Hello, let me show you how to combine two videos in Descript onto a single sequence and how to edit interviews or videos with multiple speakers. I have a project in Descript here and I have the Project sidebar open. I don't have any project files, no sequence, this is blank. And so I'm going to bring in two videos, one of myself, and one of my guest. These were recorded with Riverside, but you can record with Zoom or any other application that you may obtain two files from, one for you, one for your guest. I'm going to bring these into the Project files folder. And right now there's nothing happening with these files. You can combine them both into a multi-track sequence like this by right clicking, or you can create your own sequence from scratch with these files. And I'm going to actually do that just to show you the full process. So I'm going to right click on the project sidebar and create a new sequence. Sequences are like in video editing, multi track. You can put multiple tracks, whichever track is at the top appears in front of the tracks below. So I'm going to bring my video in here first. Just put it on the first track and you can see the video here. I can scroll through it. Now I'm going to bring the guest video on a separate track. So as you drag it from the left, Descript says, add track. So I'm just going to drop it here. And Descript creates a new track and places it there. Because these come from the same recording, they are pretty much the same length and they should be synchronized in terms of the audio. So you notice when I speak, my guest doesn't speak and vice versa. If I go into the sequence, which I'm going to rename by calling it, Both speakers. I can now create a composition from this sequence. Right click, Create composition from file. The reason you do not see the words here is because the files have not been transcribed. So I can transcribe these files, and then I'm going to see the words in here. So let me do that. If you see next to the file, there is the icon indicating the type of file it is. And these are video files, they also have audio in them, but you don't see the text. If I click on the file, this is the file, and you do not see the words here. That's what it means. The file has not been transcribed. I can click here to transcribe file or I can right-click on the file and say, Transcribe file. The same thing. It's now asking me what language it is and click Transcribe. And it may also ask me who is in the video talking.
