welcome to Metro North adult education where we inspire and challenge learners to reach their full potential when you're setting up your email account it's a good idea to add a signature block a signature block is the text underneath your signature it gives extra information like your title your preferred pronouns and contact information it's easy to add a signature block that will automatically appear on every email you send go ahead and log into your Outlook account through the anoka-ramsey website just click on current students in the navigation bar and select email now use your star ID and password to log in this is your email interface an interface is a system that allows you to interact with your computer your email interface is divided into panes the navigation pane is on the left side of your window it lets you switch between the different areas in Outlook like calendars contacts tasks notes and mail when you're working within a view the navigation pane displays the folders within that view in the mail view you can see the navigation pane the folders pane and the reading pane the navigation bar at the top of the screen has some different links like chat help and notifications the settings pane can be accessed by clicking on the icon that looks like a cog it's right here on the upper right side of the navigation bar go ahead and click on it now this is the settings pane scroll down to the bottom of the settings pane and select view all outlook settings by clicking on the link a pop-up menu will appear here you can customize many of your Outlook settings for now select the compose and reply tab by clicking on it this is where you can create an email signature in the right pane you'll find a text box where you can type your first and last name this will be the first line of your signature block make sure to capitalize the first letter of your first name and last name now if you want you can add a line with your course of study and your school you can also add a line with your preferred pronouns to help your instructors and classmates understand your preferences you can include other information like links to your LinkedIn profile a favorite quote or even a picture notice the toolbar at the top of the text box it contains many of the standard tools other text editing software contains like bold italic and underline tools you can also change the font style the size and color of your text if you want to add a picture or avatar to your signature block click on the picture icon in the toolbar Windows File Explorer will open use the file explorer to find and select the picture you want to use click on the Open button to insert the picture remember to use a small image so it doesn't make...
