Fax email signature test
good morning it's Kalei today I'm gonna be answering a question that I get a lot which is how in the world did you make your signature look that way so the first thing that you need to do is I like to draft mine in Microsoft Word instead of Google Docs Google Docs has a lot of unique fonts in it but I knew that personally I've downloaded even more fonts from like some free font websites online and those are saved in my Microsoft Word that I can use just with word products so I drafted mine in Word just so that I would have access to those specific fonts that I wanted to use so you can see here I've just opened a new Microsoft Word document I've typed in my name I changed the color I added some cute little clipart brackets to it and so now this is kind of how I want my signature to look I'm gonna be doing a signature for my personal email today that kind of looks similar to my work email but that's a little bit different so basically you just start by opening a word document you could also draft it in Google Docs if you have some cute fonts in there that you'd like to use just make it look however you want it to look on your screen so for my personal email I just wanted to add my name and maybe some cute little graphics with it so this is what I'm designed so now you can see my cursor still blinking here so I'm gonna go ahead and enter that down a little bit here's what we're gonna do next is we're gonna take a screenshot of our design so that we get an image of it instead of just copying the font that way that we know for sure that our fonts even on computers that don't have these fonts installed since we're saving it as an image they're still gonna be able to see those fonts so I always just make sure that my cursor arrow and my cursor line are out of the way and now I'm gonna take a screenshot right now I'm on my Mac so I have a specific keyboard shortcut that I use to take a screenshot laptops probably have the same thing if you're on a school computer or a school laptop or desktop you can use the snipping tool which you can get to in your Start menu if you're not sure where that is you can even search for snipping tool on your computer so you just need to take a screenshot just of the part of your image that you want to use in your signature so I've highlighted around it I click off of it and it saves my screenshot so now that I've got my image saved I'm ready to go into my email and change my settings there so I'm going to open my personal email go into my settings and settings again once that loads in I'm on the general tab here that's where I can get to my signature and right now if I scroll down you can see that I do not currently have a signature I've got no signature selected so I'm going to toggle on this bubble here so that I could actually insert a signature and then what I want to do is I want to insert that image that I just took from that screenshot of what I designed is my signature so I'm going to click there I'm going to upload it because my screenshots saved to my actual computer I'm going to upload a file and let's see here is my desktop that's where my screenshots are saved your screenshots might save to a different location they may save to your pictures or maybe if you're especially using the snipping tool you can decide where you save your screenshot to so you just need to be able to find the screenshot the image that you took of your signature design select it and then open it it's going to upload that image and then it's gonna pop it in to your signature box you can select it and change the size so you can make it small medium or large or keep it the original size sometimes you might have to play around with it leave it as the original size scroll down and save your changes and then you can even send yourself a test email and say oh well that's a little too large let's get out of there let's go back into my settings I want it to be a little bit smaller because that's taking up a lot of room down there just for my name so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go back in click it again maybe I just want it to be a medium size I'll save my changes test it again okay that looks much better so hopefully this helps just draft it inward take yourself a screen shot and insert it into your signature using that image button thanks guys
