Hello I'm Stephanie Agnew with the MaxxSouth Digital Media Center at Mississippi State University Libraries. In this tutorial I will show you how to easily sign documents digitally with your phone or your computer. Let's get started. The first question we all need answered is how can you be sure that your signature is protected and authentic. Your digital signature and the PDF document are encrypted bound and secured with a tampered evident seal. Unique to you. a unique digital identity certificate and a pen to easily validate your credentials and identity. This is found from the Acrobat.adobe.com site. First we'll look at using your computer to sign a document. Open the forms document that needs to be signed. Go to the signed icon and click here. You have two choices. Add a signature or add initials. We will start with add a signature. Click the plus sign. You have three choices type, draw, image click type and type your name. Use the changes style option for a different look. If you decide to draw your signature select the current signature and delete it with the keyboard delete button. Click on draw and use the mouse or a stylus to create your signature. Click apply and position the signature in the appropriate location. Use the sizing handles in the lower right corner for adjustments. You may change the color of your signature by using the color picker. If you choose to change the signature styles click the delete key on the signature box. Go back to the signature button. You will see the last signature used. Click the minus sign to delete and go through the process again. If you prefer to use the initial signature. Go to sign and choose. Add initials. Type your initials and choose a style. Position in the correct location. Your signature and initial styles will be available under the sign option when you're satisfied with your signature. Save your file as a p_d_f_. Your signed p_d_f_ will look like the one here. To sign documents digitally on your phone. You must have the Acrobat app downloaded to your phone. Locate the form that you need to sign. Click the blue pin in the bottom right corner and choose fill and sign. Use the signature icon in the bottom of the screen. You have draw, image or camera as signature options. First we will use draw. Use your finger and sign your name on the screen. Click done. Tap your screen to place the signature, position your signature in the correct location. Use the color picker to choose the color you prefer. Resize your image if needed. Now let's look at how to use an image of your signature. Choose the signature button. Click create signature click on image and choose select image locate your image in your photos on your phone. Click insert and choose none.
