hi everyone I am Seamus in this video I would like to tell you how to enter different currency symbols in notepad WordPad or any of the MS Office applications using u.s. keyboard so in the u.s. keyboard we have a direct way to get the dollar symbol wherein we can hold down the shift key and press number four but to get other currency symbols we don't have direct keys for that we have to use a key combination so let's see how to get those currency symbols so to get other currency symbols we have to use this key combination Alt key along with some numbers to get Euro this is the key combination and like that these are the other key combinations to get those specific currency symbols so here Alt key you can use either the left Alt key or the right side Alt key but these numbers you must enter from the numpad not from the horizontal row of numbers to enter these numbers we should enable the numpad basically there are two types of keyboard layouts wherein you have a separate numpad on the right side that is one time and in other type you don't have a separate numpad on the right side but how we can get this numpad in a layout where you don't have a separate numpad so if you hold down the function key plus the num lock key combination this numpad gets enabled so the numbered would be key m access 0 JKL keys access 1 2 3 ui-hwa keys access 4 5 6 7 8 9 Keys access 7 8 9 so if you just hold down the function key along with num lock key this will get enabled you can again press this function key along with num lock key to disable the number numpad and to enable the other keyboard layout where you have a separate numpad you can just use this num lock to enable or disable the numpad so that's how you can enable the numpads in both of these layouts so once the number is in a builder to get Euro symbol hold down the Alt key and use this key combination so I'm going to show you in Emma's office application so to get Euro hold down the Alt key press 0 1 2 8 and release the Alt key you will get Euro symbol and to get pound symbol hold down the Alt key and press 0 1 6 3 you will get pound symbol to get Chinese um or the Japanese end symbol so for both of those currencies the symbol is same so the symbol would be hold down the Alt key and press zero one six five and release the Alt key this is Chinese yen or Japanese end symbol and to get Indian rupee symbol hold down the Alt key and press 8 3 double 7 and release the Alt key you will get the rupee...
