[Music] [Music] welcome to my channel Steve all the window cleaner today we are gonna talk all about how to create professional window cleaning bids today we've had three bids to do while we're down in Boulder doing some commercial work and I thought this would be a good opportunity to kind of show you the way that we have now been doing our bids and I think it is a lot more professional and it's actually easier because you're just putting all the information in one place what is the way that we used to do our bids the way we used to do our bids was through like a carbon copy they would get the white one we would take the yellow one and then we would also write down the information for the job in our calendar and that's how we'd have the information for the job now we are transferring kind of slowly because it's a it's a bad time of the year to really be switching into a CRM because of how busy we are we're not being able to give it quite the attention we want to to the calendar and get everything in there as far as commercial well we are working on that but the great thing that you get right away and that it's really easy to use is the bidding feature on there basically going through a request to a quote and the quote that you send your customers through Jabra is so easy and so professional I wanted to show you guys so bidding homes or bidding jobs in general are mostly talking about bidding residential in this video can be quite a task from just getting there the GPS getting there to some of these places you can get lost it just becomes quite a task in anything to make it easier I think as a is a plus for any of us so I'm just gonna walk you through basically you know what we do as far as kind of amounts and then what it looks like working through the job or app and getting a professional-looking quote to send to the customer it's only going to help you that's how I look at it we get two homes what we do is we count up by pain and we count up the screens we'll walk around the outside of the home basically look for kind of feel the windows see how dirty they are of course if it's construction clean you kind of know that off the bat so that's pretty easy to see well walk around the house count up all the panes count up all the screens that we can see it's not typical that we go inside the home that's actually quite rare when that does happen is when there is something inside that the customer Lee wants us to see but we let the customers know you do not need to be home for the bid I do think it's a good interaction to have with the customers to have them home but sometimes if you're in a rush you're trying to get a lot of bids done it's almost better to kind of follow up with them later on that night when you would have time to really look at the bid and tell them you know what's going on that's a really nice thing now about the CRM were using which is jobber in which you're able to lay out everything they're really super easy we're able to do that here but it's just very organized and that under our client inside jobber we'll have every single quote we've written them every single job we've done for them and all their info right there we could have a photo of the home it's just I think it makes a lot easier you know sometimes though you go to these bids and you know there could be a scary dog on the back I had that happen today where it like I went in the back the guy said there's a dog in the back I think he's really nice to go in the back and there's a German Shepherd the only reason that scares me we have another house where we have a German Shepherd and the dog is trained to basically attack if somebody comes on the property so it always scares me but there would just be things that come up you know sometimes you won't see the storms on jobs that says something very important look for right the last home I did today was all storms but they just wanted outside done so you make sure when you ask them do you want inside out done you got to make sure that you're also seeing the storm because it has happened in the past that we've given someone a price and not pay close enough attention that there were storm windows and then later on went there and they're thinking you're doing inside and out so you quoted me and it's like crap I never specified that you know we're not doing inside out of the storms so really when you go to these bids make sure you really pay attention but let's go through real quickly on the jabra app kind of how you're going to enter the information in and how you're gonna send a how you're gonna get a request now our request is basically say a person reaches out to you for the first time you put their information in that's a request then we move to a quote then we move to converting it to a job okay so first we are gonna go to the app to the job or app I have found at the jabra app for the phone is extremely easy to use of course the desktop is going to be probably the most easiest thing to use but for in the field it's extremely easy to use so we're going to enter a a person that is not real I I would love to do this video at a home and really film it through but I just don't find that appropriate and I didn't want to do to my own home so what you're first going to do is you're going to add a client so let's name the client Joe Bob first name Joe last name Bob if they're with a company if this is a commercial job you would enter right there what company they're with phone number we're just gonna enter a random one one two three four five six seven okay email address I'm gonna put my email address in so that we can see when I send the quote what it looks like from my point of view being the business owner and from the customers point of view so we enter their their email address and then the property address we're gonna enter in something bogus here one one one Main Street it might tell me that this isn't a right address a right address so it might give me a little trouble here state Colorado let's say 0 5 0 3 so we have their person in there we save them so now we're to the main page here where so say Jill Bob puts in a request for a job so now we're gonna click on request a new request they want residential window cleaning ok we're gonna turn on the on-site assessment we we usually don't set a time just because cuz we're a smaller company we don't have people from an office going through these bids we're taking care of these bids Wow we're also working so we usually let them know anytime but if they're specified they need a time we will make time for them so we do it anytime and say we're gonna do it today then you're gonna tap your team and usually Jim or I will do these bids and that's it down here in the assessment instructions you could put you know they want inside and out as far as their bit so done there we save okay so everything's filled out so now we have a request right so what I do is when I actually get to the home I start looking at the house and everything like I'm getting my prices ready now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna convert this to a quote ok so now I can add a line item residential window cleaning and right down here this is where I'm going to put you know basically inside out I might write some more information like you know power wash screens deep clean tracks stuff like that and then I'll put the total let's just say it's $100 right that's it you could put more details you could put a client message maybe say a Joe Bob clean up your Legos so I don't step on them in your kid's room job description let's just say it's window cleaning some of this stuff isn't like technically necessary when I filled out stuff I have found that some of this doesn't really need it you can pretty much get away with just doing the line items so you don't need to go through and fill out all this stuff so now we have a quote so we saved that quote very easy and so now what we want to do is we want to email the quote so right when you get to this screen you can see that it says hi Jo Bob thank you for inquiring about a quote for one to clean please find a detail copy of our quote attach this email it gives them the total now what I can also just check to make sure is I can see what the PDF is going to look like now here's the cool thing we have our logo in there we have our information for our company we have the recipients address we have the service address we'll have the date in there what the total is and what the services and this I think is a very professional quote it's an it's an email format you can send them they can it's a PDF they can print it out it's just a little bit better than Carbon Copy everybody does stuff by their phone and everybody does stuff by email it's the way the world is doing and you've got to catch up so this is gonna be what might be the difference in between a guy that's just gonna write the price on the back of a card even if he's less expensive than us who are sending a professional bid to our possible customers now so that is what you're going to be sending them but they're also going to receive that first part so now we'll go back to here so writes who get to here we see that everything's right I can also say send me a copy or I can add a CC email right there send me a copy we'll send another copy to me but I'm also already sent it to me so I sent that I send it and that's it the really cool thing is is once a person gets it Madeley and they go on the link they can approve that quote so you don't need to have another conversation with them unless they have questions for you once they approve that quote you can contact them to text or phone call whatever and they can sign up right then and there for the date and time it was super easy at a lady there day she approved the quote I texted her hey do these days work yep she signed up it's done just like that no other conversation needed some customers will want more of a conversation but it's not always needed once that is approved quote I'm not going to tritanus another job so don't mess things up my own system then what I would do is I could approve a quote or convert to a job right there so let's see instead of have an issue I think an issue because oh I wrote the wrong email okay let me go back real quick I'm gonna fix this pip back to you okay so I fix that so I'm gonna rescind some i rescind the quote boy down here it's the email quote I'm gonna send that that would get to me right over here an email hi Joe Bob thank you for inquiring about a quote for one to clean please find duty a copy we're attached to this email I can say review quote tomato the client hub right there your customer can see it and right there at the bottom they can approve the quote they can also print off the quote so I think that is just extremely easy professional way to do quoting for a special residential window cleaning if you're wondering about prices we're somewhere in the range usually propane five to ten dollars per screen somewhere between two and four dollars tracts we always almost charged the same as cleaning per a pain because what we find for tracking deep cleaning takes almost sometimes longer than actually cleaning the window sometimes we'll do that can compliment you right but it's kind of rare it's
