Digi sign mcw

all right this video is for once we've created a document that needs signatures how to actually get signatures on it and through a through sky slope is where we'll do that there's a some software within there called digi sign digi sign allows us to upload a PDF and send it out for digital signatures to our clients so sky slope comm you'll have a log and username and a password if you're with exp Realty it should be your exp Realty login and password so if it's not obviously just click forgot password and they'll get you set up but if you click sign-in it takes you to the main dashboard you'll basically see these icons transactional icons archives things like that what we're concerned about at this point though is did you sign which is this top icon on the right kind of in the middle of the screen so we'll click on did you sign it brings us to a section if it's a brand new transaction that you're or a brand new offer to purchase anything that's brand new it's not going to be associated yet with a transaction within sky slope so this screen will mean absolutely nothing it we're not going to associate this document with any address that's currently in the system so what we'll do is just click new envelope this green button here on the right click new envelope and then it's again going to say is it associated with an address it is not yet we have not added this address or anything in the sky slope we're just here for signatures so we can click no property which makes it nice and easy brings us to this screen there are currently no documents in here to be signed so we need to upload something we can do one of two things we can either click upload and tell it where to upload from or we can drag the file in I just created a file in zip form called Ivy Springs documents so we can just drag and drop from there if we if we wanted to upload we would do it the same way we just upload and it's just going to ask you which PDF you want to do so I would highlight and hit open but in this case it's already in there I don't have any signature templates set up you can certainly do that this video is not about setting up templates for signatures within didja sign so we're not going to choose a template we're just going to hit next once we've uploaded everything that we need signed if if for instance we had an offer to purchases a lot of times you will have property disclosures mineral oil and gas rights things like that you can upload more than one document just by clicking upload we could add any other document that we wanted by doing it the same way you can also drag and drop one in there once we click Next I will say this if you if you do add more documents just make sure that check marks are checked next to it so that they carry over to the next screen I'll hit next and it's going to ask us who is signing these right so we're gonna click new recipient will call this johnny test and johnny at test comm for the email it's going to ask you the role of this signer in this case it's going to either be a buyer or purchaser or a seller normally but anybody can we can send these out to anybody for digital signatures if you needed the attorney to sign something we could certainly call them the attorney but in this case we'll call them a purchaser the order that they sign is going to be one and they definitely need to sign the order matters only if you wanted somebody to sign something for instance husband and wife need to sign something husband needs to sign first before wife will sign it then you would change the order of their signatures the easiest thing to do is just leave them as order one everybody has order one that way whoever opens their email first can just sign they don't have to wait for the other person to actually sign it just makes it easier on everybody so leave that as order one for the most part and then do they need to sign it yes they need to sign you can add as many people as you want to sign so we would let's say Karen test whoops not Karen Carter Karen at test comm her role is also a purchaser and she needs to sign we're gonna keep her as order one and she needs to sign so we'll save her there the one thing that I always like to do is add a new recipient so I would put myself here Kevin call Kevin at call team.com my role is agent and I would just put myself to receive a copy and so when they're done signing I'll receive a copy of the signed document and that shows up right here who only needs a copy of the signed doc me sometimes you'll you'll have an offer and you want it to go directly to the agent on the other side you can do that there as well you would add new recipient and then agent on the other side make sure you put them as receive a copy so when everybody has signed it goes directly to them especially if you're in a time crunch and say hey I'm gonna get it to you whatever the form is not even necessarily an offer but whatever the document is you can get it to them quickly once this part is done you can click Next and it will bring you into the actual document this is the document that we uploaded here's where you add initials and signatures so this toolbar here has the different options there's signature initials date signed date and time writable fields and then read-only fields full name and check box in this case we would want to add the initials when you click initials it'll highlight the initials box and then you just go and click where you want them to initial it will default this ones defaulting to Johnny test right the easiest way to work through didja sign is go through and put all of Johnny's initials at this point because it defaults to whoever the last initial was I'll show you that doesn't that'll make more sense in a minute so I would go through add all of Johnny's initials everywhere he needed to initial on the document then once once I've done all of Johnny's initials I would click where Karen needs to initial when I do that it's going to pull up the box it's going to default to Johnny because he's the last person I put in an initial for I'll just hit this drop this drop down and go to Karen so now here's Johnny here's Karen and as I click through now they should default to Karen because she was the last last initials that I put on there so we go through and add all of Karen's initial spots I think that's all I did great when I'm done with the initials I can click anywhere on the document and just hit the X but at this point I would need to add signatures as well right so very easily I can scroll to where they need to sign come on signatures you're here somewhere and click the signature box here up in the next to initials you'll see signature and again keep in mind you see how it defaulted to Karen because she's the last person we did anything for so if we needed Johnny's signature we would have to change that to Johnny and then again when I click another signature there's Johnny we would change this to Karen because she's the co buyer then when I'm done adding signatures I can click anywhere and just X if you make a mistake and click somewhere on accident the red X will get you out of there anyway one thing to keep in mind about didja sign which is different than some of the other systems out there it does not automatically date them for you which can be good and it can also be bad good if you're getting a something signed that we don't want dated for today for instant well I'm not even gonna get into that but there are instances where you don't necessarily want the date to show up so that's kind of the cool thing about did you sign the bummer about it is there are other things that you definitely want signed in any case you can add date signed right here next to signature initials signature box initial box here's date signed so we would click on date signed and we could just add that right there again it defaults to the last person and so in this case this is Johnny test's the time he signed so we would want that to be there for Johnny and then here for Karen so just double check when you're adding these boxes that they're assigned to the right person and again I can check and just click that red X two to get out of if I make a mistake or click on accident somewhere so at this point I could go through the whole document add any initials any signatures anywhere I need a date and we're good to go once you've done all of that now you need to send this for signatures to the upper right send just going to say are you ready to send yes I am the subject in this case would be offered to purchase it can be whatever you want it to be type of message to your people good morning Johnny here's the offer to purchase four signatures and click send four signatures it'll say woohoo that was easy there you go woohoo that was easy your document was sent johnny test Karen test they're gonna get an email and go through and sign this once they do I will get a copy of it and it should be good to go one one cool thing about did you sign and within sky slope once you've sent it it's going to bring you back to this screen you see the completed sent drafts let me read them in order there's drafts those are things that have been created not sent out for signatures yet the sent and you'll see the the top one is the one that we just did so this has been sent and it will keep keep note of who signed it so if you look down here on this striped maple it shows that Brock has signed it and we're still waiting for Isobel and Terry to sign this is a just an older deal that was kind of sitting out there the but here's our offer to purchase no one has signed it yet obviously when they do it will say who has and when everybody has it will go into this completed section so now we can see these completed documents so these have all been completed and then here's our templates if we did want to set up signature templates we don't really use them I don't even know how these got in here to be honest with you because we don't we don't use templates within did you sign so that is how how it's done if you want to get quick signatures on a document and need to do it through sky slope and didja sign that is exactly how we have always done it there are probably other ways to do it but for quickness and ease of doing it this should be helpful

How can I eSign a contract?

E-signing a contract with airSlate SignNow is fast, easy, and secure. It’s a robust solution for electronically signing and managing documents, contracts and forms. All you have to do is create your account, import a contract, add signature fields (My Signature and/or Signature Field), and send the contract to recipients. When a recipient receives the contract, all they have to do is open their email, click the invitation to sign, create their eSignature, and execute the field you assigned to them. After every party has executed their signature field(s), airSlate SignNow will automatically send everyone involved an executed copy of the contract.

What is the definition of an electronic signature according to the ESIGN Act?

According to the ESIGN Act, an electronic signature is any symbol attached to a document confirming the validity of a signor’s intent to sign. It must always be associated with a signer (contain a digital trace including a timestamp and ID) and also demonstrate the clear intention of signing. airSlate SignNow provides users with a legally-binding eSignature. So any document, contract, or agreement signed with airSlate SignNow is enforceable in the United States and the European Union.

What makes an electronic signature legally binding?

The legacy of an eSignature varies from one country to another and depends on the country’s local and federal laws. Compliance with ESIGN, UETA, and eIDAS is what makes an eSignature tool binding as a market standard. Two-step authentication, industry-leading security standards, document audit trail, and document tamper-proofing make eSignatures even more legal than wet-ink equivalents in the eyes of the law.
