hello and welcome everybody to our event titled carbon copy and community pioneers in conversation uh my name is rick casalli and i'm a trustee and co-founder of carbon copy we're delighted to be a part of this cambridge zero climate change festival the tagline for this festival is let's work together for a carbon zero world and we're going to talk about in in our event what this looks like practically and locally where we live how do we get our communities more involved how do we build momentum in a minute i'm going to introduce you to four people from four different parts of the country who are doing all of these things so that we can hear their stories but first a few uh housekeeping details the event's being recorded and it'll be available on the carbon copy website afterwards each of my guests will give a brief overview of their particular initiative and then when the fourth guest is finished we'll we'll move on to a round table discussion there's a chat option at the bottom of your screen and if you want to ask questions of any of my guests please feel free to do so i will try and fit some of those in at the round table at the end so without further ado let me introduce you to my four guests first is uh she is working on food connect a new zero carbon means of delivering food surpluses from retailers to community fridges this initiative is part of a bigger much bigger community fridge network that she coordinates that involves over 100 community fridges across the uk welcome connor neil grant is a resident in north kensington where he is a volunteer director of north kensington community energy and this is the first energy cooperative in the london borough of kensington and chelsea welcome neil rob greenland is co-director of zero waste leads engaging people and organizations across leeds in a range of practical and collaborative projects to reduce waste and he's also working on building a movement locally behind zero waste welcome rob and last but not least victoria wells is one of the founding members of grow bath eastern a local group aiming to strengthen community create food security and encourage biodiversity in the bath suburb of bath eastern welcome victoria so if we if i may start with you connor and could you please just give us a bit of an overview on what food connect is all about and obviously in the context of your much bigger community fridge network sure shall i start sharing my screen yes please always the most nerve-wracking yeah the zoom presentation can we all see that yes thumbs up great okay hello everyone i'm camera and i work for hubbub we are an environmental charity based in london but we work all across the uk and we talk about different environmental issues we started in 2014 with the aim to inspire...
