hi everyone welcome to today's session as part of this session we will see how to create a calculated column and how can we populate current system date to newly created calculated column okay so as you are aware most of the cases we may system date as part of the report output may be this particular current system date you just wanted to show as say one of the field of your report output or else you might be using this particular date to derive some other attributes such as year month or even day there are cases where i have also seen this current system date is also used for currency conversion so in any of these cases obviously the current system date won't be coming from the back end data part of this session we will see how can we generate a calculated column and how can we populate current system rate come on guys let us start today's session [Music] as you're aware in the previous session we have created a simple calculation view and when we do the data preview obviously that particular column should be available as part of our data preview or calculation view output if you see as of now we have only four columns sales id quantity unit price and cc total amount let us go back to our modeling perspective over here you see i am going to select my projection node and use new options so that i am going to create a new calculated column okay so as you see over here i got a pop-up window in this pop-up window i am going to enter cc cc current date and either you can make this as a work worker or else you can also make this as a date let me make this as a worker or let us go with the date only and there's a formula or system function given by sap you can use a function called now what now will give is right it will give current system date followed by timestamp also current timestamp you can say but since we have defined this as a date it will give only the date value but instead of that if you choose this as a worker of 20 length let me give 20 length now okay and you can propagate this all the way to the top and you can see current date column is appearing in your report output to the data preview you can see cc current date it is showing entire time stamp which is in the format of date followed by your timestamp clear guys so but i want only the date in that case what you can do date is of what character first 10 character including that iphones or else you can also go with if you see back we created a calculated column of type worker right instead of worker if i define this as data and...
