Fax companion signature service

hi everyone is over here welcome back to my channel today I have a couple of tutorials for you on some cards I'll be making using these beautiful beautiful and products and these are all from the same collection which is the vintage Tea Party collection by Cyrus Signature Collection from crafters companion and I purchased these probably back in February I think it was and I wanted them for summer and like spring summer cards because I think these lend themselves really well too you know and the summary cards that we all make whether it's for a party and whether it's a birthday party or like a baby shower or just tea parties which we associate with the summer even if you're doing bunting and so just a really really pretty collection to have so I did have like summer themed cards in mind when about these so I'll show you some of the things I'll be using before I get onto my cards and so this dye here is a huge die is called teatime celebration and is a whole big die and it's really really big actually I think it's them the measurement of it is a five four and a half inch square or five inch square so it's a five by five and it says there and it's lovely lovely dice I'm using this I'm using this gorgeous doily I absolutely love this toy Lee I think it's just so pretty and really really nice size then this is the afternoon tea set I just love this I can't wait to show you have already cut the bits and pieces out and they came out with super adorable then I have the cherry cupcake just such a perfect cupcake and it's amazing how it looks because I've already cut it out and I'll construct it with you and then this is the terrific sentiment and I should I say terrific so if you've got a tee-rrific there's always time for tea you're just my cup of tea so I'm using this on one of the cards and then these beautiful beautiful embossing folders and this is the doily delights I absolutely love this embossing folder I cannot tell you how much I love it is just so so so lovely and probably one of my all-time favorites in the embossing folders and then this one which is the botanical borders and this has all the florals around the edge okay so I'm gonna move these aside and I'm also gonna be using this on one of my cards is thank you Oh actually I'm not using this one I'm using the Happy Birthday one which is here so I love using this and this is another crafters companion die and this one is from the black and gold collection which is another Sarah signature urn collection so I'm going to put those aside and I'm gonna get cracking so for my addy staves I'll be using and some foam pad and I'm gonna also use I'm going to use this and this is a glue that I got I use it for fabrics and but I think I'm going to use it today on my project so I'm going to use this one as my wet glue okay so that's perfect for fabric and paper to be honest and some foam pad okay so my first card I've already put the base layers up and you're gonna see a theme with these cards and it's going to be a beautiful like almost like chocolates and creams and biscuits and ice cream kind of theme call it um colored cards that I'll be using so real really lush and yummy to look at so this card base I'll be using it's five and a half by six and a half and it's just a 300 GSM card stock and this part will be a portrait card opening like this okay so for my first layer I have some cream cardstock and the cream and the brown look really beautiful together I've also caught my third layer so there's quite a lot of layers going on to each of these cards I mean and this is a craft has come not crafters companion it's the corrugated card by die cuts with a view and I love using this so I'll be using the cream on this and then this is the beautiful beautiful embossing folder that we're showing you earlier on and that's the deepest side and all I've done with this is I've cut it to size and I've gone round with some browning and I've just edged a and then I've just kind of gone in with it and picked up some of those um highlighted areas there and this is on a shimmer cardstock or setting card structure to say and so I'm just going to get started and start layering these up so for my first layer I think I want it quite flat because the best of it's gonna be quite dimensional and I'm gonna go ahead and use my right below for this first layer I'm doing two cards today so I hope you enjoy these tutorials they're just so so beautiful die-cuts and elements and I really had a lot of fun cutting them out and but I wanted to save time and cut them out before I started my video okay so that is my first layer on top of that I will be having this and I'm gonna have this popped up a bit so when I put some foam on this here and it's just gonna give it some dimension and they've also pulled out some flowers we'll be using on these cards as well so I'll show you those in a second such a lovely day today I hope you're all having a fabulous day wherever you are in the world and I hate taking these backings off and I did have some wider tape which would have been perfect and I ran out of them the wider tape is obviously so much quicker or if you've got some cardboard includes you can just layer them up and give your dimension and you stick them on I'm gonna add a bit white glue for some reinforcement of that I'm gonna add that to the top layer over here and I'm gonna get it quite symmetrical because you'll see why in a sec and then this layer is going to go on top of here and I can have this one and flat because I've got dimension on the other layer so again with the wet glue I'm just gonna go around the edge off that piece and then a bit in the middle and then I'm gonna put that down so I think I'm gonna have it just this we can have it any way you want there isn't a particular way you need to have this design so is pretty on every single corner of the actual embossing folder ok so that's done so that is my layered layered pieces so I'll show you the bits and pieces that I've cut out for this card I've got to Doyle is one of cut from that cream cardstock unmess second layer and one is actually from the corrugated card and it cut through beautifully as you can see I absolutely love these so I'm going to have these kind of layered so we'll decide how about these I've already layered my teapot here and I've used some of the similar colors that I've used on the card base and I'm going to show you quickly how I'm gonna lay these up so this is the teacup and you get a solid layer and you also get the funds a little piece here and I'm gonna put them together I've also cut out twice there's always time for tea and I've cut it in this light cream and also some dark brown to give a shadow effects and I've just them together and they're just gonna sit here so I'm gonna show you how I stick the fancy little intricate piece on to the base so I'm going to put some glue down find this the easiest way to get into all these little pieces including the little handle there and then you just take your solid layer and then you stick them together that easy so cute oh so I'm doing these and quite like you know the brown tones and the neutrals but imagine them on like pinks and blues and greens and foiled card to get you know the bone china effect if you use some foiled card looks so pretty so these are the two elements to this card I got up on the top and I just need to kind of figure out how I want these so I'm going to scatter them probably help them just like that so I'm going to stick these down so with this bit because and when have it covered on the back I'm just going to add some hot glue here and I'm also going to have a bit of hot glue here because I don't want them completely flat onto the card and someone have these kind of like took up a bit and where the glue is is where these are gonna go so I'm gonna add some foam pads to these so this layer is gonna have one one layer of foam pads and then I'm gonna have to laid there two layers on my mt cook because I want it more to the front than the teapot that makes sense okay so my teapot goes on first like this with a bit of dimension and this is gonna be I probably have three layers actually because I want it and you can give it a bit of shape just curve it in your hand and I'm gonna have back there so I'll have two layers don't want it too high up so one layer and then clear so to give me twice as much height white glue and then I'm gonna have this just hovering above here I think I'm just so cute oh that's so adorable this just needs to be straight oh so cute okay and then for my M there's always time for tea I'm gonna stick this again the same way I did my fancy bit on the teapot on the teacup and I'm gonna have this kind of just floating at the bottom here and I don't mind the fact that is going to go out a bit get down I'm so cute I love this card and then I've picked out some flowers because I wanted some flowers on these and so I've got my gardenias these wild Aquacraft flowers so you can use whatever flowers you have so I'm going to kind of have them up here and put these bits off and then one more because I want it kind of on that corner and don't want too much of this green because I don't want to introduce another color I'm going to take these little leaves off and the gardenia sprays they don't have Anna green leaves they're all brown on brown which is fine and then I'm just going to give it some shape and I'm going to add these first so again in with my hot glue and I'm gonna put a fair bit of glue down and this is going on the corrugated and section like so and then I'm gonna have my large garden here in the center of those looks so cute I love it okay and then the final touch I'm at 14 minutes already okay and the final touch and as always i'm going to go in with some heavy gesso or you can have some white paint whatever you've got and and i'm just gonna take it off the lid here off baby excess and i'm just gonna go in and shabby fiim it just makes such a difference let's give it a bit of and even if you wanted to add a bit of shabbiness to this all adds to the effect isn't it and that's that so that is my first card oh this is so cute and I'm gonna add a bit more glue just behind this leaf here because it's annoying me and you're gonna have that stuff down a bit more there so that is my beautiful first card okay onto my next part I'm going to do this a bit quicker hopefully so for this card I have a few different layers so got this is gonna be a landscape card system card stock from crafters companion and this is the beautiful embossing powder embossing powder the embossing folder rather with the pretty florals on the sides and this whole layer is backed onto some brown and I couldn't decide that's why I'm Boston both but the brown lay is gonna go as the base and for this card because of the embossing I am going to go in with some hot glue and I'm gonna put it down as flat as I can and then the brown section is going to be and the section that's gonna be on to the white card base and this is going to sit on here so it's created a little frame for me and this layer is going to go and have some wet glue that's going to sit on here so it's already got a really lovely frame okay and then on top of that I have some more brown cardstock and some more corrugated card stock and so the corrugated card stock is going to go flat and this is an offset card so the square is bigger than the actual card base we all want it like an offset and this is going to be the focal point and so I'm gonna stick this down first in fact I'm gonna have this on foam pads so I'm going to look at some foam out and get stuff get it stuck down there's no right way or wrong way to this card because it's double-sided so I'm just gonna go in with my foam and I'm not gonna go all the way up because I'm a third of it is gonna be bare from the back you know and again wet glue onto this bit here and then my layer I want to show off a bit of that embossing so I'm not gonna go down all the way I'm gonna have a bit of that showing through like this and on top of that I'm gonna have the corrugated card like so and this is going to be the flat and the flat section of that layer and that's gonna go on there creating another frame so it's all about creating layers with my cards I love adding lots of layers of card stock and then on top of that I have these sections of hotel so I'm going to show you what I've done I've got the I've got that large die which I've cut twice and what I've done I'll got another one in white so I've got a whole one in this beautiful like a vintage pink and then I've cut out another one in brown and all I've done is I've just gone in on the brown section and cut out all the inside and it's left me with that frame and that's give me this beautiful panel here and this panel is going to sit on top of a lavet light brown card which will be on top of here so you can see all the beautiful creamy chocolatey biscuity colors just there so with this I'm layer there's quite a lot of chunky pieces that I can put my glue on the back of that's what I'm going to do so I'm just going to go in with my glue and add this section on like so so really really pretty down this one and you know if even if you didn't want to do what I've done it's just a really nice card base card panel whatever you want to call it and you're just good to go just add a little border ribbon and then you're all ready to go okay so I'm not going to add too much because it's gonna be all the layers going on top of this and this section is gonna sit on top of a light brown card sort of cut out okay and this will then sit here and this section will be another flat section so you can see there's lots of layers I don't wanna add too much they I mention and go crazy with it because it'll end up looking like a huge cake but really high which I don't want okay so this is my full card layer and then on top of this I'm just gonna put that to the side I've already cooked out my happy birthday in white card and then my cupcake which I'll show you and I've cut out two different sections I was thinking of having like a red velvet cupcake but I thought I'm just gonna lay them slightly and with that top layer here of the cupcake layer I'm gonna get so the top layer here I've actually embossed through the embossing folder and got that beautiful detail there so what I'm going to do I'm just going to lay those two bits together and for instant instant adhesion I'm going to use hot glue because what I wanted to do to this got some white ink here this is opaque papermania ink and I'm just gonna try to grab um those flowers like that they kind of pop and it gives it a bit of dimension oh that looks so cute and you can go in to the bottom of that as well and all the way around the edge okay so that is my top layer of my cupcake and this section cuts out and I wanted a base layer behind it but you don't get this it's all I've done I've just put it on some white card and I've just cut it you'd have to be too neat on the top because this layer is going to cover most of that top so again I'm gonna go ahead with some glue that I've got here on my card I think I need a bit more and I'm gonna put this on there to give me that white layer and I wanted the white because I've got the white on the base of the card there and I've also got a white sentiment and I've also got the white frosting you mean okay so before I put the frosting on and my little cherries which I've cut on to red and green and this is what that looks like so you cut it twice once in red ones in green and then you layer them and then I start layering this so I'm going to put again a bit of hot glue just for some instant stickiness onto my cupcake layer oh my gosh is so adorable imagine making tags with this and I'm gonna give it some um some dimension just by folding it and this is gonna sit on the top of the front of my card and I'm going to stick this frosting bit on just gonna sit on there then again add some hot glue to this because I want it to stick instantly like that and then my cherries I'm gonna add at the end okay so I want this quite central and I want my sentiment just here oh my god that's so cute okay so I'm gonna put some foam pads behind this so this card and the maroon card that I've got here is the glitter card and I've used the back of it and for my layer here I'm going to use a couple of foam pads and I think I want to use two layers and again some white glue and this so my background is basically the fun background you can see there oh I look so cute and then my sentiment happy birthday again I'm gonna put some glue down here and I'm just gonna dip it in my blue and get this duck down sorry I'm at 25 minutes that this is gonna be a long video and this will just sit here and if you see if they see a bit where you think it will need to be Mowgli just lift it up take your card let's stick it down again like that that says happy birthday and then my little cherries I'm going to add a tiny dot of glue I say just put a huge blob on it okay and then my cherries I'm gonna have just going like that oh that's so cute and then I've also got some flowers for this because I've not used flowers for a while and so this one I'm thinking should I go in with pink and then some light brown ones and then I've got some white small pretty little spray of sweetheart blossoms or cherry blossoms okay so I'm going to go in with the pink I'm gonna go into that green because like I said I don't want to introduce another color and I'm gonna add some glue here and then I'm gonna add these first before I add my other flowers like that bit of glue here and then these ones here which are like a really pale brown so I'm sticking with them colors you know them soft creams chocolates and biscuit colors to make these cards look very yummy and add another one just here I'm gonna add one here for the backs are and then I've got these tiny little pink roses and there's a really pale pink I'm just gonna take the backs of these because I don't want any of that green one up here and then probably one here somewhere here maybe just that doesn't matter if you're covering a bit of a letter obviously anyone would anyone can read will see that just says happy birthday and then give these a little squish some dimension to them and then I'm gonna do the same thing with my paintbrush and my Jessel which is still on the lid and I'm gonna get rid of some of the excess go in shabby the flowers up and then put a bit of paint here and there here so I like I really like doing this and I'm going to actually go all the way down with this I love the effect that has and it picks up that white as well okay a bit more here and that is it that is another one of my beautiful cards so I've got two cards that I've done and they're both so yummy looking I love them I love the way they've come out there which is so easy to create love the layers and think a bit more whiteness in here you can always add as much as you like a bit glue string and I think I want to do the same here just go in little bit more that beautiful just sew and get that detail out so those are my cards hope you enjoyed this video sorry it's 30 minutes but I hope you really enjoyed it and let me know what you think so thanks for stopping by I hope you're all having a lovely day and give creating cards at Goldie's was so much fun and you saw how easy it is to construct a card and just use whatever colors you've got I mean when I started my cars I picked out a bunch of cards that I thought look really nice and yummy together and then I went from there these are just massive grabs I probably make a tiger out of these so you can see you know just use whatever you have at hand and mix and match your colors to create whatever color combination you like so that is it for now thank you so much for watching and I'll see you all soon take care bye
