hey guys this is buck got the new Honda pro connect box for the rear here I had a 16 Rubicon before this is a new feature of the 2020 insta Pro Connect system and this is what I was using I did kind of want a hard box for West Virginia trail riding when I do a two or three day trip however if I'm back at home I don't want to ride around with that big box because a hunting season rolls around I might want to be I put a deer on the back a chainsaw baby actually utilize the rack both in the box and the universal options were typically a Bolton job that was kind of a process to take on and off and didn't really want to deal with that hassle so that's why I ended up with this keep my rain jacket here that sort of stuff in here and it worked pretty good it's just a Walmart special nothing crazy or pricey and they just had the quick connects here eventually I've replaced a couple of these over three years just eventually ripping and stuff I do quite a bit of trail riding so I'm kind of definitely test out the year probably one or two stores no coming apart on this but noon or two you got that on and off not that big a deal worked what I had the new Pro Connect has got these squares I'm sure it's going to be quite a bit of aftermarket stuff coming out form but this is the Honda box here it's got four tie-downs up top and this would probably nice if you had a rain bag tent something like that you went though a little bungee across do not expect to put a 20 quart Yeti filled to the brim and these hold up they have some flex to them I would not expect them for a serious weight rating for straps and stuff on top of the box here latches are pretty simple it's two latches you have two option here too if you want put a little lock or something out on this is a rubber setup so somebody really want to be dishonest or cut into it they could I wish they had done some type of metal connection here but the rubber does seem fairly durable so I hope that's not an issue on the road the box opens up a little bit past nine degrees pretty easy get some stuff in here decent amount of storage works perfect for the kind of thing that I wanted for the key to this lock in out is two little pieces here when you go to somewhat there's a little rubber piece that you'll put in right below here and there's a clip on the other side I'll show you here in a minute simply all you have to do and I've got my phone here so I'm literally doing this all one hand and for some reason mine didn't come with instructions I just forgot to do it on the first couple one so you're gonna bolt this piece on it's fairly simple two little bolts there and then this here there's a little retaining clip that's gonna go on this side and that's so when you release the strap this doesn't just go bouncing around inside the box and you can't find it same thing for this alright reinstall that front two just like so thinks they're pretty easy and then you're just gonna click the two down so you leave literally just seen how quick and easy it is as far as connect/disconnect that's the whole idea behind the system and I really like the seal here it feels like a foam material got a little separation there but with the recess I don't think this is gonna be any type of problem as far as Brian in the rain keeping your gear dry I think this is gonna do a good job what that kind of do wish that Honda did is if they would have made the Box go back four they gave you a little bit more storage option or maybe utilize these back one's I'll do quite a bit of trail run so if this unit comes apart bounces on the trail latches snap off I'll give an update for that but just like what you seen with the bags I'll have that same type of year in here so probably come say maybe 40 ish pounds of stuff the part number if you needed to look it up the box is about 350 retail and that's part number there had time finding the part number but my local Honda shall presume to order it for me once I did get the part number but yeah they pro connect if I run across anything new or different on I'll definitely go up to eight but there you go
