hey guys if you have a ricoh copier with a fax modem kit on it the fax feature and you're looking to program your company name and phone number this video will show you how to do that I'm using an older reco which is a official SP 52:10 SR but the steps in this video should pretty much work on any machine whether it's new or even older than this it's the layout is pretty much the same in my some buttons might just be in different areas but you'll be able to figure it out if you follow this the steps in this video you should be able to figure it out so we need to get to the header section so the way you do that is you would select your user tool counter which would take you to your your user tools page and on the newer machine the smart display you'll have to select your home button and in there you'll find user tool that once you click on user tool you'll get to this screen that you see here so once you're in the screen you're going to look for effects similarly features which is right there once this opens up you have five different tabs you have your general settings scan settings and settings and reception settings you can play around with this if you want later I most people just leave it as default I don't think you would need to change it but you can you can go through this later what you need to do is you got to go to initial settings which is right there initial settings and once you're there you're going to look for program fax information it might be the same wording on the newer machines but if not just it should be something very similar so right here you got three tabs you got your fax header which is what you want then you got your other tab that says other own name I'm sorry it says Oh name on it I don't think you're gonna be using this it's it you can read about it but it has something to do where if the other people have a reco machine with the own name feature on it they'll be able to see your on their screen and vice-versa so they'll be able to see your name when you're sending and when they sent to you and you're receiving you can see their name as well so it's not a popular feature I doubt you're gonna use that but you will use the own fax number so let's let's go ahead and I went ahead and put for my name I went ahead and put test but I'm gonna delete that so you can put anything you want you can put Sam if you like and you hit OK so now you got your first name then on this machine it's got a second name on the newer machines you even have many names as as up to I think up to 39 and it's nice to have the other name the case you have different departments like let's say one of them will be purchasing second one will be accounting and shipping and so forth you get the point so for most a company name is enough so you can just under the first thing you just put your company name then you go over to your own fax number and you'll select you have to select 43 and that pulled up this section so I'm going to select my numbers are right here but if you have a smart display you would touch that or the key or the numbers will already appear on the bottom so you just have depending on how your what model you have you'll be able to figure it out so here I'm just gonna type in 7 1 4 and then you can hit space if you want and any number you want 5 by 5 space 5 5 5 5 and then once you're done you could hit OK so now you have that your your number set there so now you have you have to hit well just you can confirm it just to see if your headers there which it is and then your own number which is there and then you hit exit and exit again excellent one more time and you're good to go so you also want to know you also want to check to see if your fax header set to to show on every facts of what the way you do it is you hit your facsimile button find your facsimile on your then you go to TX mode which is send mode and look for option settings which is right there if you can see that option settings mine's already selected I'm going to select it again and make sure that fax header print is highlighted if it isn't just select that highlight and hit OK hit OK again and then you're back to normal so hopefully this video helped you out and good luck guys
