Draft phone text
hi this is a quick introduction to using drafts with the messages app so say I've launched drafts and type this text and I want to send it to a friend using iMessage I'm going to swipe over to the left and tap the default message action the message window pops up and you'll see it's prefilled the text from the draft I can add a recipient and tap send since drafts integrates directly with the messages app if I jump back over to messages you'll see that messages in my conversation history just as if I sent it from messages and that's great but let's go back and make this a little more powerful by configuring an action with predefined recipients so I'm going to go back over and I'm going to duplicate this message action by swiping over to the right and tapping duplicate then I'm going to edit our new version by swiping over and tapping edit and change the name and call this one friends and changed the color now I'm going to tap on the message step steps are the guts of where things happen in a drafts action but this one's simple and just has one message step and tap into that and here's where it's configured you'll see I can add recipients I could type directly in that field with a comma delimited list of recipients but I'm gonna hit the plus button to select from my contacts so let's add Janice and hit Plus again to add doc and that's it we've configured our recipients you can also have stock text and in the body but let's not mess with that right now now I'm gonna back up and change one more setting on the action I'm gonna scroll up and change the after success setting to archive that tells drafts that after I've run this action I want to move the current draft to the archive because I probably won't need it again once I've messaged it back back out now let's run our new action and you'll see the same message window pops up but not only the text is filled in but the recipients are and you just need a tap send and that's it you can set up as many of these as you like to groups or individuals you text often hope this gets you started with messages and drafts get more information at get drafts calm [Music]
