let's cover how you enter shift times if you're an hourly employee in smart time and as you know hourly means you're paid for hours worked not a flat rate or a salary you have two ways to enter your times and should go which will go with whatever works best for you we'll start with option one which is entering times under my times start from your time card screen under my times click the goldenrod plus icon in the bottom right corner and this opens the create new time screen on the create new time screen you have this select start card option and this drop down is available if you have more than one roll on a show select if the supply is for you then next you'll select the date you're entering your time for and you'll click the next button this opens your details screen here you can switch between actual time or military time and then next you'll select your day type enter your call meal times and wrap time for meals note that you can pick a meal duration half hour or one hour and you can also select to add more times to add non-deductible breaks a second meal or a non-deductible dinner when you're finished with your entries select save this brings you to your time card summary you can see in the upper right that the card status is waiting for crew this means you have not signed your time card yet but your work so far is saved if you are ready to approve this time card you can go ahead and select approve if not ready to submit for approval from your actions menu you have a list of options that can help you work a little quicker if you select copy this will copy the exact information from this day and then paste would allow you to copy that information into a new day same as yesterday pulls up the previous previous day's information apply to will copy and apply the same time information to a different day or days and view entire week is a great way to verify your times and totals for the week and approve all and a few other things to note here we have a swipe functionality so you can swipe between your days and you'll also want to notice that you can edit a time card until it is in the processed status and if you ever wanted to check where those are from under my times you would select waiting for department head or approve to access editable time cards and you would then select edit okay that wraps up option one option two will be entering times under weekly times from your time card screen select weekly times from your options menu this opens the weekly times entry grid in the upper right corner here something to notice is you have this little three dot icon select this...
