What active users are saying — digi sign campground reservation record
Esign campground reservation record
you know sometimes it's hard to make your reservations with those national parks especially the ones that are in high demand so today I'm going to walk you through the process of how to make a reservation with recreation gov ok so today I am going to show you how to make a reservation with recreation gov so let's go ahead and get to their website and I'll walk you through the process so recreation gov and you'll come right over here to sign up or log in if you haven't been in here before of course you'll come in here to sign up and you'll want to create an account now it's really important that you have your account created before you try to make a reservation because if you're trying to make a reservation and this isn't all set up it could delay you and getting the site that you want when you go to book a reservation so give this all set up in advance and then just go ahead and log in now if you're booking with recreation gov these are going to be your national parks or national forests or anything that's on federal land so this is where you would go let's go ahead there's a couple ways to do it if you know where you'd like to go you can just type it in right here and click search and that will take you directly to the campsite now if you're not sure you're not a big camper you're not sure what's out there it's really nice because you can come over here and click search camping so we'll go ahead and do that now one thing when you sign up for your account recreation.gov sends a pop-up that says will you allow us to know your location by clicking yes that will go ahead and tell them where you're at and we'll pull up sites that are close to you or around your location so here all the sites around where I live it shows huh one two three hundred so there are a lot now coming over here you can also see it in map view so you know if you kind of know about where you want a head you could just come over here and just go ahead and click one of those it will say this is Mill Hollow and Mill Hollow will pull up right over here on the left this right here will show you all the details about the individual campground it looks like there's 28 campsites and then you can go in here and view the details of that campsite so super super helpful now let's say you know where you want to go let's go ahead and let's just type in let's see let's say we want to go to Mirror Lake that's up in the U n toes we always go there every summer it is fabulous super super beautiful it's got the big pine trees and a beautiful lake let's go ahead and look in here that's showing there 79 sites that you could camp at let's go ahead and click details and we'll get in there so here we are and this is showing the site you can see how beautiful it is it kind of gives you an overview of the lake you know looks like it's ten thousand four hundred feet what the campground allows if you go into here need to know this will give you more specific details so showing there's no electric water or sewer hookups which is good to know if you have an extra vehicle you will probably be charged a fee no motor boats allowed on this Lake this is good to know you'd hate to get up there with a big boat and not be able to take it out on the lake that's one of the things I like about this lake though is that it's just nice and quiet and quaint and there's a lot of paddle boards and kayaks and canoes and it's just a fun lake so let's go ahead and let's search the Cheka Villa availability now one thing with recreation.gov is that you can book out six months in advance now if you are trying to get a high-demand site you will want to be booking the day those reservations open up now there is an exception in its Yosemite National Park and because the demand for that is so high they do open up the reservations sooner so let's go ahead and let's get in today if you look down here in the corner it is January 26 which is showing I can book now July the 26th that would be the first day it would be open to book reservations so let's go maybe July 24th a couple days and see where we are at now this is really good if you want to take a look this is showing let's take this one site 17 when I click on it it is going to come over here and show me exactly where it is and location to the campground so you can kind of get a feel for where it's at in relation to everything you know if it's by a restroom or if it's close to the lake so this is a good way to do it now if you see sites with double use these are the walk-in sites walk-up sites so these cannot be reserved which you know can be a little bit frustrating but it's also a very good thing because let's say it's a high-demand weekend maybe the fourth of July or Memorial Day and all of these sites are booked well if you got up there early in the morning you could possibly get one of these sites because you cannot reserve them so there are some options that's just a first-come first-served basis which is nice now if we come down here we can see that let's see the 25th 26th and 27th and 28th are booked at site 18 so R is for reserved the 24th of July is actually available so you could go in for one night now where I was telling you you can book up to six months in advance you may be wondering how did they book the 27th and 28th then because that's beyond the six months well with it being the 26 you can once you booked the 26 you can book anywhere from there on inconsistence consecutive amounts so that's why they've got the 27th already in the 28th so if you are hoping to get site 18 and you wanted to try to book it for the 27th so you know you can't get on until tomorrow which is the 27th of January it's already going to be gone that's because they've gone ahead and they booked earlier and they've already taken those sites but if that kind of gives you a little bit of an idea as you scroll down you can see that site 20 is available today's the 26 so if you wanted it for tomorrow morning like a Saturday and Sunday 27th and 28th of July you could get on the computer tomorrow morning 8:00 a.m. Mountain 10:00 a.m. Eastern and you could book this site you could book it for Saturday Sunday Monday anything from then on out as long as it was Co second consecutive so let's go ahead and take a look at a site here is let's see site 48 it looks like that's reserved so that would be open tomorrow if we wanted to go ahead and book it and that is showing right over here where site 48 is and so I hope that helps you in the process let's go ahead and find one that's open here's one that's available let's go ahead and click on it so we'll book now and that will take us to the booking window now one thing with recreation.gov is you do have 15 minutes if you look up here you have 15 minutes to go ahead and finish booking your reservations so here we are at the cart and from here it's kind of self-explanatory it's 31 dollars a night they do have an $8 reservation fee now that is 8 dollars not per night but per reservation so if I were to book this for 3 nights it would still be just the $8 fee from here you would proceed to payment and you would just put in your payment information one thing that recreation.gov does do is they will send you an email with your confirmation and everything about your site so I hope this helps in helping you make a reservation with recreation.gov so thanks for watching the video today on how to make a reservation with recreation gov I hope I gave you some tips and maybe some tricks on how you can make your reservation let us know down in the comments below if this was helpful or if there's something else or other questions that we can help you answer would love for you to subscribe to our channel so click the bell below and that will notify you when we put out new videos so come along with us on our adventure let's go now you
