Fax digital sign gender

thank you for your interest in consensus in this brief demo you will learn about an exciting new interoperability product offered by a j2 global the leader in digital cloud faxing consensus provides unparalleled interoperability with streamlined workflows in an easy-to-use platform that keeps you connected through each patience continuum of care consensus allows you to exchange data from one single inbox like dashboard you can send and receive digital cloud faxes engage in direct messaging with over a million addresses and query for patient data from care equality and Commonwealth through api's you can also connect to hie s and other networks if you don't have any HR no problem if you do you can integrate data into your EHR if you have questions make a note of them and send them to sales at consensus comm and we will respond promptly so what you're looking at is the consensus user interface if you look over here to the left you'll see the various options you have to send and receive electronic documents we're going to take a look at at my intake and everything you see in intake is a message it's your work list or your inbox each row represents a message which can come from any of the networks we mentioned earlier examples include faxes direct messages CDA documents and referrals over here on the right you have some options to control what you really see here and you can control that based on what your focus is you can set up specific rules here this is all customized we've clicked on the option to see all of the incoming messages you can filter down even further here by taking a look at messages that are in progress meaning that they need to be dealt with they haven't been processed or we can look at just process messages we can also look at respondent and deleted so for today's demo we've including the visual or view of what's in progress and what's been processed and we're going to start with processing effects so you can obviously tell this as the facts one of the things you'll notice here is typically there will not be any patient name here so we want to obviously figure out who this patient is and process the documents that are assigned to that patient also shows you how many pages are in this particular facts so we're going to click on the the fax message the first thing we see is the first page a real quick way to see just what is included in this fact is to go over to thumbs we can scroll down and see snapshots of each of the pages with the thumbs option what we're trying to do is figure out how we want to deal with this particular facts so we know there's a fax cover sheet we probably don't need to keep that so we may want to delete that so we'll delete that for the for the demo we also have some other documents here that belong to this particular patient called Myra Jones and we have a few more documents that belongs to a second patient so we've decided that we want to delete this cover page and we want to assign these pages to their respective patient names so to do that we go up to the upper right hand corner here and we select the triage option on this drop-down and this will allow us to sort through all these pages and assign them to the proper patient so what you see here is a unprocessed bucket that includes all the files we just took a look at so as we said we decided we want to delete the first page so we click on that and we're telling consensus that we want to do something with this document you go up to move and we can see it's identified one document that we've clicked on here and we click on move and we drop down to delete and we delete that document now you can see that that document has left unprocessed and now is in a delete bucket down here we also said that we have several documents that belonged to my razones and we need to assign them to her so you can see it's already identified that we're gonna do something with four documents before we do that we need to set Myra Jones up so now we're telling consensus where to send these documents and we want to keep them in my intake because we need to further process them when we're done but you can set up other options if you if you like as well the default message here is the fax number but you can change that also now we want to add Mira's name so now we've set up Myra Jones and we want to hit create and now you see there's a bucket over here for Myra we've identified the documents we want to move to her and we go back up here to move and we see Mira's here now we include the attachments and now we see over here again that those four documents have left unprocessed and now they're in Mira's bucket so we have two more documents to deal with here and the patient in this case is Sally Holmes so we want to tell consensus we would want to do something with these last two you want to go up and set up Sally and we create Sally and we can see we still assign these so consistance know we're doing something with these we go up to move to and now we see Sally here is an option and now we see the last of the unprocessed documents have been assigned to Sally so now we've we've finished processing at least the first step of the inbound fax and we can take a look at this thing before we complete this and make sure everything is correct we have deleted the cover page we figured we've identified several documents that go to each patient but let's say we made a mistake and this last page five actually to Sally we can click on that and go back up and take it to Sally won't make that change now because we know it's not decided to sell it but we can we can correct that mistake if we if we find that we'd made a document mistake and before we actually submit up here or if we really messed up and we want to start from scratch we can go up to reset and reset all the documents back to where they were so we're gonna go up to submit and you can see now it's the consensus is telling us that this batch has been submitted we're still in my intake and now we can see that the files for Sally and the files from Myra have been triaged we're not through with him yet but we've we've triage them to the point where we separated them out so consensus does this very easily and cleanly without any physical handling of pages unlike traditional processing of faxes where you need to print out the fax sort them manually rescan them back into the system and assign them to the patient record so now that we've triage them we want to go back and actually assign them to the patient record so we click on triage and we're looking at their records for Sally I mean I'm sorry from Myra we need to complete this information over here it's defaulted to the patient name but we also need to include a date of birth and the gender and we probably want to include a document type we're going to call this health history we see the attachment here all the attached documents and looks like we're good consensus we'll stop you if there's something that's incomplete then we may see that later on as we go through these these process documents so everything looks in order we want to download it we want to mark it as processed and the message has been marked in processed the download task has been completed let's go back to my intake and we'll see what's changed we can see now that the myra jones fax that we received and those files that were attached to my aura have been processed we still have to triage finish the step with triage with Sally home so we'll click on that we see Sally's informations here but we still need to put date of birth and gender and we'll choose health history again for Sally and everything looks good go back up here to download marketers processed same consistent messages so you see what's happening go back to my intake and now there's no triage documents left they've both been processed both Sally and Myra Jones so now let's take a look at how we process in the electronic document we're gonna go to a previous record we downloaded from Myra and what we're looking at here is a preview tab so this is a CDA document very structured very similar and consistent and something that's standard document format that's exchanged in healthcare so instead of scrolling through this log document and trying to find the information that we're looking for consensus provides you something called a CDA Explorer all the information in that structured document now has been summarized in various categories allergies care plan you see some folders that have no information in them so we can go through here and just make sure that the information we're looking for is here if everything looks good because it's the CDA document and see everything's been populated over here so we don't need to re-enter Mira's date of birth or gender the actual document is here we can add a document history if you want you can add a description if you want to customize this as well and now we go back to download so when we're dealing with a electronic document like a CDA format much faster much quicker and it gets processed because we don't have to go through the triage process okay so we've actually completed a couple examples in my intake we've processed the facts we've triage it we've broken up the patient documents within that fax we've also seen how we can do that a CD or electronic document next thing we're going to look at is with request records so if the document that you were looking for were didn't arrive in my intake and you needed to do something to go out and find it we have a couple options for you the first is document query this is an on-demand live option for healthcare professionals only and it leverages health data networks like common well and carry quality so if you don't have the records you need you can start a search for them here click on query documents we can search for organization name so if we know that Myra recently visited a provider and we're going to use an example here carrying handle edge because we know they exist in this demo and we're going to do a search now one of the things that's important to note here is purpose of use is required and it defaulted to treatment if you didn't choose a purpose of use because this is only for health care professionals consensus would have stopped you and asked you to go back and take care of that so here we are we found a hip for caring hands village and we get next so now we need to tell caring hands village we're who the patient is we're actually looking for us we need to re-enter Mira's information and her date of birth and her gender we also need to include her address and zip okay take a quick look make sure everything is in order date of birth now we click on search you so we have a hit and it looks like the data we entered was accurate because we have a hundred percent confidence that this is the right patient there's his Mary Jones and we see we have a document here click on that document and see if it's the one we're looking for and it is it's a discharge summary from Ira we can preview that make sure it's got everything we're looking for again same format as we saw before with the CDA document various categories of data that's been populated take a look at make sure it's the document we're looking for so it looks like it's in order now we go over to downloading choose a destination again could be customized depending where you wanted to go and we're going to send it to intake to be processed okay so here we go we have a document received from our Jones and it's been processed so let's take a look at another way to retrieve information that we don't have but we didn't have any luck with searching carry quality or common well through the document query option we can try using request records so what we're doing here is we're making an electronic request from a hospital or provider and this request will go into somebody's inbox for later processing similar process we click on request records prove you're in select information if there's no option here we can do a search we'll type in a zip code and we have a couple choices here we're going to get Hospital free its select and it gives us the direct message address here and now we complete the rest of the information from my room and her gender of course and we can go through some eyes just a little bit more depending on what you're looking for in periods of time sense of urgency option to enter some comments here if you want if we know that hospital three is going to require a consent form we can drop down a consent form here if this is complete we hit send and we see that the request has been sent successfully and we've completed that process so now we looked at a couple ways to request information on patients on on demand and a request through hospitals and providers so if you're wondering and how you will send a direct message your fax let's take a look at release so we go up to the new release option here in the upper right hand corner and now what what we're trying to do here is we're going to send a record to a provider so we go through and select type we'll call it transition of care again this is customized for you as well from we can add a fax number here by doing a search so we're searching all the providers in a zip code as we know we know what the zip code is and we see some choices here so we're going to we foot Lisa we find James who we want we're going to send this information to James we select him we collect click select and now we see it's James's direct message address has been populated here so we need to tell James patient information so we go through and include that again as here gender and whatever documents he wants to include here we can drag and drop here multiple documents or if we have some that are appearing here we can select those and drag those over as well we're going to call these originals we're going to hit Send and now we can see here if we in fact just want to send a message or attachments all that'll be here this kind of summarizes what what these these lease process is happening here right now we can add comments to the provider we can add additional internal only comments here as well so this skip this is giving us an option to make sure we're sending what we want we hit confirm and then sent the message was sent successfully and you'll see a history of the messages that were sent date/time any documents that were here okay so the last thing we want to take a look at is the consensus fine provider option so we looked earlier ways to to identify providers that we wanted to release information to a request records from and once we selected that provider to automatically populate that for us this is a general search we're using the national provider directory which is a listing of providers that have agreed to share their electronic direct message address with consensus now normally the only way you can access this directory is if you have your own direct message but through consensus we provide access to you so we're going to do a zip code search here code we could also search by provider name last name organizational name and we can say that all the providers that come up here under that zip code so in this particular view of fine provider we don't have a box to check that automatically populates it so what we what we have here is an option to cut and paste and put it where we need it or save it to our directory for future use so that was a quick look at consensus the only thing I want to mention here is some other functionality here that that we can provide in terms of accessing your own EHR through API integration so we currently integrate with many EHRs and that list is growing every day one of the benefits of a direct integration with consensus in your EHR is higher levels of automation and integration and much more automatic population of patient data so that concludes our demo today you have any questions please email sales at consensus calm
