Save acceptor byline

[Music] good morning I'm currently making a video on creating a change machine with an Arduino and a queen hopper on the other side of there however I thought I'd do a separate video because this could take few minutes on actually programming the queen acceptor which is the CH 9 to 6 similar process for all the different variants of this coin acceptor so the clinic that comes with some instructions that are really really not clear and also if I want to do this few years ago they have improved the instructions into the neck specific set but it's still not at all clear so what I've done ultimately is I'd mimicked up a little chart here which tells me that we're going to use six coins and these are pound 2 P 5 P 10 20 and 50 P and I've chosen that dead upholstery so that paneling we have 1 pulse 2 P 2 pulses and so on also when we turn this thing on in a minute we're going to get a few different symbols we're going to get a first of all the letter A which will just tell us that we're in the programming mode now I'm going to get 8 which is going to ask us how many coins we want well we're using it to its full capacity so we're going to select 6 but even though you might have this model and you were only using say 4 coins for example then obviously we would set e to 4 so we're going to use the full 6 H is the sample amount so how many coins you're actually going to put into the slot to sample that so that we can understand and learn what that coin looks like the more that you have the better p1 is going to be the number of pulses or P is going to be the pulses so how many pulse you are going to get from the white poor swine so basically swipe or fine you will get a number of pulses which will let your microcontroller or whatever you use in your controller know what coins been inserted and then finally F is the accuracy and the default for this is 737 so basically how accurate you're going to be so let's turn this up and see what so okay we're going to turn this on now and we're connecting this to the 12 volt power supply and you can see that that you got beep and you got a red LED coming out probably like this power what we're then going to do is we're going to put it in programming mode so we're going to hold up set sorry we're going to hold that add a - buttons together at the exam which is get to caught with one hand and then let go and you get the letter A so that letter A there whoops sorry but letter A there just tells us that we are in programming mode so the next thing we need to go into the turn is light down so we can also see the LED better yep there we go that's better we're now going to click and select set and hold set down and that will now change to the letter e okay so what we're going to do now is from E we're going to click the add it doesn't matter which when you click Add or - we're going to choose how many Queens we want to select so I want to select six BEC I want to use it to its full capacity and identify six coins once we've got that then we're going to hold down the set button again and we're going to be given our first option which is H and we're showing now h1 so this is going to be the sample amount for coin 1 so H is a sample amount coin number 1 is the coin type so this is going to be of nice little handy chart made here this is going to be my 1 pound coin and I want one pulse so let's go up here and we want this is H this is the sample amount I'm I would recommend like I say at least 15 to 20 I know bring this down to 10 books women can you bring this down to 10 just because I haven't got our money coins per sample I said I'm not really prepared for doing this then I'm going to hold down the set button again and that's going to bring up P 1 which is the pulses for coin number 1 so let's take that down to to persuade to number one because this is for the pound and I'm going to hold set again for the accuracy and we're going to hopefully put the accuracy to 7 which is a default values for up seven now when we hit set for the second time now we're now on h2 so we're going to start scrolling background in that cycle of h PF h PF for each of the coin types so I know on h2 so we're looking at the 2p so I'm going to set everything the same to be honest I'm just going to put the pulses to two and I'm going to keep scrolling through until the end and then once I've come to six I'll show you what happens then I've scrolled right through now to eight six so I thought to show you one more cycle so I'm on h4 coins six which is a sample note so again I'm just going to drop that down to ten and receptacle or you should be looking at fifteen or twenty but not that many coins pulses P next so P six on a set up to six but you can obviously set that element pulse as you want so again f6 cut up to the default eight for accuracy so when I set this when I hit set now for this final time that in theory is the last value and so now we should see what happens so we're back now to back on now to a finally once you've gone through to a and you've gone back all the way around the circle hold set again until you get E and that means that you have now saved and you power off so obviously my last clip I'd share I could tell after I've gone to a and I nearly powered off and I forgot to hit set again to get back to this edge and then once we've done that we can like a fake power off okay so we've powered off and all that information should be saved and in there so next thing now we need to start sampling the closed okay it's the next day now and we've come to sample the coin so it's programmed it we unplugged it and now we've just turn it back on literally now and we're going to hold down the set one and A one should appear on the display so now what we're going to do is we're going to sample our first coin and coin number one if you remember it was the pound coin so quite simply what we're going to do here is we are literally going to put as many pound coins as we can find three machine that's a sample them so here we go coin wash and you can see there that it's counted up and if you remember we change this parameter in the Settings tab when we set off each coin now I also said that I'm doing a really poor job at this I've only got three pound coins alone let's assign your mouth so this is not the correct way for you should be doing it you should be simple it with different coins so it gets a sense of true reflection of what this coin looks like over all rather than just the same three that I'm putting through neither say however I'm going to continue this I will just continue for a second until I so you can see happens when you're sensing kind of where it says ten or fifteen about feeling with what fifteenth risk good good and there you go yet so we must have done ten and a one is now flashing and that means that that is done so now we hold down set again and a two appears and a two was our two free coins so I'm going to repeat this process now until it starts flashing and example each coin type okay so we have back now and we've programmed the coin acceptor please check out my other video for that we've attached it to this cheap logic probe and the logic probe basically can't count but we can at least visualize how many pulses there are if they're slow enough so I'm going to insert a pound now and we're going to look at the valve logic probe and we can clearly see then there's one quick pulse I'm going to stick in now a 50 P which was programmed for six pulses although we might not go to count the six pulses because the trick that's certainly more pointed subjects definitely more pulses from so definitely differentiating between the coins let's see now is the adrenal compete this up you
