hi guys today I'm going to show you how to scan a magazine or a book or something that is downed that you don't want to separate or pull apart so I've got today I'm going to scan this brochure that I've got here so that's a ID page book if you like and there's an easy way of doing that I'm going to scan this nail so it turns into a PDF file that is simple ight ight pages and to do that we're going to go into the scan fax screen I'm going to select my destination where I wish to scan the document and we're going to go into application or the advanced button here and scroll over a little bit and you'll see under the number of originals here there is an option called book original that's off by default but I'm going to press that option I'm going to turn it on and there's a options here for output method currently the default is separation I'm going to select front and back covers because what I'm saying with that I'm going to scan the front the front cover is the front page the back cover is the back page and the rest is the body of the document so I'm going to select front and back covers I'm going to select okay close that screen and they're going to put the front page facedown on there and I'm going to hit start it's now scanning the first page or the front page if you like on the menu here it now says load the back cover and press Start so I'm going to turn it over I'm going to do the back cover so we do this books we scan in the order of front page then back page so I'm going to select start it's now scanning the back page and now it's telling me to load the original which may in this case I'm going to turn it over I'm going to scan page one and two so inside the front so put that on like that select start it's now scanning both pages but individually so we get them in as individual pages as you would expect gonna turn it over load the next original which is flip it over put it back on the on the glass hit start so every time I hit start it's scanning both pages in the in the right order it's now ready to turn it over again and I'm now going to scan the last two pages which is page six and seven hit start and now I've scanned the entire book so I first scared first page that was or the front page that was page one then I scanned page eight which was the last one and I've now scanned every page in between and I'm going to select finish because I've completed the entire book and start and that's it that's a nice easy way of scanning a book or a magazine or anything like that that you can't pull apart and run through the document theta oops just reminded me to remove the book when I'm finished and that's it
