summertime is right around the corner and that means parents are probably wondering if camps will happen or not this year because of covin 19 most camps will happen but with several changes and safety precautions ago we think it's just so important for kids to get out and be able to do some fun normal outdoor activities and you know our nature base camp we're outside most of time anyways we think we're well placed and well positioned to be able to do it safely with with some important modifications it's really great just recently the governor and the CDC on Friday just issued very clear direction on what summer outdoor youth program should look like and specifically camps the American camping Association has also provided a lot of guidance around how to provide a safe summer camp experience or camps will look different and many organizations are limiting the number of children registered in addition to completing daily wellness checks Woods is proceeding with our summer camps obviously with some important modifications to our protocols especially of how campers are dropped off how we staff camp not mixing camp groups during the week Tiffany well tack and temperature check of staff and children that's going to be standard operating procedure upin we're gonna we have a touchless thermometer that we will be using for staff and for kids and then we'll have a process in place for your staff or children that present with a temperature higher than the recommended 100 point for say an approved group side brief rotavirus would have been 15 children to one staff member we're choosing to reduce that even less so there would be maybe 10 children the one staff member more time is meant to be fun but during the age of a pandemic will it be types of things we act we offer are its nature nature nature outside exploring you know learning about plants and animals walking on the trails some of our older kids get into dewey using pS units typically we would take children or with a from camp for field trips but we can't really figure out a safe way to do that by putting them on on a school bus that this at this point and so instead what we're gonna be doing is bringing enrichment experiences due to children so parents often have the option to wait and see how guidelines will change throughout the summer months operate on a rolling admission and again we recognize that there's gonna be hesitation perhaps around a camp experience right away when kids get out of school in the next week or so delayed this start normally summer camp would start June 8th we delayed the start by two weeks for the simple matter that most of our staff as has been required has been working off-site through this so this gives our staff a little more time to ramp back up of being on-site MRO slowest door eerie calm
