going to spend too much time on this i'm just going to touch on my focus tonight is really free allowing the prophetic to move to get into operation tonight so that you're going to be directed by the policework you're going to give again at least some sort of direction for this new year 2021. i really believe that god wants to speak with some of us perhaps you know i know for most of us you know every new year brings new challenges myself and proven 19 has shaken a lot has shaken up a lot and there are a lot of people you know who are at a place where they're just tired tired physically tired emotionally tired psychologically trained you know and um [Music] god often would send times of refreshing amen on the rise of these people so are we there exodus chapter 15 verses 22-27 let's read together charlie ready agree so moses brought this year from the red sea then they went out into the wilderness and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water now when they came they could not drink the water and the people complained against moses saying what shall we drink so he cried out to the lord and the lord showed him a tree when he casts it into the waters the waters were made sweet there he made a statue of an ordinance for them and there he tested them and said if you diligently heal the voice of the lord your god and do what is right in his sight give him to his commandments and give all his statutes i says the lord will put none of these diseases on you which i have brought on the egyptians foreign [Music] father we just thank we understand that there's a difference in being fair and a difference being knowledge and we thank you holy spirit that you are here tonight to acknowledge us i pray that god will humble ourselves before your mighty throne of grace this is the exact place where the children of israel were finally delivered from bondage the house of bondage others famously known as egypt egypt is now behind them finally they want their way to the land of promise the joy of finally being free from the oppression and slavery of the egyptians made them to compose even a son of deliverance they came up with we are told that after crossing the red sea moses and sister mary imposed on the tambourine and and beat she began she begins to sing a new song to the lord amen and yet what followed after the red sea was a journey through the wilderness so they got happy after crossing the red sea but what they didn't realize that there were there was a lot more trials after the red sea amen they got happy in crossing the red sea but they didn't realize that the lord has taken them on a particular journey and tonight i want to remind ourselves walking with the lord is all about the journey it's not about the destination it's about the journey big men and women in the kingdom let's be honest not sure we find sometimes that the raw politics are stupid it's too wary and too long come on sometimes we lose faith we struggle our faith comes under fire because we feel that the journey is too long but we really ought to be focusing not on the destination but on the journey even walking with the lord hand in hand with the master there are some kills there are some bends there are some there are some high places there are some low places that we all must encounter in this beautiful walk with the master but let's learn to enjoy the journey often times for the children of israel will be confronted with a trial what would what would be the first thing they would do they would begin to complete they will begin and the first thing that would come to mind was that they were better off in egypt at least in egypt we have leaks and cucumbers we have you know things to eat at least we won't stand here in the desert god says in exodus chapter 15 verses 22 to 27 says if you obey my commandments and keep all my status i will put none of the diseases on you which i have brought so the yet the red sea was just another trial that they had to go through they had a lot of terrain that was unfriendly to encounter the ground was hard and the heat unbearable the israelites did not accidentally ended up in the wilderness it was god's purpose amen and his divine intentions he led them in it psalm 78 verse 52 tells us but he brought his people out like a flock he let them like sheep through the wilderness it was all a part of god's design never underestimate the situation that you're going through right now it is all god it is all part of god's plan for your life somebody's saying my pain serves a greater purpose it was part of this plan for them they were in his perfect will but after three days journey through the scorching heat of the wilderness guess what the people were exhausted weak and thirsty if they did not find water they were going to die at least that was that's exactly what they thought you can imagine their joy when they found water in morocco but when they dragged it it tasted bitter the water was not fit for drinking it was not drinkable so what was the first thing the children of israel started doing what would it be to do voices the water was not fit for drinking and after witnessing the great power of god while in each of them even the crossing of the red sea now bear in mind we're talking about a bunch of people who witnessed the miraculous parting of the red sea they saw god actually dismantled pharaoh and his chariots and his horses and exhaust men they saw the miraculous power of god and upon coming to the place because the water was bitter and not drinkable it began to come instead of trusting in him forgot all the great things god had done for them the book of psalms 106 verses he tells us that they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold listen god always has a plan amen telling him god always has a plan we understand even in genesis god didn't scratch himself no he had a plan amen nothing ever takes god by surprise there is nothing that could never take god by surprise are you planning church they may have been in an assembly you may not be showing off the church on a sunday morning but audience night is a special night why because we come with so many resolutions but how many of those resolutions are actually carried out before we know those resolutions those promises that we that we make to ourselves are broken just a couple of days tonight are you in a place where you're believing god for an on that expectation i don't agree with this maybe you're going through a seemingly hopeless situation or perhaps you've been even angry with god and blamed him for your suffering how long david had a particular statement that he made how long oh lord that's in psalms 13 1 2. psalm 6 verse 36 again how long remember even king david found himself in that position how long do i have to wait how long do i have to keep trusting you how long do i keep believing you we are told that even the book of job shows why i'm not attending do you still hold fast for integrity why don't you kiss god and die that's joke chapter two verse nine amen now that god allowed bad things to happen in their life but how many of us do know that bad things will happen to the people bad things can happen to the people let me see the show tonight [Music] it means that god still is against me and the almighty has afflicted me in luke chapter 1 verses 20 to 21 but god hadn't abandoned naomi he doesn't abandon us no if ever we find ourselves in this type of situation we must be the first to go before the lord in prayer often in our brief around their pain like second samuel chapter 12 verses 15 to 23 we're gonna pour on our hearts before the lord amen don't make any excuses just go before god and pour your heart onto god it's gonna be difficult to walk in victory this year if you're if you're worshiping god from a place of bitterness yeah i encourage you this place that the israelites came to the water was bitter now the scales here's the problem the problem wasn't that they couldn't find water they found water and the water was not drinking come on yeah the water was not drinkable now here's the next thing i want to show you the bible said that god said to moses cut down a tree and threw it into the water and the bible says that the water moved from being bitter to being sweet what's the message there perfect now here's the message why didn't god do it himself why take note of this whenever god gets ready to resource whenever god gets ready to restore to revive and replenish he will allow us to be part of that restoration of this process amen i've got something to do but you've got something to do as well and it reminds me of the story of elijah and the young prophet when he was cutting the tree remember the accent fell off and running in the water he liked to ask him he said show me when it fell as long as you can trace it and you know when it started falling apart you can retrieve it yeah even though he was busy he knew exactly where it fell could be tracer tonight you're complaining elijah told me young man says star branch color branch you're gonna be part of the recovery process oh boy that's a word for somebody you are going to be part of the recovery process don't expect god to do everything for you amen and it's going to take not just participation of obedience to find water in a desert land in the desert he says tell my people in this assembly that the horses is getting ready to appear you know what it is this is our fertile spot in a desert place come on up and always this is a full time spot not a few times full tile spot as we get ready tonight we're going to pray psalm 63 let's look at it together we've got to read this together as we close on this verse 1-5 oh god you are my god listen to the words early when i seek you my soul thirsts you my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land when there is no water so i have looked for you in the sanctuary to see your power on your glory because your loving kindness is better than life my lips shall praise you thus i will bless you where i live i will lift up my hands in your name my soul shall be marvel satisfied fabulous and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips you know i believe that some of us are coming to a place where all and i don't care how long you've been saying lord my life has been so dry i've been just going through dry cells after dry spells after dry skin i've been just going through some patched seasons all my life but do you believe god and do you do you believe his word distance isn't it just a short distance from god had already prepared for them a place of rest means a place of rest that was an oasis in their desert it wasn't too far off but it was a place that was already planned orchestrated hand hit by god this place called the bible says 12 wells of water i believe the twelve wells there representing the twelfth rights correct the twelve tribes of israel seventy palm trees the palm trees offer relaxation and refreshment think about england was a place of peace and religion it was a place of refuge from the harsh desert weather illinois was a place of abundance it was a place of rest where the children of israel could count out after a long three-day journey are you wearing tonight do you feel as though god is for satan i want to invite you to your england event your place of rest your play service and the only way you can discover your healing is if you are willing to pass your quran you've got to be willing to pass and i'm here to say to us here this evening god is calling us to push past you may have encountered some times of bitterness yeah but god is saying look beyond that that bitterness look beyond those bitter experiences that you've had and see a place called illinois which is a horses event a fertile place a rich place a place that you will inhabit not just you your children and your children's truth with hands lifted
