How To Validate eSign Document

GlobalSigns document signing certificates can be used to add digital signatures to Blue Beam documents you can apply standard signatures as well seals or stamps in order to sign a document you'll first want to customize how your digital signature looks navigate to the "Manage Digital IDs dialogue" by selecting document going to signatures and clicking on digital IDs a manage digital IDs dialog box will pop up and you'll see your document signing certificate as well as any other digital id's you may have displayed here it's important to note that all these certificates are automatically imported so there's no manual setup required highlight your document signing certificate and click manage appearances once you do that you're appearances window will pop-up you can click on the green plus button to add an appearance if you have more than one digital ID you should make sure that each one has its own unique appearance to clearly designate the identity of the signer you should enter a title for this appearance in the box at the top that describes exactly what this appearance is this makes it easier to select the correct appearance later then moving onto graphics if you have a scanned image of your handwritten signature, an engineering seal, or if you need both you can add that by choosing the radio button file clicking on the ellipses and finding the image on your computer once you've found your image click open and you should see your image in the preview window below you can continue to add optional text elements including your name, location, reason, contact info, and date. You can also modify the text size and alignment just check and uncheck the elements that you want included once everything looks how you want to look then click the ok button once your document is ready and you've designed your signature simply go to document, signatures, and sign document you can use your cursor to draw a box anywhere in the document and that's where it will appear. Confirm that your digital ID is selected in the first drop-down box then make sure to choose digital signature for your signature type you can fill in any of the options that you'd like check that the appearance window contains your sealer signature and click on "ok" you'll be prompted to save the document so choose your preferred location and click Save your token logon will appear enter in the token passphrase and click OK your seal is now applied to the PDF document you'll see the signature you design earlier in the designated signature area
