[Music] hi my name is Alex Carlucci with Dustin Shaw comm gonna talk to you about what's called a verification of employment and we talked about this with our within our team inside but we customers never really understand what this is we don't really talk to mention it too much and I think the public should know so this is a good video for you know so if I ask for your pay stubs and your w-2s do you think that's a good enough to tell what your income is it's not because it doesn't show those irregular behavior of your payment that a verification of employment will show so you could give me a pay stub with 40 hours a week on it and I would see that you were working 40 hours a week and that week or that month and think that your that's your income for that time and I would see that oh you must have got a raise from your w-2 cuz you're making a lot more what the verification appointment is going to do is going to tell me exactly how you got paid and the breakdown over the last two years and then the current year so if you get if you work 20 hours a week average it's going to show up on the verification employments it shows a base and then you get some Commission on top of it it's gonna shows Commission and that's going to confuse people because your pay stub now that you're working at the same place there's no Commission you're working 40 hours a week and it looks like you're making more than you're making before so the verification of employment document is going to show the base the breakdown the Commission and that Commission we have to average over the next two years and their current so if you're currently not making that Commission that Commission average is no longer any good now we're looking at your average hours worked it's 20 hours and now you're working 40 now the under error same way you're not working 40 hours for the last two years you just started full-time and then a new calculation will come in so verification employment will really break out what we can use and what we can't use for income so in that case that I just talked about it's good but if it was vice versa it would be bad so the fact you won from a pony our base to 40 hours a week is good but we have to show for the current year that you're always working 40 you can't have just started working 40 for this month if yours today this was your first month working 40 there probably an average your income they're gonna use 20 hours a week so it's really complicated and we can't see that from a pay stub in w-2s and the verification employments going to have it on there it's also going to have on the likelihood that you're going to continue it's going to talk about if you're paid annually if it's a salary if it's weekly if it's hourly this Commission it's also going talking about overtime overtime we have to average over the last two years you have been receiving overtime for the last two years and your w-2s don't tell us that so overtime has to be average over the last two years that's on their bonuses average for last year's that's on there so a lot of things come up out of there and verification employment is the probably the most important document for us determining how much income you use and I like to tell people I'm not gonna know for sure if it's closed until I get your verification of employment now if you're straight salary and I know it you and you know it that I'm not gonna really need the income verification because we'll go off your salary your current salary but if you got any breakdown of bonuses overtime commissions different hours hours work tweak in your paid hourly it will be a factor so remember that verification appointment is a very very important document give me a call anytime we'll talk about this my name is Alex Carlucci at six three zero nine one five seven five five zero or go to Gustin show com thank you [Music]
