everybody's christen prepared mine and originally this video is supposed to be sometime next week but I kind of got caught off-guard when the release got bumped up so we're here to talk today about the jx6 companion it's now available in a new steel there's been a minor design change to it so it's getting released today so here we are I was supposed to do something else today but sometimes you just got to gotta roll with it so if you want to find out what's different about this newest version and maybe do a little bit of a recap about the design of this knife since I've talked about it and sometime then don't go away [Music] [Music] okay so the jack six companion from bark rivers probably my most popular among the people in the Bark River group and I would say this is in might this is one of my three best original designs with the other two being the Jessamine in the jx5 but this one in particular has been extremely well reviewed on YouTube just about by everybody that's bought or used one because I made it to do just about everything and do it well now the one that I have here is the original design and it's the CPM 154 now because this got bumped up a little bit my package with the new one is not here yet supposed to be here either tonight or tomorrow which is too late but I'm gonna drop in pictures of the differences in the design but first and foremost the new steel that this is available in is El Max and if you don't fully understand el Max and its benefits Lmax is like the best stainless super steel so nothing at all where I mean we're gonna obviously as time goes on still have CPM 154 because that's what I like but some people did want to have something a little bit different and with doing a lot of Lmax bark rivers it was just the perfect opportunity and the perfect knife given its application to do in Lmax so what is it about el max now as I quickly explained Lmax to you I'm going to drop a picture here on the screen of what the big design change is between the one that I have sitting here and the Lmax ones and every other one going forward is going to be and the difference is the placement of the lanyard hole now this has been the way that it's been since the beginning but there have been some people that don't like the cut out the way that it is some people feel a a little bit of discomfort from those edges me doesn't bother me at all but you know we aim to please and perfect so the new ones have a fully enclosed lanyard hole that is further up in the handle just a hair so that's the...
