[Music] all right thanks for tuning in today this video has been a long time in coming uh someone had asked me what system i use kind of color coding that i use and so i'm just going to walk you through i have a very very simple system and probably printed primitive compared to how some people mark up their bibles but someone asked me and i'm happy to show you uh might be a little anti-climatic if you've been waiting for this video because i have my systems really simple so um i will particularly i have a particular system in the gospels that i've used and i'll show you that in just a second um but uh one of the things that i've done is i've used you'll see um this color orange throughout and that usually has something to do with just something that stood out to me that i want to find quickly later on um one season i don't remember how long it was over a period of months i worked through the chronology of the old testament particularly focusing in on the kings and really all the way from adam uh to jesus i used some of the work of martin anstey and philip morrow to kind of help me through some of that so you can see there's chronological markings through here and i've also used a system of symbols throughout my bible to kind of help guide me but as far as color coding like i said orange has just been sort of my generic simple i want to find that later kind of marking and you'll see that's probably one of the most common uh colors i have in my bible one of the other things that i've done is i've used green and just so you know primarily without much exception um i have just used colored pencils in this bible the reason being is that there's no bleed through that you have to worry about when that's in place but i've used green any time that the old testament is quoted into the new testament or the new testament quotes into the old testament this is just a regular uh green so blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven whose sin is covered that's referred to in romans and so it's marked in green um sometimes i find that helpful um and um and then one of the other things that i've done i mentioned this in another video but i i found um you know i've had this bible for a long time um since uh 11 1506 that's no longer my phone number so i don't suggest you call that but this bible my system sort of changed so let me take you to the book of galatians and how i've kind of marked this up now you could see these blue marks here the blue i've i've reserved for um alternative translations that's found in...
