hey everybody this is your trusty tech dude here at fca and um some of you are new but what i try to do is every at least once a month every two weeks something like that is put out a tech tip right and so this will be our first tech tip all of my previous tech tips are on our websites uh if you haven't if you're a new teacher and you have not been given uh rights to go see the websites our fca staff website let me know and i'll get you put on there otherwise this is our first tech tip and this tech tip listen to me is required everyone has to do this tech tip okay you remember at the beginning here i showed you how to set your um that thingy at the bottom the footer it's not a footer signature block there we go uh a signature block i showed you how to set one of those up in our gmail accounts well this one is to show you how to set one up in fact so we have it ready for you i'm going to show you how to do it alright so first thing is login to fax all right we log into fax and we're going to go ahead and go to our email if you're not already there mine went directly there but go to your email i have a child creeping up on me um uh okay am i i'm trying to do a video okay anyway um all right so go to your email and then what you want to do is over here at templates now you have to be careful don't change any of these other ones here the only one i want you to change is all the way down at the bottom the mon the one made by me the signature the sorry the teacher signature block template click on that that'll bring out the template that we want you to use okay so now what you're going to do is you're going to take it and put your name in here and don't push enter or anything right so all right so you're going to put your name in here so joe elliott okay and then you're going to put your teacher position um i put a mathematics teacher fourth grade teacher whatever you do and don't push enter so if it's two you know like for this if i'm singer slash songwriter i'm not pressing enter i'm using a forward slash okay so do that once you get in there everything else will be the same okay don't change fca classical.org keep the image the same as it is just change your first name and then so i'm joe elliott singer songwriter extra credit for anyone who doesn't have to look up who joe elliott is and then come up here what you want to do is you want to save this so you're going to save it and you're going to save it as new and it's going to be a personal one so nobody else will see it all right i would recommend putting your name and then signature black so joe elliott signature black make sure it says personal and then save and close anytime that you come in here right here joe elliott signature block and then when you go to create you can see these boxes these text boxes when you go to create your email click in that first text box there and then start typing uh typing in there okay and then that's it so you can the great thing about technology in these videos is you can watch it as fast or as slow or as many times as you need to this too will be uploaded to our fca staff website for you to refer back to if you have any questions um that um weren't if that weren't i'm not trying to say uh hit in this video if you still need more help trying to get this set up please don't hesitate to contact me but let's try to all have this done by monday so that whenever we send emails from fax or whenever we send emails from google it will all look the same no matter what the only thing when facts you have to remember every email that you send you have to include that signature block all right peace out
