hey Mason here from gadget coach and in this video we're going to show you how to create squares any other for Facebook and Instagram that has the wet a box in fact we have got the text across the top ten the bottom often in a mean white look I've got one and it came up in the feed to family members the friends are commenting on disease and examples are going to create this type of square video using an existing video for free using a free apps in our iPhone or Android phone so stay tuned and we'll show you how to do it [Music] okay so the app we're gonna use is Fillmore I go by wondershare I'm getting at door you get a a Google Play and I am going to search for film or I go and it's coming up there and fight from them for more I go so more ago just one here motley edge I we've already got it open but I'm just going to click through their fear make sure you're getting the right one stroll through give you effective tools some other things but I'm saying are straight and open the app and it in a landscape the app will open like say like a gave us a project once I've created one but for first time with a brand new video now this part will actually take take half a minute fake to load your files your video that's our problem we'll check back in in a moment once that happened okay so that has loaded video from our photo library I didn't take half a minute not a problem I have next is just the experience of the app but that's that the main thing that runs slow so no problem there I'm going to go to old photos and I have a video that is ready to go this was shot that on the phone where editors in my movie that's needing nothing too complex and so it's in sixteen by nine to where we go it's been uploaded to YouTube but we want to create a Facebook version so this last one here so we exported it now I can trim the clip if I only want to do part of it the beauty of film or an NGO is that you do not need to do a time-limited clip like some other apps might limit you to a minute or so but I want to use this for landscapes I'm going to add its editor to the project now the next button pops up in the top right and tap on that importing the video now to create that little box effect for the square video and a one to one ratio fairly easy I'm not going to edit this video in cart or add any other components to it in terms of other scenes because I have the video already going to pretend my mom's format so I'm skipping over in music and transitions I'm going straight to ratio or crop on the right hand side brings up the menu on the left you see by default 16 by 9 is activated so if I just tap on that I can go straight to 1 to 1 tap it again okay actually go to 21 9 16 by 9 I'm going straight to 1 to 1 next option is cut sides to tap on that and immediately rather than putting my 16 by 9 videos filling the full height of the square it will make sure I see the full width and all the content next option I want to do is were so by default blur is giving this a blurred effect across the top of the bottom filling the square with AB words can play of the video for me to add the text I want to go straight to the black so just tap on that nice and easy we have a black part we're going to go to straight away next I just want to add the text so I swipe up a little bit to get to edit tools button and this will give me some other options picture and picture voiceover overlays etc I am just going to tap on subtitle nice and easy this will pop up this option now I just tap on plus and I can add assistance subtitle with some options on the left hand side that I'm skating nice and easy subtitle appears in the middle I could tap to drag to the top says tap to add title when I tap on it to bring up text editing box so this one I am going to title how to [Music] now this one I'm going to run over two lines so he'll just go okay because I want that to show up now ask him if I had too much text I could run it over to my data top but I'm not going to do a really long title with this some of the top of the video some below the video on the second black bar I can increase the size just by pressing drag on the diagonal arrows with bottom corner of the box to get the right size and then just tap on it move it up and down so this press and drag to get to the right part cool I'm happy with that title so now I'm going to tap on the plus to the bottom to do a second title for the bottom part of the page tap and drag and then tap again to edit cool this one I [Music] they say that the reflection and I remember ABS emoji for good assets because I can it has these glasses and thumbs up now what I can actually be served at the reflection again is tap on thumps and I can change the font see if I'm doing more than me more funny video Helvetica might be an option very typical looking similar impact and a traditional if you can get a traditional meme looking like now this is too big it's drum wider than the width of the video so I just tap and drag to get that little diagonal arrow box visible so then I can resize the box so then it will fit in the window so I just have to move that text box to the side even if I can only half of it so then I can at least tap and drag see now I've got the text to the top and bottom is a little bit disproportionate long does that cleave the same see and even that up I'm saying again public debate in there with the emoji go a little bit bigger check the top menu type I it's okay again it's a little bit big so I'm just going to move it over get my little box with the arrows to resize move it Center it it a little bit higher can't always get it to the top of screen but Adam still iOS public beta and a little bit bigger cellar okay now this is a title that will count either astray for a few seconds at the start of the video so what I need to do with each title I want to start with the first one having thought I tap on that and then I've got the little timing dots along the timeline at the bottom currently there any of the 30 seconds I need to tap and drag on that so I can space the out from this beginning to the end so there's a show for a full length of the video so that success one lets you highlight it on top this is one my changing so it's good okay so she didn't need to get careless tap on the second one straight away again tap on that red dot to drag tap and dragons are all the way to the end of the video for that title cool times ten what and notice the title actually just missed off for a second okay straight back the Edit tools tap on that subtitle actually first title just make sure that we've got is right at the start of the video press close especially gay birth it okay so just like that I have a square video to Facebook Instagram with the letterbox eject or the main typed text I can change the font that are black bars at the top and bottom I have put text and emoji over the top mustn't easy for free evenings for more ago now it is the free app one thing we did do is an in-app purchase for removing a watermark which could cost three dollars if you don't do a few videos them it's well worth it so that's maybe the one capture caveat but three dollars we think it's pretty good value for that and we haven't hesitated any of the other extra overlays elements other features so that is perfect I'm going to go okay I've got my click there now we need to do is hit save at the top and that will export the video and this might take a couple of minutes depending on the web size your video cool now that has exported here you can see my sharing options directly to expand YouTube Vimeo Facebook our can just go safe to camera roll which I would do that if save it to my phone purse and quickly save success and then I can choose what I do with that from there so
