welcome back to the channel everybody today we're gonna be talking about free virtual credit cards now many of you probably don't even know what a virtual credit card is so I'm gonna be sure to let you guys know what a virtual credit card is how you can get one and who should actually be getting a virtual credit card and how they could benefit you and just as a quick reminder if you are new here or if you've seen some of my videos in the past and aren't subscribed go down there hit the subscribe button with the little alert bell and you won't miss any of my future content I push out at least two videos a week okay so a virtual credit card is basically a card that you can use for transactions online that doesn't match your actual debit or credit card so they're more secure and safe when you're making online transactions think of it as one of those prepaid Visa gift cards that you guys love to get during the holidays none of that card information whether it be the actual credit card number or the three-digit code on the back none of it has any personal details to you so if that were to get compromised and say a leak or a hack your personal information and bank account information would not be at risk so I'm going to show you how to actually get a free virtual credit card in just a moment but here are the two main reasons that people use virtual credit cards the first is for security so kind of what I just mentioned people use virtual credit cards when they're making a transaction that they think might be a little risky maybe it's a website they've never been to before and they don't really trust they'll use a virtual credit card to make that transaction in the case that that credit card number is stolen or leaked none of their actual bank account or real credit card information will be taken the second is to actually manage subscriptions now I know a lot of you out there have a bunch of subscriptions whether it be Netflix Hulu Spotify Amazon you name it you probably have it and I'm sure at some point in your life you've either forgotten to cancel a subscription or you didn't want the service anymore but you forgot to cancel and they just keep charging your bank account month after month without you even realizing it virtual credit cards can actually be used as a great subscription management platform so I'm actually gonna dive in to a website called privacy comm it's probably the most popular virtual credit card site and I'm going to show you how it actually works to keep your payments more secure online as well as managing subscriptions before we do that I want you guys to take a quick moment go down below and let me know if you guys have either forgot to cancel a subscription before or if you've gotten a free trial and then you've forgot to cancel it and they've ended up charging you the price for that subscription and don't forget to go down and give this video a like while you're at it okay so if you guys go to privacy comm it's very easy to sign up all you need is a username and password and email and password and basically once you create your account they'll send you a verification email to your email to verify that it's actually you and then you'll have an account on privacy comm for no money and basically all you'll have to do to get started is either set up your bank account information so your checking account or a debit account that you want as your funding source for your virtual credit cards so you can see here I've actually done that I've set up my bank account I verified my email and you can see that I can create my first virtual credit card and real quick if you guys actually end up wanting to use privacy calm after watching this video I'm gonna link a code down below in the description for you to get a free $5 towards your privacy calm account so I actually went and clicked create the card and you can see that a popular cards page pops up and then you can put in a nickname for your car so I'm going to be using the example Netflix here so I'm gonna type in Netflix and you can see that Netflix actually pops up that'll be a good visual graphic on your virtual credit card actually showing you that that card is for your Netflix transactions so I clicked on Netflix and clicks next and then you can see it brings me to a page called spend limit so you can actually put a spend limit on each of your virtual cards based off what it is you're so in this case I'm gonna click per month because my Netflix subscription I think is $8.99 or $9 so I'm gonna put a spend limit on this free virtual credit card at $10 per month so privacy calm actually knows if saying Netflix ended up charging me more than $10 a month for some transaction it would actually decline the transaction because I have a spend limit on here so you can see this is one of the main reasons why a free virtual credit card is great for managing subscriptions you will never have to pay any random fees or transactions that the company might be putting on you so once I add that spend limit you can see it has my Netflix cart right there at a spending limit of $10 per month so you can see once we click Next it gives me a credit card called Netflix it gives me a credit card number and expiration date and the three-digit code that you have to put in for transactions online now I obviously have not made any transactions on this right now because I just set it up but another great feature of privacy calm and a virtual credit cards is that you can actually pause these cards so kind of like what you can do with a Discover credit card and I'm sure some other credit card services have this you can actually go into your account and pause the card so it will decline all transactions being made to this card so say to win you didn't want to pay for Netflix for a couple months you could literally just come in here pause the card and Netflix will not be able to charge this card successfully with their transactions now that I've gone over how you can use a free virtual credit card for subscriptions I'm going to show you how you can use this for the situation of maybe you're buying a product on a website you have never been to before or you don't fully trust that website but you still want to make the purchase you can actually use a free virtual credit card to make a one-time transaction this keeps your transaction very secure and this keeps your own banking information and credit card information safe while you're using a virtual credit card to actually pay for the transaction so you can see I've went in here created another virtual credit card and I'm giving it a spend limit of fifty dollars but it's going to be for a single time use so say I'm going to a website that I've never been to before I want to buy a product for say forty five dollars plus tax I can go in here make myself a virtual credit card for $50 and use it for single use and then click Add limit and this will actually create me a card that I can use for that transaction but if it is compromised in any way all of my personal information is safe so you can see once I've actually named that card I've been too sketchy website because in this case we're going to a website we don't fully trust and I have a spending limit of $50 single use and this card will only be used once and after that one transaction this card the credit card number expiration date and three-digit code will never be able to be used again by any merchant and once you have a bunch of virtual credit card set up with privacy calm you can actually manage them pretty well it has your daily spend monthly spend and then there's some other rewards you can get with privacy calm I've actually seen people use this for all of their subscriptions online some people have like 20 plus subscriptions that they keep up with monthly and this is how a lot of people actually manage those subscriptions alright so now that I've showed you how you can actually get a free virtual credit card I'm gonna give you my opinion and tell you who should actually be getting these type of virtual credit cards personally I think if you're someone that has a lot of subscriptions and you have trouble keeping track of them and maybe you wanted to cancel some of your subscriptions but you've forgotten and you've gotten charged for random charges that you don't even know you had I think privacy calm and virtual credit cards are the way to go now in the case where you're gone to a website that you don't trust and that you want to make a transaction virtual credit cards are a good thing to have for those cases but to go farther than that I personally don't make transactions online if they're not from a reputable source they're not from a company I already know so I would just stay away from those risky transactions in general if you guys enjoyed the content in this video and you thought it was useful go down there this video a like and comment it really helps the video out and it helps the video get pushed to more people in YouTube's algorithm if you guys have any other topics that you want me to cover in the future go put them down below in the comments I read every single one and I definitely take them into account I want to make sure that I'm making content that you guys enjoy so definitely go do that and I'm on my way my goal is 500 subscribers by the end of June so I'm hoping to hit that goal and almost close to 300 so go help me out and give this video a like and subscribe if you haven't already I'm gonna put two videos up on the screen that I think you'll enjoy have a great one [Music]
