on their on their specific goals then you also work on all the general goals for your home school any questions about setting goals for your homeschool anything specific that you want to know how to do it i see simona taking lots of notes simona you need to come visit me you need to come come for tea i told you yes so need to come in and visit okay the other thing that i highly recommend you guys do set the goals okay susan's saying i struggle with what reasonable goals with work home and home school susan have you seen my post on creating your ideal week let me share with you guys this quickly let me see if i can pull mine quickly here all right here's my question for you how would your ideal week look like if you could magically rearrange your week so you know exactly when to work when to homeschool went to rest went to clean the house how would it look like i'm going to show something that i've been using for many years and i've been teaching other moms to do the same thing and it's called my idea week and i have a template and you guys can use it too so this is what my idea week look like now remember this is ideal it doesn't mean that it's going to be like that 100 of the time but i strive do my best to have that in place now i do not believe in having everything done on the right time but i believe in having a routine set because if i say i'm going to do this from 705 to 7 20 and something happens in between or i need to go to the bathroom in between in between then my time is gonna be you know poof gone disappeared and i'm not gonna accomplish so i believe in having a routine and followed everything every single day so this is my idea week and i teach a lot on this because this helps moms to get everything organized in their lives yes you can have an organized life you can accomplish something so here's how i do these on the left here the column the column here that you see the times this is just for me to have an idea what time of the day that i'm doing things it does not mean that i'm going to follow this because i don't i'm actually not even up or that early anymore i got kids now who wants to sleep late so i sleep late too so here's what i do this is my idea week my idea week starts this way starts a quiet time in bible take my shower get dressed do a little bit of get work done before i do anything else then i have breakfast for the kids then we do whatever we need to get done in the morning so for me i have book club on tuesdays the kids have book club on thursdays then we got friday feasts on fridays so we have different things casual here that are part of our homeschool group and then we have our time that we work on character bible language arts math history science whatever it is so i put down on my ideal schedule and i actually have to tweak this and i'll add this time every monday that we just started so everything else still works the right way here then after i have another block of time for work as soon as the kids are done with their home school which is about 2 2 30 in the afternoon sometimes up to 3 o'clock then i'm working until my husband comes home then once he comes home we make dinner we do chores we clean up i just leave my evenings and weekends open so i have plenty of margin i can spend time with my family i can do the things that i need to get done and when i have those blocks of time to clean or to do anything in the house or to do work or to do homeschool it has to be focused it has to be focused i cannot be all over the place so creating your ideal week schedule really helps you to it's almost like you know you know when we create a budget and you tell your money where to go creating a schedule is telling your time where to go and when you tell your time where to go and your focus and accomplish that you're going to get so much more than so much more than and i still have plenty i think i have like five hours to homeschool every single day i don't use all those five hours ever we probably take two three hours to be homeschooled maximum with all three kids so have clarity what is it that you want your day to look like and then start working towards the goals and turning the ideal week into your everyday your everyday routine or every week routine work on being very specific about the goals that you want to accomplish and keep those goals right in front of your eyes that is like my best tip for you once you do that you have purpose you have clarity you just you know you know exactly what you need to get done every single day and it does make home school way better it does i promise you guys this hi cutie pie so anybody having a hard time hi anybody having a hard time with uh having clear direction to your home school what's what's happening in your home school right now stacey have you ever set goals for your home school yes do you do that at the beginning of each year yeah i usually do it like you at the beginning of the school year and then kind of at the new year because i do that like you i do a whole thing before january to just get my year laid out and i just i include work and home and home school those are like my three big things yes the three big rocks that's what i did too and then everything else will come but yeah those are the three big rocks that you need to get that's good how about you sasha have you ever sat down in and just set goals for your home school yes i try to set goals but i think after listening to you maybe i need to get a little more specific and you know i guess clarify a little better what i want instead of being so general yes and so um my biggest thing is by the afternoon you know i try to get everything done in the morning but by the afternoon i'm kind of like exhausted does that ever happen to you like you're a person so it's just hard to try to push through that afternoon that's probably my biggest stumbling block right now yeah but sometimes um afternoons if you know your morning's gonna be busy have some quiet times like in the afternoons for the kids and for you to establish that quiet time just to give yourself a little bit of break in between that and then dinner and laundry and whatever else that you still need to accomplish for the rest of the day um your kids do you start back up after your quiet time like if you don't finish all your homeschool in the morning and you take like an hour quiet time and then do you just pick right back up after it depends on what's happening on that day a lot of times yes and a lot of times this we can start again tomorrow because today it's already late you know or a child is not having the best attitude and i need to deal with the heart of that child first and that's where my attention is going to go but listen if you can't finish everything in one day there's always tomorrow the thing is that we we need to break through that public school mentality that if we have a lesson plan for today we have to accomplish everything i don't do lesson plans for the day guys i really don't um i don't have a homeschool planner let me just be playing and honest with you i have a life planner but i don't have a homeschool planner because i've learned my lesson since the beginning and i've been doing this for eight years that life will happen and all those lessons that i planned for months in advance are not gonna happen on that day something so i don't do that anymore what i do is i do the kind of like reverse engineer i write down what i got done and you can do that in a notebook write down what you need the basics of what you have to get done and then write down what you got done that way actually you never feel behind and get your kids used to have a checklist so they know what they're getting done teach them to have ownership teach them to have responsibility let me show you what i use just one second hold on okay you're supposed to be ready it's supposed to be raining or your sister's doing the quiz then is then done with his wins okay [Music] okay and ben is that with this quiz so all right i'm gonna show you guys this so this is something that i created a few years ago and we we have so many people downloading this from the blog it's free i can give you guys uh the link so these are i don't know what's wrong with my camera but it's not very clear these are home school weekly checklist so everything that my kids need to get then for chores early in the morning and then individually and then in group i have and this checklist for them and you can personalize your your list right and i also i bind it together like a little planner so before they start school they can grab their planet they know what they need to get done and then they just follow the checklist actually can you wait until mom is done oh there's the other side go to it she didn't see the other side of the quest so yeah so um i i need to wipe it hold on see what's wrong with this camera here because this weirdo don't know if it's going to help but this is supposed to be a 4k uh resolution camera and it's not it's not really being the best anyways so this will give your kids direction just like you have a ideal week schedule for you that's kind of like their ideal week schedule but with a place to check like their chores and whatever work that they got done every single day um sasha this helps my kids also to be motivated because at the end it says yeah you're free to play for the rest of the day once you've done with your home school now we do not do all of these things every single day far from it we probably do a third or half of it okay so this is not to be done everything in one day so there are days that they do some of those stuff and there are days that they don't do um some of those stuff and there's some extras too like if they have piano spanish portuguese whatever it is that they are learning then they mark it here or art music whatever it is so that's just a good way to to keep track of what needs to get done every single day and it helps them so i actually have a similar thing for me so i can get my stuff done every single day too thank you welcome all right rachel falcina you were commenting something here hold on let me see okay let's see if we go back here to the okay she said i'm currently unschooling because i struggle with consistency and routine all this information is great so i hope i can do goals for us rachel even if you're on schooling you can still have very clear set goals for your own school very sad like you because when just because you're on schooling doesn't mean that you're not learning that you're not doing anything so you can be very specific and you can say well this week we're gonna um we're gonna watch documentaries about ancient egypt this week we're going to visit the science museum this week we're going to read a novel and discuss this novel so you can have clear goals and still accomplish that right i have many friends who who do unschooling as well and you can still come up with clear goals for that um let me see i miss a lot of your comments you guys oh susan's saying i love my planner but i only lay out a week at a time so if something goes wonky now weak we're not feeling overwhelmed or behind i do the same thing with my life planner so what i do is i pencil the big things that i have during the month but then i just do one week at a time with a with a pen because if something changes i'll just have to scratch out and stuff but yeah i um rachel is saying i do that too and it helps for high school record keeping too yes do that so you can do you can take notes of everything that you get done instead of planning and not get that thing done on that time on that specific day or you can also have a checklist something that the kids can write down put the number of the pages that they accomplished i like like the master books um i don't know how many of you guys use master books but master books at the beginning of each book has every week and every lesson so you can write down when you when you did it when you completed in the dates and i find it that alone it's kind of like keeping the records for all your math or your language art so you can just take those pages and and and uh file those for the records of what the kids have done during that year other thing that i want to suggest to you and this has been really fun to do every year you can create a vision board for your home school and involve your kids everything that you do you should involve your kids because they will get excited about it so i involve my kids in picking the curriculum i involve my kids in picking books that we're going to read um we talk about field trips that were like places that we want to visit things that we want to learn so right now we want to learn about pioneers so we look for things all things pioneers so you want to make sure that that's kind of like a theme for the things that we do and um you can create a vision board for your home school we had a year that we wanted to visit all the um lighthouses and the island where we lived so we put pictures of the lighthouses we put pictures of the curriculum we want to use we put pictures of the books we want to read we put pictures of places that we want to visit things that we want to accomplish so you can create a vision board and again let the kids you know see that i'm like oh yeah mom you thought we were going to do nature walks every week this year that was our goal we put it on the vision board we put all these pictures of nature places and and what has a good reminder well let's do it and let's schedule it so it actually happens it's not just a dream board you know like let's schedule let's let's set those action tasks so we can actually accomplish that all right um this is something i love the idea of vision board for your home school yes so you don't have to do a vision board just for yourself which i do every year i got my vision boards here um but you can do it for your home school as well you can do vision boards for your family you guys it's so much fun at the beginning of the year let's dream as a family what we're going to accomplish i'll show you what we did this year so for example we wanted to pay off our rv so we put a picture of our rv and we wrote paid in full that's our goal it's like every day right there right so that's something that we are working on i have my goals here and i'm gonna write down and every time i write my goals i actually write in the present tense i don't say i will i say i am i am doing this right because every day it should be truth truth to me that i'm getting that i'm working on that thing while i'm working towards that thing so i'll read to you what i wrote i said i am blessed with divine ideas and strategies to write books in bible studies i am anointed to preach and i teach god and teach god's words i'm called to impact millions of likes everywhere so i write down the things that i want to accomplish and what i want to accomplish that year as i am doing right now right i want to write bible studies i want to write books um i i don't say like oh i will one day if i just write out with one day i'm never going to do it and put those things make it very specific if you have a goal if it is like we have done you know we wanted to be debt free we put down the numbers in our board it's like we want to pay 24 000 in credit card dash and we kept it right there in front of us every single day and every month we were getting were you know trying to get those numbers out and eventually we became that free when we wanted to buy an rv we had a picture of an rv and oops and every day we had a vision board with a picture of the rv and we were working towards saving the money and trying to buy the rv same thing when we bought our truck so have those clear goals for your family for your home school for your life like my 50 pounds last is coming but it's really good it gives you the motivation that you need it gives the encouragement that you need but it gives you the road to follow hi sarah thanks for joining us can you hear me i see your your audio is still connecting so this is this is pretty much it for today for our mentorship time i want you guys to have very specific goals for your home school general goals specific goals for your children and then goals for you as a homeschool mom make sure that you're creating your idea week make sure that you have always something punched in the gps that you can follow right hi sarah can you hear me well okay let me let me um meet you so i can hear you okay let's kick click click on the screen where it says um mute on the top see if you can find the little there we go okay i can i'm still not hearing you can you hear me now yes okay thank you jesus yeah so we were talking today about setting goals for our home school okay being very specific about setting goals and we talked about the importance of setting general goals for a homeschool setting specific goals for each one of our children and setting goals for us as homeschool moms what is it that we need to work on so actually it can our home school can feel better right maybe a goal for this year is plan meals every week how many of you guys plan your meals i have seasons where i'm planning all my meals and i have says i'm not planning any meals you know like just put the frozen pizza in the oven that's all we're gonna have for dinner but i have to admit when i'm planning meals all the time everything flows easy i don't have to stay in front of the refrigerator when my husband walks in hungry and look at him so like i have no idea what we're eating tonight honey you know so it's something that it takes 10 minutes sunday night 10 minutes i actually have a whole part on my blog on my blog on my planner just for that so we do a kitchen inventory so you write down everything that is on your fridge in your pantry and then you write down some ideas for meals so let's say in my pantry i got lots of pasta and then i got tomato sauce and then i got ground beef in in my fridge right in my freezer so hey i can make spaghetti bolognese or i can make spaghetti meatballs so you kind of like write down the ideas once you have those ideas and you have a general inventory of what you have because i always plan my meals by what i have not what i need to go buy that's the trick so if you do well first of all you're making sure you're using everything that is on your pantry before you go and buy more right and you become more resourceful more creative too and it saves more money and then once i have the ideas i just go and start filling up what's going to be for breakfast what's going to be for lunch what's going to be for dinner and it literally takes me 10 minutes on a sunday night to get that time and then during the week every single day i know exactly what i need to take out of the freezer earlier and start cooking so maybe something that is a golden you need a word kind we need to work on right and it does make life easier it saves me time actually because i'm not wasting my time thinking like oh what am i gonna do and then you try to do something like oh i don't have this so i can't do this now i have to think about something else does that make sense yeah yeah have a specific day for laundry have a specific day for lounging get the kids to put their clothes away fold it and put it away guys listen it's work to train them but once you train them they will do it right so what goals can you set for yourself to help them in the house work better you know any specific questions about homeschooling anything even like off the top what we're talking about that you guys want to ask me well you're all doing amazing with your husband i'm so proud of you oh no we're not amazing here we are completely failing at the moment okay tell me about it alright so i've got three boys uh one has graduated and gone off and joined the military and the other two are 12 and 15 and we had our first year was a huge setback for the middle child with uh mono and epstein-barr and he just it it took a year and a half for him to really recover for that so that set him back because he was sleeping all the time and then we've had you know big life events multiple moves debts in the family and and then kovid running rampant thankfully not through our house but it's just everything just seems to sit us further and further and further back so now where we were just six months behind then we're a year behind and now we're even further behind that and it's just we try to do the schedule and get everything done in a day and we have a few good days of getting it done and then it just falls apart again it just i don't know the slightest little thing distracts us and we just stop sticking with the schedule actually think i'm the problem uh you know in in 2017 in march of 2017 my my mom had uh major back surgery and so i was helping her with that um and then and then her mom died two weeks after her surgery so i was you know she was i was helping her get through the grieving with that well then that december her husband my dad died oh wow and then she ended up in the hospital a couple weeks later uh from pancreatitis and and then it just took like a good couple of months after that for her to physically recover and then you know more months to to get through the grieving process and it just so all of my attention suddenly went away from my kids and a hundred percent on my mom trying to help her navigate being a widow and it's taken a lot it has taken so much of me that it's i was amazed at my that my oldest managed to get as far as he did and even he was he was struggling not academically but just you know everything kind of fell to him to kind of take care of the other two yes and and that it wasn't fair of me to put him through that but at the time i didn't know what else to do when i asked people for help no one you know all the people who say oh if you ever need anything to call me well i did and they wouldn't show up yeah i i know how that goes i i went through and i don't share a lot of what i go through but we went through hell for two years in a row with a bunch of things too and honestly we survived on my kids doing the basics every single day and audiobooks and documentaries that's how we had to survive i was in bed for six months in a row i was hospitalized five times it was you know it was one thing after the other during that time it was really hard on us so my advice to you is when things get stressful when there's too much happening where there's death in the family whatever can you keep the basics language arts and math just stick to those two forget the rest forget the rest you don't need a science experiment you don't need to do geography you don't need to do history stick to those cheer right and now house is the three because we stick to bible language arts and math train your children to be independent with those things my kids are 9 10 and 12. i today it's been a busy day for me i've done coaching calls i'm doing this call all three of them have done their bible the language arts and their math and my two oldest have done math quizzes while i was doing my work today and now after finish here we're gonna actually do history together but can you focus on the absolutely basic and get that done because this is the most important right you want you want your kids to be on the right level for math and language arts everything else when they learn they learn listen when our kids get their first job nobody's gonna ask them if like how much of the civil war do they know there's things like honestly you guys it's good for their head knowledge but it's not gonna make a difference for them to get a job or for them to join the military but math and language arts they need to know how to write well read well they need to know the basics of that even like math you guys how many things have we been studying in math for 12 years in school 10 years in school that we have never used in our lives right true let's be honest we all want to raise geniuses but keep the basic and then everything else will follow so here's what we did well we were going through a hard time right we kept the basics if my kids could do one page of language arts and one page of math every single day it was good enough for that that season for us then what we did was once things start getting better i put the language arts and math aside and we did a full week of history we did a full week of science we caught up with those as much as we could then we start restructuring back into doing all the subjects you don't need to try to all of a sudden we're gonna do all the subjects every single day perfect and and consistently but you can do one subject every single day two subjects every single day and as you build the consistency and as you start catching up with things then you start adding a little bit more and a little bit more for me that's the best way to recover when you feel like oh you know it's been a year and a half it's been crazy so what we've done to you so my kids use master books and they use cgc math for math don't ask me why we do two maths it's just because they like the books it's easy for them and we love the the online math why because i don't have to teach they sit on the computer they watch the video for two minutes and it teach them when my son was having math meltdowns every single day it was what saved it was our saving grace my son was we had to push me off aside for a whole year because he would just cry sob you know knows running down the whole yada yada for because of math right when we finally got into this curriculum and he was able to understand he got a whole year of math 34 months but all i had him doing was focusing on the math getting the concepts everything i done i didn't let him do the math and everything else i kept it very like to the basics and let him focus on the math four months he got one year of math time my nephew was having the same problem we just did exactly the same thing with him he was behind he was supposed to be doing sixth grade math and he wasn't there yet so i sat down with my sister says okay let's do this and see what's going to happen he died with a whole year of math in just a few months and now he's getting back into the level that he was supposed to to do so don't feel like you have to go back to everything language arts and math get back on track with those then when you feel strong enough then you get back on the other the other subjects that's the best way to go does that sound doable does that remove a lot of overwhelm from your shoulders it really does it it really does and and that's i mean that's kind of sort of what we've actually just been doing lately i think it just needed that that affirmation that somebody else to say it's okay to do it that way totally okay totally okay and listen don't think that you know they haven't learned anything with everything that has happened because sarah grieving is a big thing and grieving one loss after another the kids mature they learn they learn with everything that is happening and and that's what i i mentioned that before but when there's something happening with a child or something that's happening in the house parenting the heart of that child is a lot more important than getting science done a lot more important and in home school there's no such thing as feeling behind you can still catch up so these kids are going to continue to learn their entire lives they don't need to know everything by the time that they are 16. this is just like how we have engraved in our in our minds right and don't compare your child don't compare your child sometimes we want to compare we say like oh but my 14 year old should be doing this by now because all his the other 14 years old already doing this sometimes the child that you think that is behind is going to go like way ahead of everybody else because of how they had to catch up with or you know whatever it is but don't allow yourself to feel like a failure don't allow them to feel like a failure and sit down and make a plan i i always at the end of the year i always have what i call a plan of attack so so i know what i'm talking about and i know your words guys so i have my plan of attack at the end of each year that says oh i need to get more done of this before the end of the year so i can accomplish my goal right and then i do like let's do a science camp week let's do a history camp week and then that's all we do because that's the subject that i had to leave behind so i could get the other ones done and you'll get there little by little you get there it might not be done in four months it might be might take a year but you will get there the thing is don't give up just keep doing it okay thank you jesus that you always give us strategies and we're not alone anybody else needs some help with your home school are you all good i need i think i need myself to get moving and organized organized and encouraged to to help him that's my struggle yeah i wasn't raised here to to know how to set goals and oh listen being organized it's a struggle for everyone guys this is my this is my vision board for this year right okay what do i have on the bottom here tell me right because this is a this is the goal that we we always felt like we need to get a little bit more organized we need to you know keep our eyes on the goals that we need to do so simon my advice to you is that pick one area that you need to be more organized because you're not going to become organized in all areas at the same time pick one area and then you work on that area maybe you need to be more organized with fill in the blank more organized with the house so actually you can sit down and focus and doing homeschool with the kids or i need to be more organized on our homeschool lessons with our homeschool books so i can have more time to take care of the house and cook dinner right so pick one area and then you work on being more organized in that area once you conquer that area you pick another area that you need to be more organized and then you work on that second area does that help you don't have it listen you guys we don't have to do everything at the same time we don't have to conquer it all at the same time we can work with one little thing make it better move to the next one make make it better move to the next line right so yes sometimes that's what happened focus on the house focus on the food and then the rest second and then the third and then you know and then the child okay so this is this is sad but it's true my husband was saying the other day he was making a joke he said um what was that he was telling the kids don't make any noise because then your mom's gonna realize that you're there and it's gonna tell you like go get your math books done or something but if they are quiet i am assuming that they are done with their work that's why they are quiet right that's why i'm not seeing them sitting around here they're actually all there on the corner um so i i um i i okay so i'm the kind of person i'm very productive i want to be very productive so i'm always using my time to get something done right so if my kids are just sitting on the sofa like that i'm thinking like what can i ask them to do so i'm like have you cleaned your bedroom have you made your bed um do you want to go you know not that they want to go but like can you go clean the closet for mommy and hang in the jackets you know and my husband was like kids just stay quiet don't don't look don't make a pip your mom's gonna remember you're there and she's gonna tell you to do something but yeah it's true it's true anyways what can i say yeah ladies well thank you so much for joining me today like we went like way ahead of our time here it's been a few more time a few more minutes together but thank you for letting me serve you because that's what i love to do the most is help moms you know and when i started homeschooling i had nobody to help me nobody for three years at home schooled on my own and it felt so lonely and i was so frustrated and i was overwhelmed and when i started getting you know more confident in what was actually working well for me i decided i was going to help other moms and for me it's it's a privilege it's an honor and it's a ministry it's something that i believe god has called me to do so when you show up for our zoom lifetime you're allowing me to you know do what god called me to do you welcome simona and you need to come visit me i told you that we need to set a date and yeah can i just pray for everybody yes i want to say very great and magical all right let's pray for everybody happy father we thank you so much for our community we thank you for the privilege and the honor to home school thank you for the blessing of getting together and blessing one another helping one another and lord god i love brainstorming with other people because sometimes they can see things that i'm not seeing and i can see things that they are not seeing so we thank you jesus that we have this time together just to talk about whatever you put in our hearts to talk about so we can make our homeschool better i bless them right now with clarity and i i pray father god that you will help them to set clear goals for their home school general goals goes for the children goes for themselves and lord that you will help them put everything in perfect place and lord for um sarah and her boys i pray lord that you're gonna give her a plan of action and that she's gonna be able to catch up and and get the boys exactly where they're supposed to be and um lord i know that you're a redeemer you're a redeemer there's no wasted time with you there is nothing that you cannot redeem and lord we know that you can do above and beyond all we can pray and ask for we know that thank you lord for blessing us thank you for protecting us thank you for providing for us in jesus name we ask amen love you ladies thank you for joining me i look forward to next monday together have a good afternoon thank you thank you so much i know you're welcome bye have a blessed day you too

How do I add an electronic signature to a PDF in Google Chrome?

Sign documents right from your browser using the airSlate SignNow extension for Chrome. Upload a PDF and add information to it. Keep in mind, airSlate SignNow doesn’t use digital signatures, it uses electronic signatures. Manage your deals online without printing or scanning. In addition, because airSlate SignNow is cloud-based, you can log into your account from any device and still have access to all of your documents.

What is the difference between an electronic signature and a digital signature?

The most important thing to note is that both electronic signatures and digital signatures are legally-binding. For inserting an electronic signature, a signer only needs to add a symbol and indicate their intent to sign. While to digitally sign, a signer needs a digital key that confirms their identity. Therefore, it’s more challenging to close deals using a digital signature because you have to be sure that your recipient has the proper type of key (and they aren’t as simple to generate as eSignatures are).

Where can I sign my documents?

Actually, the main benefit of electronic signatures is that they don't have to be applied in some special place. Simply sign the documents and close your deal. Manage documents from anywhere in the world using a smartphone, computer, or tablet. Using airSlate SignNow, you only need an internet connection to sign a PDF or send it for signing. You don't even have to install an app; access your account, contracts, invoices, and agreements right from your browser.
