hello everyone and welcome back it's Josh I'm just going to put out a quick feed of the day for the most part very unedited so just bear with me hope you're all having a very Merry Christmas hopefully you're able to spend a little bit of time with family today and sort of just forget about some of the negative things that have taken place this year and just you know have positive thoughts for today and have positive thoughts going into the new year so in today's video we're just going to talk about the 1.7 trillion dollar bill that was passed a couple of days ago through Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden this is a federal funding package however there is a lot more in it and I wanted to discuss it today and just kind of talk about some of the things that we are paying for Because by the federal government you know signing these things into the law this is actually us that is footing the bill so it's going to be through taxes another way in other ways they were going to have to fund this so right now we are 31 trillion dollars in the debt but we are signing into more debt here with this 1.7 trillion dollar bill so according to CNBC U.S House passes 1.7 trillion dollar bill funding federal government through September sending it to Biden and Biden already signed into law so we did go ahead and divert that government shutdown alrighty so the U.S House of Representatives on Friday passed 225 to 201 a 1.7 trillion dollar bill to fund the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year just in time to beat the midnight deadline to avoid a partial shutdown of federal agencies so they always get this done they always put it off to the last minute but they ended up getting it done now the Republicans Republicans in the House of Representatives wanted to have just a short-term funding bill because they are going to be taking or over the majority on January 3rd so they wanted to be the one that kind of controlled the spending however the Republicans in the Senate said no I guess we don't trust you to get this done so we're going to work with Democrats to make sure something is passed before you come in on January 3rd and you become the new majority so Republicans in the house are a little bit upset about this and because the Senate Republicans work with these Senate Democrats to get this passed the House Republicans are now saying we're not going to work with you so it's going to be an interesting two years ahead with Republicans in the house kind of flashing with the Republicans in the Senate we'll have to wait and see how things go there overall the legislation provides 772.5 billion dollars for non-defense discretionary programs and 858...
