hey everybody happy new year ryan lallier here ceo and founder of salesgevity also the founder of sailmail today i'm just going to walk you through a nice and easy and simple way to add different signatures to your outbound prospecting sales emails follow-up emails marketing emails you name it anytime you're sending out an email it is really important to not necessarily display or articulate what your title is but more so who you are and what you actually do just like on your linkedin profiles many of the experts out there advise us to not put in our tagline our title but to actually do our best to explain the value that we give to our prospects and customers and the value that they'll receive just by having a conversation with us and best case if they do business with us so the same should apply when sending out emails and gmail offers this amazing feature that essentially gives you the chance to build as many email signatures as you want and you can swap them out based on the recipient or in this case the persona your buyer persona so here you can see i have an email that i'm about to send out to advertise our latest offering which is sale mail which is a service that allows sales professionals and marketing professionals to have their emails proofread scanned and optimized before they click send so essentially we want to help them get us close to achieving a really good piece of content so that they can achieve their desired income outcome and whether that is a meeting just a yes or no maybe it's a pricing request or handling an objection we want to take a look at those emails before you click send so i'm going to send this email off for christina the subject line is the emails you're sending so hopefully that gets a pretty good a pretty good open rate and it's just a very general message pretty straightforward explains what we do offers a free trial and gives a little bit of a product plug at the end there but who is this email going to who is christina what does christina do and remember it's not about who i know necessarily it's not about what my job title is it's about who i am and what i do so in this case i'm just going to step in here and put my my cursor and then if you click this little pen icon here on insert signature you're going to see i have five or four different signatures that i can swap in and out based on a persona so let's say christina is a cio i can click on my cio persona and you'll notice here that i'm ryan lallier and i'm the advisor to cios there's just my email maybe she is in the finance profession so maybe i want to align myself and just simply say i'm the director of the finance vertical and that could be the finance vertical for sales or i could swap out and go with a marketing persona as well if christina happens to be a cmo vp of marketing or director of marketing and instead of saying that i'm a business development rep or an account executive in this case i'm helping marketing leaders write better emails and last but not least those that are closest to my heart are going to be those vps of sales and of course all of those sales professionals out there let's say i'm sending this email to a vp of sales my tagline is going to say helping vps of sales survive their first six months so right away i'm developing a little bit of street cred here i'm letting that vp of sales know that if you talk to me i'm going to help you increase your chances of surviving your first six months as a vp of sales so go ahead create as many of these signatures as you see fit based on the buyer personas the markets and in the industries that you sell to and remember it's not who you know is who you are so when you send these emails it's really important for people to look at your signatures and get a sense of who you are what you do and what value am i going to get the recipient if i decide to reply back to this email good luck give this a try let me know what you think thanks a lot
