this training video is to walk you through how to purchase a gift certificate so the only place you can purchase a gift certificate is under individual customer order in your back office or you can go through your front office and select shop so I just went to my reps my rep website and then clicked shop and it brought me to my parties now gift certificates cannot be purchased through parties and the reason for that is they do not count towards a party total or the party volume until they are redeemed so you can use them to buy pay for something in a party but you cannot purchase them through a party so you're going to click here if you're shopping is unrelated to an event and then you're you can hit select category and go whoop go down to gift certificates here it will bring up all the different dime gift certificates that we have I will purchase a $5 gift certificate Add to Cart and then view card here you're going to proceed to checkout don't select then even this will ask you if you want to select an event do not select an event continue checkout without an event and then you're going to enter your name so I will just enter all my information for the person that you're purchasing it for why that's helpful is you're gonna keep a log and I'll show that to you it'll keep a receipt for all of your gift certificates purchase and when you get their name next to it or they put their name next to it then it will keep that receipt and you can go back and find their gifts your ticket certificate for them now it's also important to know we don't actually get gift certificates or gift cards they are not shipped out it is just now a credit that that person has to your shop these gift certificates are tied to your account so they cannot use them on any other rep reps website but they are tied to your website so that's super helpful and you are so many people just write the code on the back of business cards are they print up different gift certificates to send to people with the code and the amount so here you're just going to pay for your card and then complete the process and then I will show you in the next video where you find that gift certificate in your back office for when you're ready to use it or if your customer has lost their code I'll show you where to find that
