Hello. My name is Lucy, and I am part of the  Arcade System or, as we are collectively known,   the Arcades, and today I'd like to talk a bit  about working while plural. As far as agenda,   I want to talk about how DID affects our workplace  life, how we overcame some of the limitations and   difficulties about being a system with Agile  principles. I will explain what Agile is,   and I'll try to be brief, but basically I  have been working in this field for the past   10 years and have amassed a lot of knowledge on  how to move forward in very small iterative steps   in a way that's very friendly and very human. So  we'll talk a bit about these Agile principles that   we use, we'll talk a bit about the things that  we think that your system could copy and steal   from our experience in Agile, and finally  I'd like to talk about our experience   with disclosing in the workplace and some best  practices that we found useful in that journey.   Before we go any further, I want to  start with some caveats. First of all,   we are a traumagenic system with amnesia, so  part of our reason for coming out at work and   being open about it was to get the accommodations  required to make that okay. We have a lot of power   in our workplace. Like I said, we've been working  full-time in the IT project management/Agile   coach/scrum master industry for 10 years, so  I have a pretty deep resume and a lot of clout   within my industry, so your mileage may vary  depending on what kind of power you do or do not   have in your workplace. And finally, I'm a white  collar IT worker. I'm a knowledge worker. I work   from home. In fact, I am talking to you from the  computer on which I do my work day-in, day-out,   so your mileage may vary, and you may have to  modify some of the things that I'm mentioning here   if, say, you work in an in-person environment  or in a customer service environment or anything   of that sort. So again, your mileage may vary.  This is just our experience as a white-collar IT   worker who discovered their system very  late in life. So as far as a timeline,   I want to briefly go over sort of our journey to  where we are today, so you can better understand   the context where I'm coming from. In 2009  we discovered our system. It was the height   of the Great Recession in the United States. I  had recently lost my job, started transition,   and was dealing with a lot of stress and a lot  of trauma from blowback from me coming out as   being trans. At that point, another altar came  into my system, my head. At the time I didn't   have these words to use.
