Hi I'm Ola and I'm 99% able. Today I wanted to show you my disability because in the previous videos and blog posts I talked only about other people's disabilities but this project – this blog and this YouTube channel are about my life and my experiences as a disabled person so yes, I figured that it's the right time to show you my disability to tell you a bit about it to show you how I look like tell you about my experiences. So my disability is called arthrogryposis multiplex congenita and i was born like that. It's not progressing right now it might progress in the future, but it doesn't change for the worse now I'm only getting more abilities right now. And when I was born I had way less ability. So how I look now, how able I am right now and how independent I am it's all thanks to the surgeries that I had and thanks to exercises that I did. I am fully independent, I live on my own, I moved from my family house in Poland to UK to study and I live with friends so I don't really need anyone's help in my everyday life but this blog and this YouTube channel are called 99% able as there are some things that I still, you know, need help doing that it's really small like, for example, opening a can or opening a bottle so these are the things that you can just ask anyone, even on the street, to help you with that. So yeah I live independently but I wouldn't be able to be in such a good condition if it wasn't for the surgeries and exercises that I did when I was younger. So yeah this is me I don't think you can see my disability clearly when I'm wearing long sleeve. I know people don't often notice that, I had a few friends who only noticed my disability after a few months of knowing each other. I am affected in my arms, hands and also my feet and my legs so I also walk in a different way than others but people don't see that as a disability often but just that I walk weird or that I look weird generally. So yeah this is me my hands look weird, my feet look weird, the way I walk looks weird but this is my disability and this is my life. As you can see my right hand, my right arm, is in a bit worse condition than the left one because I'm left-handed so I do more things with my left hand so I exercise it at the same time when I just do some basic things every day. Yes, so that's what I look like that's what my disability looks like and if you want to learn more about my disability check out my blog, I'll link it below, I'll say a bit more about my experiences when...
