but what's up Erwin mark Loeb liner Tiger Fitness calm CEO mgs Nutrition I want to talk about non-competes today and how they might be the stupidest thing you could ever sign in your entire life first of all they're not going to hold up in most states so if you did sign a non-compete don't worry there's ways out of it but it costs money because you're gonna have to go to court and you have to get that non-compete severed let me explain what a non-compete is when you accept a job or during your term of employment your employer might ask you to sign it on compete a non-compete can mean you don't work in any company to give an industry you don't work in any competitive industry within a certain amount of miles or radius around that I'll explain I'll give you an example of that or or it could mean that well you can't work at all depending on the magnitude of the contract you signed again there's a lot of different things that play here so very rarely does that latter one happen that's like sell out CEO multi-billion dollar stuff that will rarely happen the first tube the radius as well as the industry clause are the two that really come into play for example in this industry there's two companies one is an existing company one's a company who has someone working there all their salespeople went over to this new company what happened the old company is kept them in court for the last probably seven years suing them over this vs over the thaad compete because they broke their non complete non-compete another issue I have a good friend of mine who's a local soccer coach okay I'm going to just make up random names they might be real they might not but there's a club a local soccer club called TCS a tri-cities and they made all their coaches sign non-competes which means if you travel outside I believe it's a 20-mile radius you can coach well in that 20 mile radius you cannot so you have people driving 30 40 miles to get a a job when they might live in the st. Charles area which is where it is or Elgin or in Geneva and the thing is softer clubs in this area you got the kickers you got CSA captain you got all these clubs just tons of clubs within this area you can't work in any of that okay so what happens is it doesn't allow you to go out and get a position with clubs in the area and I had one friend who they actually terminated him okay and this organization literally even though they terminated him tried to tell him that the non-compete was still biting first of all that's hogwash that's absolutely rubbish if you fire someone a non-compete it's probably not going to be binding anyway but they're going to lawyer up they probably have a lawyer overlooking their stuff anyway right because they have some money it's clubs do pretty well so if you're a soccer coach making I'm guessing forty to sixty grand a year trying to raise your children in st. Charles Illinois okay which is expensive expense property taxes alone will [ __ ] that whole salary you're trying to do that can you afford to lawyer up and fight it no like if someone did that to me I'd be like fine talk to my attorney let's rock but let's say you don't have that kind of expendable business expense what do you do you bend over to take it because you have to lawyer up and that lawyer is going to cost you five hundred dollars an hour okay to write a simple cease and desist letter once cost me $700 but that's a simple letter cost $700 look at hours and hours I thought a court we thought for cases for a couple hours of work couple grand few grand 10 grand cost but so they're going to hold you out now here's the deal as an employer here's how I look at it if you leave the company go work somewhere else have fun be happy if you don't want to be here I don't want you here and you're toxic attitude and not wanting to be within my organization go work anywhere how go work with our number one competitor they deserve you because you know what going to crush you anyway okay now I also I don't believe in non-competes and also if I fire someone well obviously didn't want them in money company so why would I care if they go work for a competitor's company I want that toxic person in that company maybe they'll screw that company up too so whether hiring or whether quitting or firing it doesn't matter if there's a non-compete in play I want them to have the opportunity to earn - if a competitor of mine offers an employee double what they're making with me and I don't feel their job or their what they do within the organisation is worth double their salary you know what you got to do what you got to do they got bills to pay they got families you know what I wish you the best and I hope we can still exchange Christmas cards what I'm getting out with this video guys if you are in a position to accept a career or a job and they put a non-compete in front of you I implore you no matter how sweet the deal not to sign it not to take that job however if you are selling a company and a non-compete is part of you selling it and gaining enough money for you to retire on that's what non-competes are okay so it comes down to whether that is worth it if you feel that your or a non-compete which can come with a buyout clause for example they can say that if you abide by this non-compete we will pay you a hundred thousand dollars you just have a two-year non-compete if you feel you are not worth more than fifty thousand dollars working for someone else or within that industry for those two years then a non-compete makes complete sense however if you feel that that will hinder your ability to earn and to basically bring home money for yourself your family whatever your needs are never ever ever sign a non-compete and I would also also venture to say that an employer who makes their employees sign a non-compete does not have their employees best interest in mind that's why I always go by the policy of the non-compete that exists within my companies is no non-compete you're free to go whenever you want and I'm free to let go of you whatever I on because if I'm letting go of you I feel it's best for the company to make the company go better so everybody else can prosper the other people who belong in the organization however if you feel that you need to go somewhere and you have a non-compete and you feel it's better for your career or you just don't like being here by all means there's the door anyway guys let me know what you think about this comment down below do you currently have a non-compete do you regret signing it have would you ever consider signing it on Coupee what are your opinions on non-competes comment down below that's not a game so I'm looking mighty modis why I get am asking them all from one of the other sites that sell supplements and you're just a number two right they were bragging that we want something in line with free shipping bro if you order over ninety-nine dollars in product in the continental US any day of the week free shipping anywhere in the US a continental US a free shipping on orders over ninety nine dollars at Tiger Fitness calm why even look at the other guys and also we ship from Vegas and Ohio most place in the US are one to two days shift that's not a game
