wounded to death and his deadly wound was healed and all the world wandered after the beast and they noticed worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast and they worshipped the beast saying who is like unto the beast who is able to make war with him so this is speaking of entities that shall receive worship from the whole world first they shall worship the dragon and they will also worship the beast that has received power from the dragon who is this beast that receives worship from the whole world who is this dragon that is also worshiped and gives power to the beast the first answer is very clear revelation 12 9 tells us who the dragon is and the great dragon was cast out an old serpent called the devil and saturn which deceiveth the whole world was cast out into the earth clearly is saturn now who is the beast who gets power and authority from saturn revelation 13 verse 2 says and the beast which i saw was like unto a leopard and his feet were as the feet of a bear and his mouth as the mouth of a lion and the dragon gave him his power his seat and great authority now the key is that we need to unlock the symbols which would help us identify who the beast is we've already used some of the keys in the lesson 15 beasts horns and the son of man you may need to revisit that presentation that's lesson 15 beasts horns and the son of man there's a lot of prophetic keys that are given to us which we started in that lesson and so we'll assume that as we're going to this uh lesson 23 as we proceed these keys are known to us who have gone through that lesson but we will just look and paraphrase and summarize some of the keys a beast is a kingdom according to daniel 7 verse 17 and verse 23 so that's the first key when we see a beast a beast represents a kingdom next we notice that this beast of revelation 13 comes out of the sea we saw that the sea represents a lot of people that comes from revelation 17 15. therefore this beast that is spoken of in revelation 13 that receives power from saturn is a kingdom that arose in a densely populated area just like the beast of dan chapter 7 as we notice in verse 3 of daniel chapter 7. now the beast of revelation 13 verse 2 is com is a composite beast it has characteristics of different beasts it includes characteristics from the leopard it's one mainly a leopard its body is of a leopard it has the feet of a bay and the mouth of a lion these are the same beasts that we studied in daniel 7 these beasts represent the kingdoms of greece that is the leopard the kingdom of medio persia which is represented by the bay and the kingdom of babylon which is represented by the lion please go back to lesson 15 to get more in-depth uh explanations of this of of this revelation therefore the beast of revelation 13 has the characteristics of greece medo persia and babylon it is important to know that daniel saw these kingdoms from a futuristic viewpoint in other words when daniel saw these beasts the lion the bear and the leopard daniel was seeing these beasts as taking place yet future and the beast that was in power when daniel saw the vision of daniel chapter 7 was the lion after the lion was going to be the kingdom of medio persia and after mediocre you'll find it was going to be succeeded by greece so you find lion beam and leopard but when we go to revelation the prophet john is not seeing these beasts in the sequence of future kingdoms that are still yet to come when john saw this vision he was seeing the kingdoms historically and from his standpoint the nearest kingdom that was nearer to john would be obviously greece because it was greece that came up last before the time that john saw this vision jordan saw this vision in the time of pagan rome and so the leopard the kingdom of greece is nearest to him in time before greece was the kingdom of medio persia the bay that is what was a bit further from the time of john and then lastly the kingdom that was furthest from the time of john is the kingdom of babylon and hence you'll notice that in revelation chapter 13 john sees the sequence in reverse order he sees the characteristics of the leopard and then he sees the characteristics of the bay and then he sees the characteristics of the lion that's how we are able to see that john and daniel saw the same powers but from different standpoints and hence in different sequence lion bay leopard for daniel but for john it is leopard the lion now let's go back to revelation 13. looking at verse 3 it says and i saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death and his deadly wound was healed and all the world wandered after the beast the entity of revelation 13 verse 2 lost its authority but it will be regained and shall once again dominate as the world superpower commanding every nation regardless of religion whether christian or atheist or islam regardless of ideology with a capitalist or communist regardless of economic development whether it's the first world or the third world the bible tells us that all nations all people shall be obedient to this power and thus this prophecy is relevant to you and i my dear brothers and sisters the bible then shows us what this power did before it received its deadly word before it lost its authority when you go to revelation 13 verse 46 it says and they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast they worshiped the beast saying who is like unto the beast who is able to make war with him and there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies and powers given unto him to continue forty and two months and he opened his mouth and blasphemy against god to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven the text continues in verse 7 to 10 and says and was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them and power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and nations and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world if any man have an ear let him hear he that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity and he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword ye is the patience and the faith of the saints now which beast is this that fulfills this characteristics well the following points that we are going to highlight make it clear that the first beast of revelation 13 is the same as the little horn of daniel chapter 7. so this first beast of revelation chapter 13 receives its power and authority from saturn this first beast of revelation 13 is the same as the little horn of daniel chapter seven we repeat once again that this lesson lesson 23 usa in the counterfeit signature or usa and the unauthorized signatory will fully and truly make sense if we have looked at daniel 7 if we've gone through lesson 15. and so we'll just summarize some of the points that we covered in lesson 15 looking at the little horn of daniel chapter seven like the little one in daniel 7 verse 25 this beast in revelation 13 5 to 6 speaks great blasphemies like the little horn of daniel 7 25 which ruled and persecuted god's people for a prophetic three and a half years which is a literal 1260 years the first beast of revelation 13 5 and 7 ruled and persecuted god's people for 42 months which is the same as a prophetic three and a half years representing 1260 literal years now once again we would encourage you to revisit lesson 15 beast haunt and the son of man once let it hap once that is done it will be clear to you that the little horn of daniel 7 and the first beast of revelation chapter 13 are the same power it is purple rome or the papacy or the roman catholic church system of worship we speak of the system of worship and not the individual worshippers within the system for no individual has lived for 1260 years that's just one example why we are looking at the system of worship but not the individuals also it is very clear that individuals can go into the system and individuals can come out of the system so this prophecy of daniel chapter 7 and this lesson of lesson 23 looking at revelation 13 is focusing on the system we're not looking at the catholic worshipers themselves we're not looking at the adherence to the catholic faith while looking at the system of worship now moving back to our lesson in daniel 7 we looked at how the papacy lost its power in 1798 but we did not go into depth as to how the purple power lost its power in 1798 however this is explained in revelation 13 verse 10 which we shall consider in daniel 7 we saw clearly that the papacy rose to world dominion after the extermination of the vandals the heruli and the ostrogoths these are the three horns that uprooted daniel chapter seven and they're uprooted as the purple power came into prominence and took the seat of world dominion this was achieved when the pope enlisted the government or whether it's a monarchy the power of the day that holds civil or state authority the bible says the soul should be subject unto the higher powers and when paul was writing this rome and obedient to this otherwise brutal government attacks continues for there is no power but of god the powers that be are ordained of god whosoever therefore resisteth the power resistance the possesses the sword is the one who is possessing state authority now when we go back to revelation chapter 13 it shows that the papacy used the sword the papacy used state or civil authority the purpose used government to establish and maintain its power holding people captive as well as killing any that stood for the word of god symbolically he led many into captivity and killed with the sword the irony is that in 1798 france led by napoleon dispatched general berthier who entered rome on 10 february and where he took the pope captive on 20 february 1798 this act ended the state-enforced public dominion so it is a government that came to the pope and brought an end to the pope's authority it was a sword that came and cut off the pope's ability to use the sword and hence bringing an end to papal dominion now clearly it was the power of the state that had established papal supremacy as a political power and it was the power of the state that ended public supremacy as well as ending its civil authority now as long as the church and state were combined the pope the pope reigned supreme the blow from france ended purple authority as a world political power the state of france inflicted a deadly wound which was unto death symbolically a sword killed purple dominion as well as civil power this is a fulfillment of the prophecy in revelation 13 verse 10 which says he that leadeth into captivity speaking of the pope shall go into captivity and he that killeth by the sword speaking of the pope must be killed by the sword here is the patience the faith saints so from 1798 the roman catholic church remained in existence but it had lost its power of civil authority it has not been a state with global dominion and so in the prophetic symbolism it ceased to be a beast it ceased to be a kingdom it had received its deadly fatal wound so a beast represents a government it represents a kingdom but a beast does not represent a church so once the roman catholic church sees to exercise global authority over different governments it now was now limited to playing the role of a church and thus it's ceased to bear the sword of world dominion there is a beast power it had received a deadly wound the bible then shows that the papacy represented by the first beast of revelation 13 vacated the seat of world dominion and then another beast or another nation rose to power so as the beast was declining as the first beast was declining in power and as it received the deadly wound that limited its world dominion there we find in revelation 13 a prophecy that another kingdom would be rising to prominence revelation 13 verse 11 says and i beheld another beast coming up out of the earth and he had two horns like a lamb and he spake as a dragon this second beast of revelation 13 can be identified by considering its characteristics so when you look at revelation 13 you'll find clearly that the first beast that receives power from the dragon points to none other than the roman catholic system of worship but revelation 13 then says after the roman catholic system of worship loses its civil authority on a global scale another power another beast will be rising to prominence and revelation 13 gives us the characteristics of this second kingdom that comes into prominence as the first beast as a roman catholic system of worship loses its power notice what the bible tells us the second beast rose to prominence in 1798 or soon after 1798 after the first beast had received its deadly wound this is because the first beast lost its power in 1798 and saw the second beast steps onto the world stage in that year or soon after that year the second beast comes out of the earth revelation 17 verse 15 tells us that water means a densely populated area therefore earth must be symbolic of the opposite which tells us that the nation represented by the second beast was established and flourished in an area that originally was sparsely populated this second beast has two horns as a lamb daniel 7 verse 24 tells us that a horn is a kingdom and habakkuk 3 verse 4 tells us that horns represent the source of power we covered this in lesson 15 therefore my brother my sisters the second beast of revelation 13 has two pillars as the source of its power in addition these two horns or pillars are like those of a lamb where we know that a lamb is a symbol of jesus in other words my brother my sisters this second beast had two sources of power resembling powers recognized by jesus himself we then asked ourselves which two powers did jesus recognize when we bring all these clues together we will have a clear picture of who the second beast is as described in revelation 13. so now let's look at the two horns the two powers that jesus recognized matthew 22 21 says they say unto him caesar's then saith he unto them render therefore unto caesar the things which are caesar's and unto god the things that are god's so caesar was a world ruler at that stage and jesus was saying when it comes to the things of caesar when it comes to the government of this earth give to them that which is theirs that which they claim give to caesar that which is caesar's because caesar has authority caesar has claims claims which we ought to honor but jesus did not stop thee he then pointed out another kingdom which we ought to obey and which has its claims and which has its jews and this is the kingdom of god and jesus then says and to god the things that are god so we have the kingdom of caesar or the government of this earth and with the kingdom of god let's go to john 18 verse 36 jesus answered my kingdom is not of this world if my kingdom were of this world then would my servants fight that i should not be delivered to the jews but now is my kingdom not from hence so christ is recognizing that they are kingdoms of this world they are kingdoms in this world and he recognizes it but he then says look but my kingdom is not of this world my kingdom is that of god so it differentiates the truth the kingdom of this world and the kingdoms of heaven those are two powers the power of the horn of caesar and the power of the horn of god it is clear then that jesus recognized a spiritual or religious kingdom as well as a physical geopolitical kingdom or civil kingdom jesus came that his kingdom was a religious kingdom and he never interfered with the civil kingdom even though rome was cruel and brutal and corrupt it was the power that ruled at that time and yet jesus did not interfere with that kingdom because it was not his kingdom things that are caesar's belong to caesar the things that are god belong to god therefore the church and the civil powers should be separate the things that pertain to the kingdom of god the things that pertain to the kingdoms of this world should be kept separate and should not be mingled from its inception before the 1800s the second beast would be a country that upholds the principles of the separation of church and state which implies that the state would have no power to force people to adhere to any religious practice so if we want to understand and if we want to identify the second beast of revelation 13 we need to look for a kingdom or a government that came up from the earth and that recognized the two horns which are lamb like the two horns that jesus said look i appreciate and i understand and i recognize these two horns the kingdom of the state the kingdoms of this world the civil of authority of this earth and the kingdom of heaven the separation between church and state and the kingdoms of this old would not be able to enforce people to obey any religious activity because the kingdoms of this world have nothing to do with the things of god and otherwise and the church would not use government to enforce its dogmas the two should be separate the good thing about this is it allows people to worship god according to the dictates of their own conscience this is what you call freedom of worship religious liberty where you can worship whoever you want however you want and you are not imprisoned you are not fined you are not forced you are worshiping it because you choose to worship that way at that time this was radical because the world powers especially rome would punish people for differing with them on religious issues civil penalties such as imprisonment were muted out to those who would have religious convictions different from the official state religion this new form of government represented by the second beast would guarantee its citizens that they would practice their religious convictions as long as they would not result in them violating the civil rights of others eg no religion would be outlawed all religions would be legal within its territory but no one would be allowed to kill someone in the name of religion so you're free to worship in whichever way that you want as long as you do not infringe upon the rights the populist region of europe symbolized as many waters the usa rose to power from the sparsely populated region of america represented as rising out of the earth so so far it's a perfect fulfillment the usa was the first nation to guarantee its citizens the freedom of worship by separating church and state this feature was embedded in its constitution under the first amendment which states in speak as a dragon we have identified that the dragon is certain so we are finding here that the bible is telling us that america will speak as saturn would have a satanic speech but for us to understand what this prophecy is we need to ask the question what does it mean for a nation to speak how does a nation speak we need to consider an example found in the bible in numbers chapter 20 where israel sought permission to pass through the land of edom and so israel sent representatives to the king of edom why were representatives sent to the king of endor because the king of edom was the law maker of edom at that time if the people of israel if the children of israel were going to pass through they had to receive permission from the lawmaker of that time who was the king of edom and thus the king of edom himself was obviously the one who responded to the delegation that was sent from israel now let's then turn our attention to numbers 20 18. it says and edom said now edom here is referring to the nation of edom where there were many people but here it tell it is telling us that an edom said clearly it is not everyone who spoke simultaneously at the same time how did edom speak numbers 20 verse 18 says and edom speak unto him thou shalt not pass by me lest i come out against thee with the sword the nation of edom spoke when the law maker of edom spoke prohibiting the israelites from passing through their territory the principle we learn here is that a nation speaks through its laws or legislative structure that's our nation speaks when a nation says you can do this or you can't do that by enacting laws it is true that means that we find a nation speaking so we then go back to revelation 13 how does the second beast how does the usa speak well the united states speaks when congress the law-making entity in america makes a law so when congress makes a law that is america speaking but what kind of law or what nato of laws will congress pass to effectually cause america to speak as a dragon we are reading here that the second beast will speak as a dragon will speak in a satanic man and a nation speaks when its law making body enacts a law so if america is going to speak as a dragon it has to make laws that are satanic that are in harmony with the spirit of the dragon what is what are some of the characteristics of the dragon what are some of the characteristics of satan so that when we hear satanic speech we're able to recognize that this is from saturn revelation 12 17 says and the dragon was wrath with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed which keep the commandments of god and have the testimony of jesus christ and therefore clearly it is satanic to attack the commandments of god so whenever we find a nation or an entity speaking against the law of god by enacting laws that are contrary to the commandments of god therein we find the speech of the dragon so the bible is telling us that america will begin to enact laws that are contrary to the commandment of god it is there that we find america speaking as a dragon lesson 27 god's true church of the last days we are going to study more on who the woman is and who the remnant of a seat is but at this stage we can see that the dragon hates the commandments of god as well as the testimony of jesus therefore the united states will make laws of the same nature which persecute those who are obedient to the laws of god in the testimony of jesus whilst it is lamb-like and correct for congress to not make a law with regards to religion it is incorrect and dragon like to make laws that call us citizens to violate god's law let's consider an example it is within god's law to sell or provide food to a liar a thief prostitute or murderer we can give them food however to conscientiously supply individuals with material to deliberately transgress god's law is a sin let's look at one example to prove this if you're a christian hotel owner and you know that a married man wants to book a room with a woman who is not his wife for the night in your hotel then in obedience to god you are duty bound to refuse to assist him in committing the neither be partaker of another man's sins keep a self sure so um someone can commit sin but we are to distance ourselves from that person who's committing sin when we assist them when we take part in that and though we may not actually commit the sin itself we are a partaker of that man's sin if we allow he married men if we conscientiously knowingly allow a married man to book a room in your hotel with another woman who is not his wife you may not be committing the act of adultery but you are a partaker of that adulterous act and you will not be pure in the same light god detests homosexuality it is christian to sell or even give homosexuals food and clothing it is christian to provide them with transport for in these things you're not consciously directing or assisting them in the act of homosexuality however if a gay couple wants to buy a house to live in with together or if they come to you wanting to buy a wedding cake for themselves then as a christian you should refuse to assist them in this sin for marriage is for one man and one woman it is in this that we find an example of how the united states is beginning to speak as a dragon there are christians who were fined for refusing to provide goods and services that would be used in direct support of homosexuality we have christians who are saying according to their content according to their study of the bible homosexuality is wrong once we are to love homosexuals to help them with food and clothing to provide them with transport they according to this to the study of the bible did not consider it right to uphold or to promote homosexuality through promoting the marriage of same-sex people and they were punished for that that is how america was speaking as a dragon for example jack phillips a christian was taken to court for refusing to make wedding cakes for a gay couple's weird phillips had even shown his willingness to sell them other baked goods but he said look i can sell you the baked goods there's no problem with that but he was convicted that marriage is strictly for one man and one woman and so he couldn't sell a wedding cake that would to a people with openly contradicting the teaching of the bible and he took his case to court and he lost it in the colorado supreme court they judged in favor of the gay couple and he was punished for refusing to sell the gay couple the wedding cake another example is sweet cakes by melissa she was also fined 135 000 us dollars for refusing to sell a wedding cake to a lesbian couple so here we find in america are laws that are forcing people to go contrary to their conscience to go contrary to their duty to god and this is how america is beginning to speak as a dragon all this my brother my sisters is as a result of the federal supreme court ruling that homosexuals are given the same right of equality in marriage this is contrary to the law of god the lamb like this is only beginning to speak as a drugger so my brother my sisters this is only but the beginning it's going to get worse is this but as this bible study is going to reveal let's continue to revelation 13 verse 12 and he exercises all the power of the first beast before him and causes the earth and them which dwell there in to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed here the bible is showing that the usa will exercise the same power as the first beast which is the roman catholic system of worship and the usa will use this power to force the whole world to worship the first beast or to worship the pope is was done during the dark ages so remember the pope was a global power because it had the support of civil or state authority this is how it managed to maintain dominion during the dark ages the pope received a deadly wound when he was stripped of the support of civil power this took place in 1798 therefore the bible is telling us that the usa a civil power with world influence will re-empower the papacy thereby healing its deadly wound revelation 13 verse 13 says and he doeth great wonders so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on earth in the sight of men this is speaking of what shall be taking place in america we will consider this verse when we deal with false prophets in lesson 25 believe his prophets part one we'll go on to the next verse in revelation 13 relation 13 verse 14 and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast saying to them that dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast which had the wound by a sword and did live so yeah america is going to command the world to make an image to the beast in other words the usa will lead the world to create an institution that is similar to the purple system that had world dominion during the dark ages the usa will lead the world to unite a church and state system on a global scale the purple system had dominion when church and state were united in the same manner the usa would be the driving force behind the world political systems coming together to enforce a world wide religion this worldwide use of civil power to enforce specified religious behavior is the image of the beast it's exactly what the roman catholic church did in the dark ages and this is going to be repeated in these last days when the government of this world are going to force people to uphold a specific religious teaching and to follow a particular religious behavior i remember my brother my sisters let us keep in mind that the usa will be speaking as a dragon that is it will be commanding the whole world to break the law of god because revelation 12 17 tells us that the dragon hates the commandments of god so when america enacts the image of the beast it is going to force the world to go contrary to the law of god it shall be speaking as a dragon the files that we've just noted under the lgbt controversies in favor of homosexuality which is contrary to the commandments of god are but a foretaste of things to come revelation 13 verse 15 to 17 gives us further foresight of what is going to take place and he had power to give life unto the image of the beast that the image of the beast should both speak and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed and because of all both small and great rich and poor free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their forehead and that no man might buy or sell save he that had the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name as is being done in the lgbt plus controversy this this refers to the controversy amongst homosexuals and lesbians and transgender people laws will be enacted and punitive action will be taken against those who want to obey god the image of the beast the institution that unites church and state will impose economic sanctions on all who refuse to worship the pope or the image of the purple system if economic sanctions and imprisonment fail to dissuade them from their faithfulness to jehovah then the death penalty will be commanded against them those that will desire financial activity such as buying food buying clothing purchasing medicine or want to sell and labor so as to generate an income will have to receive the mark of the beast now what is the mark of the beast it is clear that the beast being referred to is the roman catholic system of worship when empowered by civil authority to enforce its doctrines upon the people it is therefore logical to ask the roman catholic church what is its mark of authority here my brother and sisters it's logical and it's fair the bible tells us that the roman catholic system of worship is the first beast of revelation 13 that has been made here but this first beast of revelation 13 shall be worshipped after america commands the whole world to worship the first peace to worship in harmony with the roman catholic system of worship and this first beast has a mark which america is going to force the whole world to receive and we need to therefore ask the roman catholic system what is your mark of authority what is your signature to your false claim that you are to receive worship they speak themselves in the canon and tradition page 263 it says the authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the scriptures because the church had changed the sabbath to sunday not by command of christ but by its own authority so here is a confession that the roman catholic church believes that its authority is not based on scripture the roman catholic church believes that it should not limit its activities to instructions that come from christ but the roman catholic church has authority that is outside scripture so it believes and a sign the sign of its authority is that it changed or it attempted to change the sabbath from saturday to sunday that is it sign of authority saying look the bible says people should worship on sabbath which is saturday but we came and out of our own authority we changed it from saturday to sunday and so that changed from saturday to sunday is evidence that we have our own authority that that is outside christ that is outside the bible this authority is within ourselves i'll read another quotation from cardinal gibbons in a reply to a letter dated 28 october 1894 it says of course the catholic church claims that the change from sabbath to sandy was her act and the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters so the church of rome the roman catholic church is saying to show that we have power in religious matters to show that we have power to force people to worship according to our religious beliefs is the fact that we changed sabbath to sunday and it's true when you look at why people are worshiping on sunday today it is not because what the bible says because we looked at what the bible teaches in our last lesson and it's clear the bible teaches that those who love christ those who want to obey god and to keep the sabbath as his sign of creative and redemptive power and the sabbath my brother my sisters is saturday so where do we get this thing that christians are worshiping on sunday where do we find the change from sabbath to saturn you will find in history and we'll find here from this confession from the catholic church and it's very public the catholic church is the one that changed the day of worship from saturday to sunday and they're saying look the fact that we did it is proof and it is the sign our authority without a doubt the command to worship on sunday is the signature of the authority of the roman catholic church and first worshipped on sunday is the mark of worshiping the purple system it is the mark of the beast and so we would like to be very clear the beast only gets world dominion when it has civil authority supporting it and when there is civil authority that is there to penalize people who want to go contrary to it this is not what is taking place right now in october 2020 yes people are still worshipping on sunday but they are worshipping on sunday not because there is a government a governmental law forcing you to worship on sunday there is the worldwide power that's forcing all the world to worship the beast so this means that this sign of authority this mark of the beast is not yet in force it only comes in force when america forces the whole world to set up an institution that unites church and state and when america forces the whole world to enforce sunday lord that becomes the mark of the beast because worshiping on sunday is a sign of the purple claim the false purple claim to worship the claim to have authority to change god's law the claim to be above the word of god is fraud and is worse than how frank abagnale once claimed to be a pilot or how he claimed to be a doctor it's worse than that people who do these things will force claims to specific privileges may enjoy the benefits of the false title many may be deceived into giving him what he claims to be entitled to receive but it does not change the fact that he is an unauthorized signatory and cannot be given such a role of receiving such privileges on the other hand as we started in the last presentation the sabbath is god's seal of authority it is the signature of his right to be worshipped so here we find two signatures one signature is false coming from the pope where he says the signature of my authority is that i changed the sabbath from saturday to sunday and the fact that i did it and people follow it is my proof that i deserve to be worshiped that's his sign of authority that his mark of authority but he is not yet enforcing it right now because the world does not yet have a system to force people to worship on sunday so his mark of authority is not yet in place on the other hand we have god who has his sign of authority he has his seal of authority which is the sabbath and he says look i created the heavens and the earth and i died for you on the cross i am the one who can redeem you and it is because of that that you should worship me and the sabbath is his seal of authority two powers two signatures one has an authentic claim to receiving worship and the other has a false claim a counterfeit claim to receive worship the bible therefore reveals that the usa will be the driving force behind the creation of a worldwide unification of church and state this will be a mirror reflection of the power of the purple system during the dark ages it will be the image of the beast it is at that time that the roman catholic church will once again have world dominion with civil power this will be the healing of its wound as a sign of its authority there will be a worldwide enforcement to worship on sunday failure of which will initially result in civil penalties and then finally a death sentence it is only after the sunday law is enacted by government that people receive the mark of the beast by knowingly worshipping on sunday no one has the mark of the beast yet because there is no global law there is no national law forcing you to worship on sunday at the pain of death but they shall come a time when this shall take place in that worshipping on sunday after that national law and that global law is given when when that takes place and one still continues to worship on sunday they will be receiving the mark of the beast because they will be accepting the authority of the pope of all revelation 13 verse 18 then says here is wisdom let him that understanding count the number of the beast which is the number of a man and his number is six hundred and six score and six listen clearly what the mark of the beast is now let us consider the meaning of the number of the beast which is the number of his name 6 6 6. 666 is not the mark of the beast it is the number of the beast but not the mark of the beast the mark of the beast the sign of his authority is enforced sunday worship but 666 is his number the man referred to in revelation 13 18 would naturally be the head of the beast the leader of the roman catholic system of worship it points to the office of the pope now we need to look at the pope and see does he have any titles that would give us the number six six six and the answer is yes is a leading title for the pope is vicar of the son of god in latin this is vicarius philly day and this latin title when added up in numerical value using roman letters remember latin is a roman language and this roman language has roman letters and these roman letters had roman numerical values and when we take all of this into consideration we will come up with a very interesting revelation vicarious has its values v is 5 i is 1 c is 100 a and r have no value i has 1 u was also substituted to mean v which is the value of 5 and s is no value add that up and you come up with 112 fairly f has no value in the roman system i is valued at 1. l is valid at 50 i and i once again one and one the total 53 they has its numerical value d is valued at 500 e has no numerical value i once again has the value of one subtotal of that 501 add all of this 112 plus 53 plus 501 the roman numerical value to the roman and latin title of the pope ficarius phillyday brings us to 666 the number the bible gives for the beast this follows the ancient custom of a person having a name as well as a number lesson 17 jesus in the sanctuary we learned that all those who profess faith in jesus christ had their names written the lamb's book of life in that presentation we learned that in 1844 jesus began reviewing its name that was written in the book of life to judge if each believer reflected their claims of faith in him we also learned that jesus began with those who first expressed faith in him such as adam such as sith and all those that followed those who are long dead and christ has continued to judge those who died in the faith from that time all until the time that you are living in this is called the judging of the dead in this judgment those that clan to known sin will have their names plotted out from the lamb's book of life and those who lived in harmony with their faith would have their sins plotted out we looked at this lesson 15 however we are first approaching a solemn time when jesus will move from judging the dead when he would have concluded judging all those who ever claimed to have faith in him and he would then begin to judge the living that takes us to revelation 13 verse 8 and all that dwell on the earth shall worship him whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world this verse shows us that during the worldwide enforcement of the sunday law those who will worship the pope by observing sunday sacredness and not the biblical sabbath will still be alive but not have their names in the lamb's book of life the bible tells us that those who worship the beast will be those whose names are not written in the lamb's book of life and so whoever worships the beast will not have his name in the book of life so either their names had never been written in that book or they were once written in the book but were bloated out when jesus judges the living the faith of each individual on earth will be tested to worship the pope and obey the enforced sunday law and receive the mark of the beast and have their names blotted from the book of life or they would decide to obey god kept the sabbath which is the seal of god and have their sins blotted out and have their names retained the lamb's book of life those who love and depend on jesus and have a faith that works by love will reveal their devotion to jesus and experience his saving power by refusing to worship the papacy they will observe the biblical sabbath and reject the mark of the beast which is worshiping on sunday during the national sunday law when this happens by god's grace jesus will retain their names in the lamb's book of life my brothers and my sisters do you want to have your name retained in the lamb's book of life do you want to ask for grace to reject the pope's counterfeit and unauthorized signature to his false claim to receive worship if you sense your need and you want to understand more of this issue if you realize that you're weak in upholding the commandments of god like every other person for we are all weak we've all fallen short of the glory of god and if you are like me and you're saying lord i'm not able to stand this test lord i am going to fail if you don't uphold me if you are like me and you're saying lord in my own strength i cannot be faithful and i know that if you do not uphold me my name will be blotted out from the lamb's book of life my name will be blotted out from your book and you are appealing to the lord lord i want to be faithful but i need your help i want to be able to observe the sabbath but i need your help i need your grace to be upon me i want to be able to resist temptation even to resist receiving the mark of the beast why because lord i love you and i want to keep your commandments because you died for me and you know what is best for me i want to honor you and i want to obey you if that is your plea then join me as we pray asking christ for such special grace we are praying our father in heaven we thank you for the study of the chapter revelation chapter 13 you've shown us the things that are going to come and we know lord that in our own selves we do not have the strength to resist such a challenging temptation where there will be economic sanctions and where ultimately they'll be the death sentence right now lord in heaven we stumbled and fall in keeping your commandments including the sabbath we play lord in heaven that may help us to be faithful help us today lord to learn to depend on your strength so that lord when the test comes we know that we've tasted and we've seen that you are able to keep us from falling out lord in heaven in our witness your strength is made perfect we pray lord in heaven that may grant us grace day by day to see that in your name we're able to resist temptation and that lord may grow in strength that may grow in faith that may grow in grace after this final test is done our names shall still be found in the lamb's book of life that will receive your seal and that will be obedient to you and that lord in heaven finally we will be able to see your coming in power and great glory we thank you lord for your goodness and your grace please lord in heaven we pray that you may give us a clear understanding of the things that shall take place in jesus name we pray amen
