your changes took effect maria creates an opportunity and adds a contract to it so apparently it's to be enabled firstly through these steps otherwise there will be no contracts apparently test contract related to it in the opportunity details that's a bit weird because i never told us like how to create a contracts to begin with so i guess it should be like here somewhere contracts do yeah is another question so i found another page here create a contract from an opportunity apparently sales for cpq requires the following objects and settings when you create a contract from an opportunity uh there needs to be at least one subscription product a primary code that looks up to your opportunity or contract base when you method on your opportunities account so i don't think we have any of this so all of this doesn't really make sense for us but it's oh interesting to see none let us i don't i don't know if there should be like a default contract or something there but anyway we don't have one so let's uh just continue here our sales reps create contracts and relate them to opportunities okay that's what we're actually looking for now that maria sets up contracts to appear in opportunity detail let's see how associate lands creates contracts and relates them to this opportunity from the app launcher lens searches for contracts and selects it from the item list and create a new contract and you enter the details we'll assign it and all that kind of stuff alliance is the new contract indeed we do and it automatically appears on the contracts list on the dickinson's plc account yeah we don't really have that here i'm not really sure why that is if it's not enabled in the page layout or whatever but um okay let's make this active syndrome maybe that's why it's not showing yes that was the issue actually he has contact another contract now we can choose the contract there if you would like relay the contractor and opportunity lance opens an opportunity for the conspiracy as he wants to relate the contract that's what we used to that's what we just did then lance selects a contract from a list that's specific to the dickenson plc account he saves his work and sees a contract related to his opportunity maria's got the assist reps on track to selling products from a price book she created remember how those prices were lower than the standard list values then maria will enable codes so that their reps can provide quotes to their customers after her reps and their customers agree on specific quotes her apps can land sync the quota line item with the opportunities products and finally she set up a contract to appear on the opportunity details handy for letting reps quickly access contracts related to their opportunities hands-on challenge create a code on an opportunity create a code for a product on an opportunity with the following requirements enable codes and apply it to the opportunity layout use the opportunity at
