Carbon copy signature block us currency
My name is Ollis Hull, I've been a $2 bill collector since May of 2008. Well, the $2 bill has the smallest print run of all US currency. So by the very nature of it, it's the scarcest of all US currency. That held a lot of attraction to me. I think it's a beautiful bill myself and the ability to go back and find the rare bill coupled with the excitement and the anticipation, just makes it fun for me. I specialize in $2 small bills starting 1928 to the present and there's a multitude of ways you can collect bills. Bills are graded on a scale from 0 to 70. So you can imagine that makes it much tougher to get an older currency bill that would grade a 70. So there's the excitement of trying to find that elusive perfect bill. But then you have sub grading within that. You can collect series. Blocks - your serial number you look on, you have a letter at the beginning, you have 8 serial numbers, then you have a letter at the end. Well the letters in the front and the back determine the blocks. So you put that all together and you have a lot of different ways that you can collect. So it just depends upon what kind of gets you excited. I am trying to collect sets such as 1928 "A" series, 1928 "B" series. But as a collector you can go out and you can put together a very nice set to privately-own, for not much out of your pocket, if you would like to get into collecting, which I would hope more people do. That's really the fun part to this hobby to go out and to go to the various dealers and spend the time and to go through their inventory. If you spend the time and you have a little bit of knowledge there are true gems that you can find. They're being found almost on a daily basis.
