there's a whole nother family in your life and they care for you I can be whoever I want to be like every year when you go back you already have a family here home away from home that's how I was described it to people up here I love the fact that everybody was so caring so much about family and respect and it's that close-knit family and that connection that you get to see over each year is what makes me come back who's ready to go to camp I'm always myself here and I'm always at my best here you're learning about each other and how to build confidence and how to set goals for yourself and how to love each other and how to love yourself it is an oasis in the middle of the angellist forest and it's where you could be literally that your true self and that it is a place where you go back every year to grow and grow and become more and more of a better person Canyon Creek was founded on the cornerstones of family and respect throughout your campers entire session they will hear these words and practice what it means to respect each other respect themselves our environment appreciate and celebrate individuality be inclusive of everyone and live like a family well we learned in our very first year when we only had 30 campers a session and still holds true today now we have over 230 is that our commitment and dedication to each individual camper is what sets us apart what we do well is make both our campers and our parents feel like their child is the only kid at Canyon Creek this is my home and everything here just seems so much better like the only thing that matters is what's happening like at camp you don't care about anything else it just makes it that much more and it's the nicest thing ever when I'm at camp I probably feel the safest I've ever been I know that nothing bad can happen here and if I ever need something I always have some my closest friends here to help me out and any counselors whether I know them or not I know they're here to support me we have a very high ratio of staff to campers that allows us to get to know our campers on a very personal level and help them feel safe cared for and supported to try new things step out of their comfort zone take safe risks and exceed even their wildest expectations amazing aspect of what we do here is that every kid I think feels like family up here every kid feels like their meaningful and that's a pretty that's a great goal to accomplish without even knowing that's what we wanted to do so really proud of that everyone around you becomes your best friend and you can't experience that outside of camp because no one's willing to break down their walls that quickly and let you in to really get to know them Danny Creek summer camp is proud to have earned accreditation from the American Camp Association after just our very first year in operation this means that all aspects of the candy creek camp facility and program from our cabins to our food and sight and staff and more exceed close to 300 stringent standards as defined I think we make the campus feel safe by a very intimate counselor connection with each one of the kids as well as ahead staff involvement and they know that if they ever have any kind of issue they feel very comfortable to coming to the counselor as well as ahead staff and we're in there every night we try to make sure that every kid feels as comfortable as possible and we catered each individual's needs there's a wide range of activities here we have general sports like soccer basketball baseball hockey volleyball water polo you can do pool hoops you could do key log roofs course you could do anything you could think of there's nine activities which are like scavenger hunts and just all camp games where everyone gets involved to have fun I like the food a lot because there's always something different our professional chef prepares well-balanced meals that satisfy both our campers tastes and parent expectations for nutritious meals so you get to come to a place where no one knows anything about you and you get to decide who am i what kind of person do I want to be how do I want people to perceive me and what are the things that make me feel really good and what are the things that I want to pursue and Canyon Creek is a place where you can answer all those questions within yourself and you can do it when you're seven years old you can do it when you're eleven you can do it when you're 19 you can do it when you're 25 we can have the greatest facilities and all the greatest activities but we know that our staff is the key to a positive camp experience when your kid comes home having had a great time the very first thing they're going to say is that their counselors were the best you also get counselors that really just change you because they're such an inspiration the counselors definitely make camp what it is as a camper I thought every counselor was the coolest person I've ever met in my entire life everyone is just always going crazy always dancing always happy always full energy and now that I am a part of staff I see why everybody's here because they want to be here everybody's here for the kids and everyone's just so happy here so everyone having full energy is probably like the best thing Canyon Creek is a home for everyone here's my happy place places I can be myself it's special was heaven on earth it's where I learned Who I am Canyon Creek is family the magic that this place has and I grew up in the last three years more than I've ever grown in my entire life I love Canyon Creek because it's like a second home and like it's just really heaven here like there's no worries like no stress you can just like you family no matter how many years you've been coming if it's your first year if it's your eighth year you'll be welcome just as well as anyone
