The BEST Decision We Made

Laura Hardin

What do you like best?

We were previously using an all-paper hiring and on-boarding method. We switched all those documents over to Sign Now, and our whole process is so much easier and smoother. We have 7 terminals in 3 states so being all-paper was cumbersome and, frankly, silly. We've removed so much of the burden from our terminal managers so they can do what they do: manage the business.

Easy to use, increases productivity

Erin Jones

What do you like best?

I love that I can complete signatures and documents from the phone app in addition to using my desktop. As a busy administrator, this speeds up productivity . I find the interface very easy and clear, a big win for our office. We have improved engagement with our families , and increased dramatically the amount of crucial signatures needed for our program. I have not heard any complaints that the interface is difficult or confusing, instead have heard feedback that it is easy to use. Most importantly is the ability to sign on mobile phone, this has been a game changer for us.

are you worried about buying a fake or counterfeit trade dollar you don't have to because in this video I'm going to show you some tips and some things to look for so that you can safely buy trade dollars so you don't get ripped off with a counterfeit or a fake hello everyone this is Daniel with coin help you thanks for watching my latest video and first I want you to take a look at this coin and I want you to guess what it is you know put down on the comments if you want at the end of the video I'll reveal a little bit about this coin maybe some of you have seen these maybe you kind of have an idea but I would like to see what everybody else thinks about this coin you know put your comment down there what you thought first and then afterwards you know if you're surprised or whatever but it's kind of an interesting coin and this some trade dollars they're just obvious this one is obvious it was made out of steel did it'll stick to a magnet it doesn't weight correctly it doesn't have the right sounds the details were horrible you know it was struck with a very poor die poor planchet it's been it's got died cracks here rust over here you can see this part and one thing about trade dollars this is an 1872 no trade dollars were struck in 1872 not for business okay there were some patterns now one of the things to think about is you know that these coins in the date and the mint mark if you can't find a date and a mint mark for that coin for that type more than likely it's fake because we know when they struck these coins and when they didn't so that's going to be a dead giveaway if it's in 1872 and also trade dollars are proof only from 1879 to 1885 so if you start seeing non proof examples that are dated 1880 82 83 84 85 and all that then you know that that's probably fake this is the proof 1882 and as you can see this coin is struck very well the details are very sharp and they actually struck these coins more than once oof-dah has actually prepared special they polished the dye the fields they edge this part to make it cameo and you know that's one of the things that you have to think about and you have to look at when you're looking at these and you'll see that the how the font is on the date you see the fine details of the drapery or the robe on the woman and all these details you can see it's it's very difficult to mistake him here is an example of a Warren trade dollar this one's fair - okay that's the great on it and the thing about this is that it's extremely worn so all these details to help you identify a fake are not there any longer so when you see a coin like this sitting in an antique booth or a dealer shop or at a garage sale or even at a flea market what do you do well one thing that I know is that the 90% silver and 10% copper probably patinas in a certain way it has a certain feel to it like I said a look to it it also has a certain weight to it and you know this coin here when you look at it as far as the date font is concerned and I haven't I don't have a picture of the reverse but we're just gonna go buy the obverse here we know this coin is authentic is it's consistent okay with a authentic trade dollar now that's one of the things that is it can be confusing I heart I've not seen a fake trade dollar that looks this one most of them are not that worn even though they will sometimes wear dyes to make them look more worn or they'll damaging I'm here is another obvious fake silver coins org has a lot of information on this on these coins here and this is an 1876 and you know it's one of those coins that you know just looks off you know even the picture makes it look off and here's another one of the same coin the front in the back here the obverse and reverse as can see it would pass most people's idea of an authentic if you weren't watching but this one here is also going to stick to a magnet more unlikely it's not going to weigh correctly it's not gonna have the right sound it's not gonna be the right out of the way it's not to say there's not any ninety percent trade dollars that are fake but you know most of them are not going to be ninety percent silver this is an example of an 1878 this one over on this side is authentic this one on the left side is fake as you as you look at these coins they're similar in grade the collar would be the first thing that should draw your attention it has that blue kind of a slate soapstone collar to it the other things should be down here on this date see how it bulges out over here it doesn't bulge out over here on the authentic one here's another thing about look at that eighth look at the eighth over here when you know what an actual authentic trader looks like it is unmistakable once you start seeing all these little minor details see the lettering here is not even a consistent with the authentic one I mean even that based based on that alone it's fake you don't even have to go any further but you can look at all the details up here in the hair and you know the hole all the digits wrong the drapery is wrong it's almost like ink use it once you start you know seeing all this it starts coming to you and you'll never buy a fake again I bet you if you wait this coin it could weigh the same it may not weigh the same it might not even stick to a magnet and that's what's important about this video you have to know what the coin looks like just it's really your training your eyes to learn what a trade daughter looks like and during this process you're looking at the details because these coins are going to get better and the thing about that is is that they're gonna weigh 90% silver they're gonna have the same alloy content they're gonna learn get better at striking they're gonna use probably even lasers in the future if they're not already starting to do that and the coins are gonna weigh they're not going to stick the magnets then what do you do you know you've got to know your coin if you really want to collect trade dollars this is a perfect way of doing it you will absolutely not buy a fake if you learn all these little trip tips and tricks here's another thing right here is reading marks I want to get that straight for one thing and a lot of people think well what in the world does Mark's honor those they're just marks from the edge of the coin another coin hit that's that's what that is next is the reverse and obviously you can see that the details are not consistent here's the mint mark this is that where the mint mark is located on all trade dollars that's another thing to look for you know you want date correct date mint mark combinations 1873 to 1885 and here's a another one 1877 obviously when you look at the and start with the date most of the time when they they put dates on these they're not putting them on exactly correctly they're not engraving the dice correctly I'm using the same date fonts and as you can see down here this is kind of a little bit flatter this is more rounded and I can get in here maybe a little bit closer to not the best pictures but you can see it's almost consistent almost like the same engraver who was used for this and you can see the difference is when you really look close you can see the difference in these coins you know the eyes the eyes look you know it's not even the same shape so you're not got to worry about buying this coin because you know it's a fake and here's the reverse of the same coin as you see the mint marks here this one here is a no mint mark version but you know as you can tell that it's just sake there's just not any you know area here that looks I mean it's it's close but it's not going to cut it when you know what an actual authentic trade dollar looks like Etsy is also another place where you can buy fakes and you know a thing about the fakes that you see in in this video and the facts that you see online you know they'll be made to look like they have where the dies you know in they'll put they can damage them and I've said this and I can't say it over and over and over you know when you see some suspicious things about a coin hurts are a good price more than likely it's too good to be true you're just not going to buy a mint state or a proof for 50 bucks or 80 bucks you know those things are usually certified and they trade for hundreds if not thousands of dollars each you know here I can see some that then it looks damaged it could be authentic you know to click on it there I'm you know the hit this one here looks fake you know 11 bucks I mean that should tell you something you know here's some more and they're not the only place I mean there's plenty of other sites like here this is an 1874 now this one is on how they express that almost looks like a proof but when you start looking at the little details here on the coin it's obvious that it's not real and it's made a cooper nickel plated silver copy but what happens is is even though they claim that this coin is fake or it's a copy people buy these and they put them in holders and they put rare on them and they put $1,000 or $100 and they sell them well you only have a dollar 91 and a plus shipping you know so you got what 10 12 bucks in a coin and this is what happens and people get fooled here's another one is 1873 you see how worn it is you know example after example I can show you you know this one is actually a 90% and it's a CC and here's the CC on it and it's a shiny cartwheel copy coin it says it's a copy but if you take this out and it's silver it'll do the ring test you know it'll pass it won't stick to a magnet it'll probably weight correctly that's gonna fool a lot of people but look over here you see all this that right there you can tell and there's other details that you can tell on the coin it's not going to be the same as I pointed out earlier okay now one of the things to to consider about a lot of these coins they will use not always but sometimes they will use authentic coin images so that you think they're actually selling an authentic coin they won't put pictures up with their fake coins that's another little trick that some of these online sellers do and you know like I told you before you're basically training your eyes and all it is is you learn the shapes of an 1877 1876 you learn the font you learn the little tiny folds in the gown you'd learn that this area here will have all this this little details on it the end god we trust' will be you know a certain way and when you put a coin up side by side and I say this in every video put the coin in question to up to the screen or take a picture of it and open it up and put them together you can use Photoshop or any editor and put these coins side-by-side and slowly you will train your eyes to see the actual differences you'll see the dye characteristics are not the same you'll see the fonts are not the same for the lettering or the numbers and that's very important and it's not hard to learn it's easy to learn then you have to worry about having a signal you don't have to worry about having you know a magnet you don't have to worry about weighing it you know all those are good things to do but if that fake is 90% silver and it's pretty close to the details then and it comes across the counter there or you're anywhere at a flea market or wherever you're not going to be able to know the difference you're gonna buy it thinking you're getting a good deal or a coin for your collection and it's gonna be fake so now to the coin that I showed you at the beginning and this is actually a fake commercial dollar it is a pattern that was minted by the United States Mint and these coins you know they go for you know last ones sold for thirty one thousand two hundred dollars and it's that like I said it's not really considered a trade dollar but what I showed you and the reason I showed you this one is because I've seen these fake before and people thinking they're trade dollars and they'll actually mix match this and put a reverse of a trade dollar on the other side and they're all fantasy pieces but I've seen them fool people and I've seen people send me pictures I've had pictures sent to me and asked me you know is this rare what kind of coin is this and it ends up being one of these coins but it's actually a fake of this coin this coin here as you can see it says PR 65 buy NGC so it's a proof coin to begin with okay into proof it's what they call it Judd 11:54 you know Jed wrote the book on these varieties who was the expert on it and that's how we ID and catalog them is use that in like a J LL 54 and you know each one of them you know there are some differences here but these they're fakes and that's one of the important things to understand they're gonna use different like though even use this right here this is the seeded dollar don't use one of those verses or reverses and put it on a trade dollar I had someone asked me the other day they had they called me on the phone and they said I have a trade dollar but it has a seeded dollar reverse and you know I knew immediately that that was you know made-up coin you know this one here is actually a pattern as well you know when you see coins like this you know they're more likely gonna be fake because these are extremely rare these are only knowed by a handful of examples up to fifteen twenty examples and most of those are known so anyways thanks for watching my latest video I sure hope this helped you understand some things about trade dollars and the next time you go buy a trade dollar I hope that's obvious to you that it's fake and it's not counterfeit so please like share and comment and have a great day [Music]
