[Music] hi everybody steve adams from new england sauce here the 660 build continues and now we're ready to basically prepare the carburetor area and install the carb in this stage so one thing we're going to do first before we do anything else is we're going to make sure that some of the common issues are addressed regarding the throttle so there's two things that can happen on these saws the first is this selector switch is too easy and bumps up and if you have that on your saw you'll be running it just the vibration of the saw if these are loose enough can cause the saw to turn off and you won't even know because you didn't hit the kill switch so this is the kill switch it needs to be pretty hard to pull up like you need to be able to hit it and it can't go anywhere until you really like want to turn the saw off if that's too easy then you can take this little spring and just take some pliers and bend it usually up and make sure that it's cut like basically creating a mating surface with this piece of plastic you do not need to go out and buy oem triggers or any of that stuff the other thing that you probably want to do while you're here is just take a little dab of grease and grease the throttle linkage and the rubber boot that's over here so it goes a little bit easier and i'll give you a better feel on the throttle okay so those are the two things um that are kind of issues on the pre-built saws if you're going through this video series and just checking out your own saw sometimes you'll get like a little gas leak from this elbow that goes down here into the fuel tank i've had that happen on a couple of them it hasn't been crazy but i have had to replace the elbow so you do want to watch out for that as well okay so in terms of installing parts you have this little ring here um that just goes on the inside diameter of the intake boot and it stops the boot from collapsing and then you have this little rubber piece right here this goes on your carb right around this area okay and that's just for air and then you can go ahead and align this and slide it on a little bit onto the studs okay so there's uh three things you have to hook up first is this fuel line so we can just put that right on here and then i can work it down a little further and then the second is the actual throttle linkage it goes into the carburetor housing onto the carb linkage here so you just bring it over to the side push the carb down and then it should just hook in...
