i'm louise coleman and this is the second in the series of videos on assistant practitioner accreditation this video is going to deal with starting an application within cpd now picking your scope of practice and entering a summary of your education selecting the appropriate route to accreditation and how to add a qualification we'll start by having a look at the cpd now home page if you've been using cpd now then you'll see some of your plans in the plan's tile and you'll see some of your cpd activities in the cpd activity tile if you've never used cpd now before then the first thing you need to do is create your cpd framework and i'll deal with frameworks in another video to start your assistant practitioner application just go down to the right hand side of the screen and click start your application now that'll bring up another page in which you can type in the summary of your application and select your scope of practice in the summary box just enter some details of the education and training that you've had that are relevant to your application and click your scope of practice that could be clinical imaging it could be radiotherapy and right down at the bottom there's ultrasound pick the relative one relevant to you i'm going to insert some text into the summary details box i'm going to cheat here's some i created earlier it just gives a rough idea what i have done in education prior to the becoming an assistant practitioner i'm now going to select my scope of practice which i'm going to pick radiotherapy which is right down the bottom of the screen just select that just one tick box and then click the save button at the bottom i'm taking back to the whole page now and if you notice this little pink box here that gives suggestions of what i might like to do for the next part of the application process so here it's suggesting that i might like to select my application route and i do this just by clicking the icon and here the pink box again offers us some students and suggestions and it's suggesting that i might like to select the application route and either a recognized course or a cpd portfolio in this case i'm going to select an approved qualification and i'll come back and i'll show you the portfolio route afterwards i'll just go down here select add qualification and there's a whole list of qualifications and that i could add huge long list the easiest way to find the one that's relevant to you is just select it from the drop-down list and then click submit and that will reduce the number just to the relevant courses i'm just going to select any course just now and then i scroll down to the very bottom of the page and just off screen you'll see the save button so...
