hello and welcome back to the calculator review hosted on calc wind calm today I have the innovation best quality citizen electronic human tech CT 512 with a hundred and twelve steps check big display to waste power mu zero zero key multiplication division addition subtraction and twelve digits in its new packaging yet one hundred percent original that was a mouthful so this calculator obviously comes from China I've got it on eBay for about four bucks and I have never actually taken it out of its packaging this arrived and I decided I wanted to keep it completely contained before I actually took it out and that way you viewers would be able to experience this for the first time along with me so my hopes are not very high so plenty calculator out and here we are okay so initial reaction pretty nice actually I really like the feel of this it's got a really nice it's got like a rough texture rough black texture that just really works for the overall look the display is absolutely crisp as you can see very very clean looks like we've got some plastic here to peel off to at least I hope that's supposed to be peeled off it's hard to tell it's coming out yeah okay oh yeah I almost feel bad taking this off but okay that looks even better now oh okay so far so good well looks like the Solar thing could be cleaned up a bit but I'm wondering if that's even real this does say it's dual powered so you're gonna have to get on the inside of it so it feels like very sturdy plastic putting a bit of pressure on it its weakest toward the middle which is not unexpected but it's kind of weird that they wouldn't bother to reinforce that so yeah let's get on the inside of this thing and my kit and gas cleaning supplies in case I can clean up that solar thing I'm not gonna bother cleaning it if it's a fake solar cell punch considering the price of this I wouldn't be surprised if it's fake but there'll be a real shame because this is a pretty nice looking calculator I would hate for it to be deceptive in fact I would rather they just not pretend that it's solar-powered but I'm getting ahead of myself here now right so it's just these two screws it looks like so let's see if you can pry this thing up I've got a little tool I've been using lately to pry it open so I don't cause any damage and find you here okay so I use this little uh I have this little brush and I don't use the brush part of it I figured what I think this came from my haircutting kit or something I don't know but it has this really handy wedge here that has been fantastic for opening up calculators so I'm gonna use that here lets me really get inside of it without causing any damage and I really like that so okay I came it came apart fairly nicely oh boy okay so there's the battery I'm gonna take that out real quick alright that's an aging ten figure what the LR version of that is but before I go - oh alright so I have full light on this and I'm starting to think that that solar things yeah that thing isn't real see find it the way into it really don't want to damage this calculator at first I thought I wouldn't care but I love the way this thing looks I'm actually rooting for it to be oh what a shame [Applause] that sucks that really genuinely sucks so if you're not seeing what I'm so upset about this solar cell is absolutely 100% fake this does not connect to the board does not supply any power it is there purely as a lie and why why citizens I don't think that's the real name of the company that made this because I think citizen makes watches so I think they're trying to capitalize on that name I don't know but why why fake company fake Chinese company that sold this calculator for four dollars with free shipping from Hong Kong breaking my heart and oh okay so yeah the buttons are all falling out now yeah they don't really stay in place all that well I'm gonna get these put back in place now actually before I do that if you look closely you can actually see this is literally just a painted piece of plastic there's Sue's it's exposed to light you can see all the little flaws in it now this sucks I I'm really upset about this this is just kind of heartbreaking I thought I was going to be able to review a cheap calculator from China and give it a glowing review but anyway I'm gonna put these back in I'm gonna speed up time so that you don't have to sit and watch cuz that's kind of unnecessary so speed up now you the calculator is now reassembled and I don't really want to continue on with this review but I'm going to because of these buttons the check correctly GT Auto replay I don't know what anyone's do so there's nothing there's no manual that came with us so let's get this thing started all right so a TA check just +33 okay so that's kind of neat actually it's oh it's got memory that lets you go back and yeah looks like you can actually undo certain things so that's kind of kind of a neat feature so b5 a plus 1 for 7 plus 3 minus 2 etc so do the auto replay and it's actually a pretty cool feature Wow I really like that it's the auto replay is a really cool feature I have not seen on a cheap calculator before but I like it a lot and I assume that the correct elite will let you actually remove faulty calculations that's real shame I cannot recommend this simply because this does call itself to weigh power in fact just to be sure yes on the packaging it does indeed say to weigh power it says it right on the calculator to power this is fake 100% fake why citizen fake citizen I'm sorry so I just discovered just realize this you might have realized this before it's actually not citizen it's that almost looks like a G but it's CIT ll ze n so that's it'll then that's bizarre that they must have done that to avoid a lawsuit or something because they're clearly trying to capitalize on a citizen brand oh that's bizarre this is a weird calculator so so this is cool the Auto replay actually shows you the number of the calculation that has such a cool feature almost almost makes up for the fake solar panel almost but you know my stance on that then yeah 2 square root 2 times 2 square root so yeah I assume that it can do 112 steps backwards which is pretty impressive for such a standard type of calculator yeah a very very unique feature you know for so sits pulls in or get tools then whatever whoever you are who made this calculator I beg of you please either just remove this solar this fake solar panel altogether just have this nice and flat put some put another button there I don't care just just get rid of this or make it a working solar panel you do one of those things and rerelease this calculator and get back to me I'll buy one and I will give this a glowing review because I really want to love this calculator so badly okay because it's very well designed it's got great buttons I mean for four dollars you really can't do much better than this I mean I'm just kind of in a state of disbelief here well yeah so that's the sit olsen CT 512 with check and correct calculator so the only Y here is the two-way power but that's a big lie anyway I hope you enjoyed this review and I hope your life is wonderful good bye
