great great for the economy also yes it is yes it is good good to check out if there's a shower during the afternoon will be good to be inside that's watching the basketball right let's take a look at to be doing on the week yeah so Emily thank you so much right now in Chattanooga skies are cloudy as Paul Roberts's mentioned his traffic report as he's been looking around yeah a lot of patchy fog out there i 75 a problem spot in some other areas there were reports of fog for pain a mile and a quarter visibility that's what it's been reduced to at the Isbell Airport 75 right now in Dalton 72 Dayton and 72 here in Chattanooga some upper 60s showing up at Rome and also in Murphy here's a peek first of all at the local not a whole lot happening there were a few showers of the early morning hours but the showers out to our East have begun to fade out but Blue Ridge blairsville Murphy you're still seeing a few showers not that heavy but they are going to be moving down to the south and east and across the region this morning really nothing heavy going on most of the showers have pushed to our East were Charlotte to Raleigh couple of more showers over South Alabama and back over western Tennessee we've got a cold front and we talked about this in detail yesterday on how whether or not this front would drop down to the south far enough and right now is almost sitting right on top of Chattanooga it's not a strong front so we didn't see any severe weather out of it even though there were some strong downpours and range yesterday especially in ray county but most of the most of the showers of this front have not been strong and they are pushing on off to the east right now this front will drop down to the South probably to about the Atlanta area and then during the day tomorrow I'll move back to the north so it's going to act like a boomerang because of that we have to keep a chance of mainly afternoon showers in the forecast not an all-day rain but anytime you get a little lift with the front and daytime heating you'll get those scattered afternoon showers and that's definitely what we're going to see some effects from that front have been some cooler temperatures now across the Northeast if you think we've been hot up across the Northeast they've had heat advisories out because the temperatures have been in the upper 90s close to 100 from Washington DC all do it in New York and even this morning they are still warm but there are signs of cooler weather for them it'd be nice if we can see some of that but I don't think we're going to our temperatures should stay in the 70s for most of the morning hours the next several days as a very warm muggy air mass holds on to the southeast and the radar screen right now across the region again doesn't show you much happening mostly rain to our East but thankfully nothing severe forecast chart shows you that front dipping down to the south just a little bit by tomorrow morning and then during the day tomorrow it will lift back to the north as a warm front so what this means again is will see our best chances for showers during the afternoon hours other than that will see a mixture of Sun and clouds in typical summertime weather temperatures will remain in the 80s mid 80s for today upper 80s tomorrow and these 90s are not far away they'll probably move on in here for the early part of next week so for today it is going to be partly cloudy warm and humid a chance of mainly afternoon thundershowers highs around 86 chance of rain only to about thirty percent for tonight skies becoming partly cloudy some patchy fog through the early morning hours lows near 71 tomorrow look for a high back in the upper 80s with a chance of mainly an afternoon shower here's her extended outlook for sunday all the way through wednesday and really not an all-day rain coming up just scattered afternoon showers and I really think by Monday and Tuesday our chances for rain go down and the temperature is going to be heating up mid 80s to the weekend upper 80s close to 90 by Wednesday so all in all not a bad weekend coming up your outdoor plans I you know let's take a break for a little while with the rain but that's not that bad all right and not a bad weekend to have a birthday to the solutes I'm gonna tell you one more thing yeah fourth of July that's the prediction of people are partly sunny partly sunny highs in the upper 80s and a chance for an afternoon shower so what you see today what to see fourth of July not too bad too bad all right hey here is Elizabeth kiker and she
