hi we're going to talk about how to create a rule to divert any email where you're not in the to line so file manage rules and alerts and we're going to create a new rule there we go the selection is correct here move messages from someone to a folder from people or public group we're just going to uncheck this and we're going to select where my name is in the cc box where my name is in the 2 or cc box nope where my name is not in the 2 box yep so anytime you're not in the 2 line where someone has not purposefully put you in the 2 line these emails will go somewhere else so move it to the specified folder we can do that right here right now we have one folder which is our all mail where all of our email goes we're going to create one more folder i'm gonna call this the fyi email folder that's where all the fyi emails are gonna go bcc's and cc's alike all right these are only two boxes we've selected and we're gonna go to the next one before i do that apply this rule after the message arrives where my name is in the cc box and where my name is not in the to box move it to the fyi folder and stop processing more rules and it always likes to do that it'll be the next one stop processing more rules that's okay this is okay to run move it to the specified folder we've already picked that no exceptions in this case unless we decide we want some later where my name is in the cc box so i just call this the fyi rule and we could run it now but there's nothing in the inbox to collect click finish that's it enjoy
