Digisign bachelorette itinerary
hey YouTube welcome back to my channel today's video is gonna be a fun one my sister recently got engaged in her wedding is right around the corner so I have been planning her bachelorette party for the past couple of months for those of you who know I'm a teacher which means my budget is a little limited but I wanted to throw the best bachelorette party I could for my sister even if it had to be on a budget so I'm gonna share with you guys today how you too can throw a bachelorette party on a budget you don't have to have a lot of money to have fun we'll be in a beautiful location I'll be adding clips of the actual bachelorette party into this video so you guys can see that decor the location where we're staying and give a little bit of an idea of how you could throw an awesome bachelorette party on a budget too so before we get started go ahead and give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you're new and let's get into the video also quick side note if you're wondering why I have 7 pounds of makeup on it's because I was doing a little trial run of the wedding makeup that I'll be wearing for my sister's wedding and let's just say I'm glad a digital trial run because I will not be wearing these colors especially with the color bridesmaid dress that I'm gonna be wearing so my tip number one to throw an awesome bachelorette party on a budget is to pick a budget-friendly location so this one I am like totally going back on the word that I'm giving you guys because my bachelorette party is gonna be in San Diego well not mine my sister's you know what I'm trying to say San Diego for those of you guys who have never been there before is absolutely beautiful but it is also really expensive so I am stoked to go there and it's one of my sister's suggested locations when I asked her where she'd want to go for her bachelorette party but it's definitely not the most budget-friendly place that we could go so my first tip is to pick a budget-friendly location if possible and if not there are other ways to make your bachelorette party budget-friendly so don't worry mine is still totally affordable even though it's in one of the most expensive places in the United States so that brings me to my tip number 2 which is to write in air ambi instead of staying in a hotel or other accommodations for the night unless you can stay in a free place then by all means stay at a friend's house maybe if they're gone for the weekend and you can use their house that would be awesome but if that does not work out then I would highly recommend staying in an Airbnb the Airbnb that we're gonna stay in is huge it's got rooms for everybody it has a beautiful kitchen that we're gonna do a nice brunch spread in for the morning instead of having to go out and spend more money going out to eat for brunch it has a hot tub I am so excited to be staying in this Airbnb and we'll have so much more space in a cramped hotel room and it's gonna save us money instead of each girl having to split a room or cram a ton of girls into one hotel room and have to share beds we're gonna be able to have tons of space our own bathrooms and our own bedrooms and a nice beautiful Airbnb tip number three is do not by any means think that if you are the maid of honor you need to pay for all of this by yourself I'm the maid of honor and if I was paying for flights where we're staying the events were doing food all of it on my own I would be dropping like two grand on this weekend and that's not happening so the bridesmaids that my sister picked to be in her wedding along with me are so awesome and they all are totally willing and wanting to help me pay for everything so they split the cost of that European be with me they gave me a little bit of money to help towards food and then they also are gonna help pay for our main event which that brings me to my tip number four use Groupon to pay for activities if possible so we're gonna be doing an escape room and the escape room was on Groupon and I know that Groupon also really commonly has restaurants that you can eat out at and it also has nails so if you're going to a nail salon which we are doing then you can check Groupon as well to get a discount on nails and really check anything on Groupon and you never know it may be on there even accommodations if you are set on staying at like a resort or a hotel there's a lot of resorts and hotels listed on Groupon as well so I would definitely check out Groupon you never know if you could save money and it does not hurt it's completely free tip number five is to buy budget decourt for the bachelorette party so I hit up Walmart in the Dollar Tree for my bachelor decor and I have to say I think it's gonna be really cute so I wanted to show you guys really quick what I got at the Dollar Tree that I did not mention in the rest of my videos so they have awesome gift bags that are perfect for wedding gifts and save you so much money because they are only one dollar each and they have a really cute variety of bags that look super high-quality and they feel high-quality as well I also picked up a wedding card at the Dollar Tree and mine just happened to be the hallmark brand so there are high quality but only a dollar each I will also insert clips of what the Bachelorette decor looks like at the Airbnb but from what I have going on I think it'll be good so we'll see once I have it all set up but let me just show you a few things that I got and they were really budget-friendly I can link some of the stuff below as well the things that I can find out I'll see used Amazon but yeah if I'm able to find any of the things that I bought personally then I will link it so you can find them as well so this love's balloon it's also super helpful by the way that my sister's wedding is literally two days after Valentine's Day because there have been tons of like harped and love and Valentine's Day themed things out for sale so Walmart was selling this cute love balloon for a dollar ninety eight and it is like two and a half feet big so it'll be like a cute size to put as kind of a backdrop on the wall somewhere and super super cheap and then I also off of Amazon it's really hard to tell kind of what this is but it's one of those like foil hanging tassels wall backgrounds and I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be about 10 feet maybe 12 feet I think each one is 6 feet and I got two so um 12 feet total of a backdrop but I thought would be really fun for us girls to take pictures in front of because you definitely want to document the bachelorette party and all the girls that were there and then I got these cute little straws from the Dollar Tree to put in our drinks which I thought would be really cute and just a fun little touch to add and then also from the Dollar Tree I got two packs of balloons so white and pink the theme is kind of gonna be white pink and gold so those are fun and we're really affordable and there are 15 balloons in each bag so I'll have 30 total and then I got this fun little confetti to kind of just throw out all over like the tables and maybe put little paths throughout the rooms I have no idea I mean I'm not trying to make it like weird oh I'm Betty not like rose petals or anything but yeah I figured I just throw this around to you know add some cute color to the place and then also I got these little bags of ring pops I thought this could be fun to just you know throw on the tables for the girls to rob and if they want or I'll even thinking using them as a prize for the game so one of those two but getting ring pops at the Dollar Tree these are always at the Dollar Tree and as a teacher I put them in my little prize box for my students so I knew that they had them and they're perfect for a bachelor party so I also have this really cute banner which I really don't think that I'll be able to show you guys the whole thing yeah that's not gonna happen but it says bride-to-be and it's really cute it looks like this and then it has like oh it's going the wrong way well this is a nightmare but it has like the little ring on it and it just sends bride-to-be so this will be a cute little banner to hang up on the wall as well you have to put that back together and then of course every bride needs a sash to wear out so I have this cute little bride-to-be sash and I'm gonna tell you a secret about this this and a couple of the next things that I'm gonna show you guys they are reused and I know that probably sounds so tacky but when I got married this was the sash that I wore out and then this hung on the wall in my bachelorette party and then I also got to wear my tiara out yeah I feel like a princess and this cute little bride pin I saved from my bachelorette party then all the bridesmaids wore these fun necklaces for like the pictures that you could take in front of the little foil wall hangers while hanging like that um but anyways I I mean you may disagree with me but what is the point in using decorations for one night like if you have had your bachelor party already and you save some of the decor why not use it again or if you go to one in the future and the maid of honor of whoever is throwing the parties like oh like keep whatever you want why not keep it for another party so with all the busyness I totally forgot to take videos of the bachelorette party but I did remember to get some photos so this is the front entry room where I laid out some ring pops for the girls to have and some balloons that we filled with helium at the grocery store here we have that gold foil hanging backdrop and you can't tell how long it is but it goes all the way to the floor with the love balloon over the top and here is the kitchen where I hung the bride-to-be banner and then in those white cups we have those pink cute little straws with a sharpie so each girl can write their name on their cup and use that for the night and then we also made these cute little gift bags for the girls and put the confetti on the table and then this is all the snacks and we did a brunch spread in the morning as well and then this is a picture from the escape room and any bachelor watching fans can you recognize where we are here and then this is the morning the next morning where we got our nails done so going along with what I got from the Dollar Tree I have another kind of half of a tip that I'm gonna fit into this one and that is fine free games to play for the bachelorette party so I saw an Etsy all kinds of really cute bingo cards for like Bachelorette bingo and like a fun jeopardy bachelorette party game and just some other fun game ideas but if you were to buy them off of it I think they'd be like ten or fifteen dollars and then you have to buy multiple bingo cards for each girl and it just really adds up so while I love those ideas and they're really fun if you're trying to go budget I suggest looking for free games and trust me I have three game ideas for the bachelorette party that we'll play at night and all of them were free so one is actually not a bachelorette party game but I love the idea of it and all of us bridesmaids don't know each other and so I think this will be a really good icebreaker for us but it's called the bowl game and it'll kind of help us to get to know each other and just laugh and have fun so it'll be our first game that we played together just so we can kind of you know get comfortable with each other um so everybody is going to take two strips of paper and write an unknown unique but true fact on their slip of paper and then put it into the bowl and then the person to the right of them picks a strip out of the bowl and reads it and has to guess who they think it is and then if they guess correctly they get a point and if they don't guess correctly then the person who wasn't guessed gets five points and you add up all the points at the end and it's just a really fun game to play to kind of like learn interesting facts about each other and then of course you can you know the person whose fact it was they can kind of explain the story more in depth and have really fun with it but this was off the blog fun cheap or free I absolutely loved that blog and I watched their YouTube channel all the time as well but anyway so I just printed this right off the blog and it was free and then for the game from the Dollar Tree I just got a pack of sticky notes for the guests to write down their little fun facts on and they can fold them up and put them in the bowl and then I also bought a pack of pens just so that I'm not scrambling all over the place to find pens or turn le pop a bunch of random pens into my suitcase and never get them back so I figured that would just be easy to do it that way and yes that's my little half tip snuck into my tip of buy cheap decor is to also do free game options because there are tons of free games that you can find on Pinterest and on blogs and probably even on YouTube game ideas that you can do for free think we're on tip number five my bad if I screwed up the numbers but tip number five is to buy gifts on sales so typically for a bachelorette party you bring a gift for the bride and then you also bring a gift for the bridal shower and then you also bring a gift for the wedding some people may do things differently from the weddings that I've been in in my own wedding that's kind of the way that it was so that's a lot of gifts on top of paying for your dress your shoes your makeup your hair the bachelorette party your flights if it's a wedding that is far away so it really adds up so I do not feel bad at all when I say to buy gifts on sale or even this sounds even worse but it's okay re-gift if you got a great wedding gift from your wedding and it really is a high-quality awesome gift but maybe you got two of them or maybe you don't have a need for it it's okay to give it to the next bride and it's okay to buy things on sale and save money on your gifts pretty much everything that I got for my sister is awesome high-quality I know she's gonna love it but I got really great deals on it another tip when saving money on gifts is to use Ebates when shopping online so I really do use Ebates all the time I'm not just saying this and whenever I'm shopping online I have the Ebates button activated so that once I go on to a website say I'm on Macy's it'll pop up and say 11 percent cashback on any purchase and it will just automatically activate and then once I shop and put things in my cart and checkout the 11 percent cashback will come back through Ebates so it's a really awesome way to save money and kind of earn money in a way even though you're really just saving money on what you're buying but I really do recommend it I really do use it I'm not just throwing it out there to you guys to try to like make a buck off of you if you do to send up through my link I do get a referral compensation it ranges it's not always the same but tend to like $25 once you purchase something so if you sign up I don't get anything it's just once you make your first purchase and I think it has to be like a certain amount so I'm really not trying to make money off of you I just really do use Ebates and it saved me a lot of money you know this year and last year I got a huge amount of cash back which is so awesome why wouldn't you want cash back so I'll put my link down below not turn make money off of you but if you want to check it out why not tip number six is to make meals at your Airbnb and buy your groceries at a discount grocery store so we are going to do dinner out the first night of the Bachelorette and then we will have snacks and drinks and all the fun things at the Airbnb that night as we play games and then the next morning we will do a brunch spread at the Airbnb before we go to get our nails done so by making food at the Airbnb with a beautiful huge kitchen that is provided for us that's gonna save each girl a lot of money instead of having to spend 15 20 30 dollars on meals out for dinner and breakfast so hopefully that will be a good way for all of the girls to save some money and it's really awesome that we're able to do that because we have an air B&B so then I also recommend going to a discount grocery store because snack food like a little bag of chips this big can be like $5 and it adds up really fast if you have eight girls at a bachelorette especially if you're buying alcohol or even just buying non-alcoholic beverages it gets expensive and you want to buy the chocolate and the candy in the all the snack food and then yeah it gets expensive so I recommend either going to a grocery outlet if you have one in your area they're pretty much all along the west coast so I have one like really close to where I live and I shop at it all the time and I also researched there are three eat down in San Diego so I will definitely be hitting up a grocery outlet that first afternoon that I get there and buying the food that we need for the bachelor weekend so that I don't have to make a quick trip to Safeway and spend like a hundred dollars on food because watch should probably a lot more than $100 because Safeways can be really expensive and not just ragging on Safeway a lot of grocery stores are really expensive and the box of snacks like chips crackers whatever is literally tiny so yeah knowing me that would be gone in two seconds so I definitely recommend going to a discount grocery store so all the Grocery Outlet you may have others nearby there are cheap and affordable that you know about hit those up but if possible go to a discount grocery store because you will have big size food products for cheap tip number seven and my last tip is to carpool if possible typically your first thought would be to take an uber or a lyft or something like that where you are paying to get from point A to point B but oh my goodness going to all these different places throughout the night and then the next morning that would get really really expensive especially in California so one tip that I have if you really do want to use uber or lyft and it's kind of a money saving tip is I'm pretty sure correct me if I'm wrong down in the comments but your first ride with uber and lyft is free if you're a first-time rider so most people have used uber or lyft by now maybe there's somebody who hasn't so if there's somebody in your group who hasn't used it before and you're able to get a free uber or lyft ride definitely go for that because who doesn't love free transportation but if not carpool and have a friend you know one or two friends use their car for the whole weekend and just carpool you around I know that it's maybe not it's like sleek are fun or whatever but I mean you get a cranky on music you can have fun with your girls you don't have to ride with a stranger and it will save you a lot of money and it will save money on parking if you're not all driving your own car around so definitely carpool ok guys so that's all that I have for you for this video I really hope that you enjoyed it please give it a big thumbs up if you liked my video and if you've got some good valuable tips from it and please make sure that you subscribe to my channel if you are new and I really look forward to seeing you guys in the next video I'm brainstorming maybe doing a series like a maid of honor series to give you guys advice on other things such as how I got my bridesmaid dress for $60 cheaper than it would have been and another one would be how I scored really great deals on all the gifts that I'm giving my sister for her wedding so let me know if there's any other video ideas that you're interested in kind of like a maid of honor series or any questions that you have and I would love to make more videos for you guys on that and otherwise I will see you guys in my next video bye
