and welcome to gonna wash pants web development now we are going to be doing one of our first lessons in dotnet MVC as can be seen here we talked about initial concepts of what MVC stunning slow and you defined there let's just skip it I'll explain the code briefly this back end but first of all so here we have a first action and all pages come up with this index action you can see terms of strange setting called an action result and actually these views can return many different actual results as you call it we call Jason results and many other result spectively andis malicious the Griffis action result right there right now here and there he will create just a simple employee information class which we created here and then we're just going to simply add information for that so of one user partial view different subject use lay layer or master pages you can use master pages or layout pages some people who are new to that concept yeah what is clear master page and then you put you link this page that we're going to create into that master page but that's a different subject so with all that in mind we've got all ready to go we just click Add okay okay a little bit impatient arm so it voila it does everything for us so this is once you get your head round and we see it is quite useful for doing all these things made all this special code here is HTML our health is I'll talk more or less about those in later tutorials this one here we're just going to norris just sort of render a label not a text box nothing else because we can't edit it we just want to see it notice this piece of information here is important as we can see if you extend this page to use this model employee information to fill in information here against this label here and it does that by using the Lambada expression the model number up in the name and that's for the heading and then again we make one for the actual contents so this is our header and this is the actual contents so complete web form me it's my personal opinion it is a difficult complicated than the old web form to work but hey technology moves on and we have to move with it so we're building here as mentioned this is going to go straight to our index page with that's the default of this application so we will see just one employee but I will let it finish it some compilations to movement here again I feel directory will let me know me the controller here if it's called home it'll go to you type in home you don't change types of part of the control around it so this is called welcome controller you type in welcome here that you can change that in the code to point to whatever URL you want but generally that's how the URLs here work in the brief statement so okay so in this tutorial we just looked at the different parts and folders which may say NBC now we've talked about here that each NBC that normally has a control a model and views associated with two matches within that so that's the basic parts of and then we see a we've talked about here about the different ways that information is shown back it's a very flexible language and you can show many different parts within all of this but
