eMembership provides the capability to distribute and track electronically signed documents. A member might receive a request to sign a document either in an email or a link in a members only website. Emails requesting document signature can in fact be sent from eMembership events such as the one shown here. Managing campaigns and events in general is the topic of a separate eMembership video. The eMembership event feature allows you to identify a list of recipients and then mail one or more of them by clicking on the email selected invitations button. When clicking on the email button for a signing event eMembership records the date and time of document preparation with viewing and sending along with current status. Once the email is sent, the member will receive a signing invitation that looks somehting like this. Clicking on the link in the email will display the document signing. eMembership will populate all of the data already on file for this member. To sign the document the member first clicks on the eSign button. As part of signing, members can fill in and update any of the information. Updates may be recorded in eMembership once finished. If all of the information is correct, the member can simply sign. To sign a document, the member checks off the appropriate sections and then signs. You can sign with a mouse or a finger or you can ask eMembership to generate a signature for you. Once signed, the document is saved and a final draft of the document is presented. After review, the member submits the signed document. Once submitted, the member is then given the opportunity to print or download the document that they just signed. Additionally, a link in the email is sent to them to view this document at any point in the future. Finally, a copy of this document will be kept in eMembership as well, for future reference by local staff. This is a brief overview of eMembership's electronic signature feature.
